Chapter 355 I Took It Seriously

Colin's lips twisted into a cold smile as he heard her words. He braced one hand against the wall, trapping Anna firmly between the wall and his body. He looked down at her, her small, pitiful, and helpless face now crystal clear in his eyes. His gaze held a mix of frustration and anger. "I'm not drunk."

He spoke each word with a determined tone, "You said it yourself. You can't back out now. You said if you broke up with Caleb, you'd be with me. Can you take back what you said?"

Anna was at a loss for words. She had indeed said those things, but that was before she realized her feelings for Colin.

Now, she found herself deeply entangled in this emotional quagmire, unable to extricate herself. Yet, faced with Colin's questioning, she couldn't find a suitable excuse to explain her change of heart.

Colin had been waiting, always waiting. Waiting for her to break up with Caleb, waiting through their near marriage, waiting through her kidnapping, waiting...

He didn't want to wait any longer. Who knew what other twists and turns lay ahead? He wanted her now.

Anna's back was pressed tightly against the cold wall, as if bound by invisible shackles, not daring to move an inch. Her view was completely blocked by his broad and solid chest, leaving her helplessly staring at the small space shrouded by his figure. Her heart pounded like a drum, the sound echoing in her chest, so tense she could barely breathe.

Suddenly, Colin pressed her hard against the wall, the sudden force making her gasp involuntarily, her voice barely a whisper. She felt his chest against hers, his hot breath seeming to burn through their clothes, branding her skin.

"I was just joking," Anna managed to say, her voice trembling, trying to explain her previous careless words. However, her explanation seemed to have no effect, only making the atmosphere more delicate and tense.

Colin's deep, magnetic voice sounded in her ear, with a hint of amusement and seriousness, "What if I took it seriously?"

His words struck her heart like a bolt of lightning, making her whole body tremble.

Anna's breath caught, as if an invisible hand was choking her, the air around her thinning. His unique scent, a mix of masculine and faint tobacco, made her dizzy, as if drawn by an invisible force, unable to escape.

Colin stood there like a perfect sculpture, every detail exuding deadly charm. His tall, imposing figure, those deep, captivating eyes, and the unintentional display of dominance and confidence perfectly embodied the term 'walking hormone.'

In that moment, she felt enveloped by his aura and charm, completely losing her ability to think and judge.

It took Anna a while to regain her thoughts. She raised her hand to push him away, "What are you doing? Let me go."

She continued, her voice tinged with tears, "I'll pretend nothing happened today, we can still be friends..."

But before she could finish, Colin's sudden action interrupted her. He leaned down abruptly, his lips sealing hers, swallowing all her unfinished words. His kiss was intense and domineering, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Anna's mind went blank, her body frozen in place. The kiss came out of nowhere, catching her completely off guard, leaving her at his mercy. Her heart raced, her breathing quickened, as if the world had shrunk to just the two of them.

Taking advantage of her daze, Colin pulled back slightly, his deep eyes gazing at her, burning with intensity. His voice was low and seductive, as if it could stir one's soul, "Who wants to be friends? I want you to be my girlfriend."

With that, he leaned down again, pressing his lips to hers. This kiss was deeper, more lingering, as if he wanted to melt all her resistance and hesitation in his tenderness. She wanted to struggle, but her body responded to his kiss, as if drawn by a mysterious force.

Anna's body went limp, as if all her strength had been drained, her purse and scarf slipping helplessly from her hands, landing softly on the cold floor with a faint sound. Her eyes were empty and confused, her thoughts a chaotic mess, unable to recall how the conversation had spiraled to this irretrievable point.

She tried to remember, to grasp those scattered fragments of memory, but her mind was a blur, like a swarm of bees buzzing, making it impossible to focus. She couldn't remember which word, which inadvertent glance, or which subtle action had angered him.

Usually, Colin was the man with a bit of a roguish charm, yet exuding elegance.

But now, Colin was like an enraged beast, his eyes flashing with unprecedented anger and determination. She was shocked to find that she couldn't handle this side of him at all. The usual tactics of pouting, pleading, or even threatening seemed so powerless now.

At this moment, Colin finally tore off his mask, his possessiveness and dominance, the aura of a superior, fully exposed.

Barely escaping his scorching kiss, Anna tilted her head back, taking deep breaths of fresh air.

It was as if she had just woken from a suffocating dream. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes filled with panic and shyness.

Just now, although his hand had only lightly touched her skin, giving her a slight shiver, he hadn't done anything more excessive. But that intimate contact was enough to make her heart race and her thoughts scatter.

However, before Anna could fully recover, she suddenly felt herself lifted off the ground, Colin effortlessly picking her up like a light kitten, striding towards the soft bed in the center of the room.

The large room was lit only by a small lamp near the door, casting a warm, dim glow that made the space feel both cozy and ambiguous. The lack of light, the darkness, seemed to cloak everything in a veil of mystery, making it easier to lose oneself and make decisions one wouldn't normally make.

Colin tossed her onto the bed, Anna retreating in fear, her red lips glistening, tempting destruction.

"Colin, unripe fruit isn't sweet."

He laughed, untying his tie, "You won't know until you taste it."

Anna sighed helplessly, her voice trembling with a hint of frustration, "You're a pervert!" Though her words were accusatory, to him, they sounded more like a playful tease.
