Chapter 329 The Warmth of Home
The response quickly caught people's attention. Many customers who had been unsure about the negative reviews showed their support and understanding after seeing the store's positive reply. They left comments expressing their trust in the store's integrity and quality, saying that a few nasty reviews wouldn't change their opinion of the shop.
Anna felt relieved after seeing Bella's reply. "Bella, you nailed it! You made our stance clear and won the customers' understanding and support. I believe that as long as we keep going, these malicious reviews will eventually fade away."
After addressing all the negative reviews that might be related to Charlotte, Bella deliberately avoided naming her directly. She knew that some of the feedback might be genuine and not from Charlotte. She chose a more cautious and rational approach to express the store's position.
Once she finished replying, Bella picked up Anna's phone and waited quietly. She anticipated that if Charlotte was indeed behind all this, she would likely react to the store's response.
Sure enough, twenty minutes later, Charlotte's message arrived. It was filled with provocation and dissatisfaction, accusing the store of rebutting her reviews and suggesting that the store should reflect on its issues instead of shirking responsibility.
[I'm gonna take down your shady store! You offer high wages when hiring, but then find excuses to fire people without paying them what they're owed. If that's not shady, what is? As long as I'm breathing, I'll order from your store every day and leave bad reviews! I can afford it!]
Bella's eyes flashed with a hint of coldness as she read the message. "Anna, take a look."
Bella handed the phone to Anna, pointing at Charlotte's message. "This is her true face. She not only refuses to reflect on her mistakes but also tries to twist the truth."
Anna's face turned pale with anger as she read the message. "This is outrageous! Bella, what should we do?"
Bella and Anna were both shocked and frustrated by Charlotte's angry and provocative message. They knew that Charlotte's actions had gone far beyond normal customer feedback and had become a form of malicious revenge and attack.
Anna took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, and then continued typing a reply on her phone: [Charlotte, do you think you can make me give in with this? Let me tell you, I've never been afraid of anyone since I opened this store! If you have the guts, come at me openly, don't play these petty tricks behind my back! Malicious reviews and slander are illegal! Do you think you can destroy me? Don't forget, we were once close friends. Can you do this with a clear conscience?]
Bella nodded slightly as she read Anna's reply, feeling that it expressed anger while maintaining rationality, avoiding unnecessary arguments.
Bella calmly analyzed Charlotte's behavior and continued, "Charlotte's actions seem like revenge, but in reality, she's seeking psychological balance. By ordering takeout and leaving bad reviews every day, she's trying to make us feel her dissatisfaction and anger. When we don't respond, she might feel even more frustrated and angry because she thinks we're not paying attention to her voice."
"But we can't let her get to us," Bella continued. "Our store's reputation and image aren't built on arguments and disputes. We need to stay calm and rational, using our products and services to earn customers' trust and support."
"Alright, Anna, let's leave it at that," Bella said. "We've made our stance clear. Now, we leave the rest to time. I believe that justice will prevail, and the truth will come out."
Anna's anger gradually subsided after hearing Bella's words. She nodded and said, "Bella, you're right. We can't let her actions affect us."
"But what if the malicious reviews keep coming?" Anna was still a bit worried.
"We'll need to adopt some strategies," Bella smiled. "For example, we can invite some loyal customers to dine at our store and offer them small discounts or freebies, encouraging them to leave genuine positive reviews. We can also actively promote our store on social media, showcasing our unique features and advantages to attract more new customers."
"Additionally, we can consider reporting Charlotte's malicious behavior to the platform," Bella added. "Although this might not solve the problem immediately, it can at least make the platform aware of our situation and possibly offer some help or support."
"I think your ideas are great, Bella. You're really good at this kind of strategic thinking," Anna said, her eyes shining with admiration for Bella.
"And we can include small cards and freebies in our takeout orders, surprising customers and encouraging them to leave positive reviews. As you said, we have many repeat customers who would be happy to help us out," Anna continued.
Bella smiled and nodded, "Exactly. We can write warm messages or thank-you notes on the cards, making customers feel our care and attention. This way, they're more likely to develop a positive impression of our store and spread the word."
Anna's tone was a mix of teasing and sincerity as she looked at Bella, "It seems like you've picked up a lot of business tricks from Sterling over the years, haven't you? Is he the one influencing you?"
Bella chuckled and gently patted Anna's shoulder, "Do you think I'm just Sterling's sidekick? Can't I learn from running the store with you?"
Anna laughed, "You're right. I won't mention him anymore. If Colin hears, you can deal with him."
Colin peeked out from the kitchen, looking innocent, "What? Who's going to deal with me?" His tone was playful.
Bella and Anna exchanged a knowing smile and shook their heads, "Get back to cooking, chef! We don't want to go hungry."
Colin smiled helplessly and returned to his work. By noon, he had prepared a table full of delicious dishes, each one looking and smelling amazing.
Usually, Bella and Anna were busy with the store's daily tasks from dawn till dusk, rarely leaving their little haven.
Day after day, they would return home exhausted but satisfied, to rest in their simple yet somewhat lonely home.
