Chapter 453 Change to Another Place

Bella's eyes widened as she stared at Sterling in disbelief, shocked to her core. He must have lost his mind! This sudden intimacy left her feeling both conflicted and furious, as if she'd been swept into an unexpected storm with no way out.

She tried hard to stay calm, but thinking about how close they were right now, skin against skin, her cheeks flushed red without her realizing it. Her heart was torn - on one hand resisting this behavior, on the other hand, somehow drawn in by his passion. Maybe it was the stimulating environment, or maybe it was Sterling's irresistible charm, but her breathing gradually became rapid and her thoughts started to blur.

Bella tried to fight this impulse with reason, gripping the chair back tightly with one hand while weakly pushing him away with the other, her voice carrying a hint of pleading: "Get up! Not here! I'm begging you." Though her voice was soft, every word revealed her inner struggle and helplessness.

She knew Sterling's temper well - he responded to gentleness, not force. In such a sensitive moment, yelling and accusations would only make him more stubborn, while gentle pleading might calm him down.

So she chose this approach to try to wake up his reason, hoping he would realize his behavior wasn't appropriate right now.

Sterling straightened up slightly, his gaze falling tenderly and deeply on Bella's flawless face. Her skin glowed softly under the light, like fine porcelain.

He couldn't help but plant a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose - a kiss full of affection and indulgence, as if comforting her and telling himself that all of this was so natural. His movements were gentle and delicate, as if afraid of startling her.

However, Bella became even more annoyed by this sudden kiss. She widened her eyes, trying to express her displeasure and anger through her gaze.

But at this moment, her eyes had lost their usual sharpness and instead carried a different kind of allure - an indescribable charm that was impossible to resist.

Her eyes held shyness, playful anger, and a hint of helplessness and anticipation.

These complex emotions intertwined to create a unique atmosphere that made Sterling's heartbeat even faster and strengthened his determination to continue.

He looked at her, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth: "You mean not here is okay? Then how about we go somewhere else?"

Bella knew Sterling was deliberately saying this, setting a trap and waiting for her to fall in. She was clear-headed - if she answered "yes" right now, Sterling would definitely use it as an opportunity to pursue her even more relentlessly.

But if she chose to answer "no," given the current situation, Sterling definitely wouldn't let it go. He had plenty of ways and patience to press her step by step until she had nowhere to escape.

In this parking lot with people coming and going during the day, she definitely didn't want to. Sterling knew her inside and out.

Anyway, Sterling's strategy was obvious now - he was using a slow, pressing approach, not rushing for results but slowly wearing her down, wearing down her patience, wearing down her defenses, until her psychological barriers were broken down bit by bit.

Finally, under Sterling's seductive gaze, Bella compromised. She said quietly: "Yes! Now get up!"

But Bella still underestimated Sterling's shamelessness. After getting her answer, he didn't get up as she wished. Instead, he pressed down harder, fitting even more closely against her, his tone emotional and low: "Almost there, just wait a bit longer."

Bella felt Sterling's hardness. She was forced to tilt her head back, anger instantly surging in her heart. She was so angry she could bite, but could only passively accept it.

The moment it finally ended, she seized the chance to push him away forcefully, quickly getting up and frantically straightening her disheveled clothes, her face full of shame and anger: "You bastard!"

Sterling watched Bella's embarrassed and annoyed expression, a teasing glint flashing in his eyes. He licked his lips with lingering satisfaction, as if still savoring the taste. He deliberately teased her: "What? Not enough? I can continue."

Bella's cheeks flushed red with anger at Sterling's words. She widened her eyes, glaring at him: "You're shameless! What if I get pregnant?"

Hearing this, Sterling's expression suddenly turned serious. The earlier impulse and pleasure were instantly replaced by deep guilt.

He hadn't considered this point before. It had been so long that he'd actually forgotten Bella's body wasn't suitable for pregnancy right now.

Sterling's face visibly paled, self-blame instantly flooding his heart. Only now did he realize belatedly that he had been reckless.

If Bella got pregnant, she would be the one suffering, and this child absolutely couldn't be born. If Bella had to go through the pain of losing a child again, he knew she would never forgive him for the rest of her life.

Thinking of this, Sterling's thoughts gradually returned, and he calmed down completely. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his inner panic, then looked at Bella firmly, saying gently and seriously: "It's okay, don't worry. I'll drive to get the pill right now. Taking that kind of medicine once in a while won't have too much effect on your body. I'm sorry, I was reckless this time."

Bella ignored Sterling's words. She was just very angry, so with a heart full of fury, she yanked the car door open and strode out.

Bella thought back to that night when he drunkenly barged in, her mood unable to calm down for a long time. That night, she shouldn't have let him have his way.

Now it was like invisible shackles binding her tightly to this tangled emotional mess that she couldn't cut through or sort out.

Only now did Bella realize - once there's a first time, there will be countless times! She angrily kicked a pebble by the roadside.

Bella kept warning herself that once you cross that line, it's almost impossible to pull back.

She had told herself countless times to firmly draw a clear line with Sterling, to stop letting past shadows continue haunting her.

But reality was always so cruel, pushing her again and again toward the abyss she desperately wanted to escape.

Clearly, she had tried every way to come to this city just to escape him, to escape those painful memories, but now it seemed like all her efforts were in vain.

Bella thought that as long as she stayed away from him, she could start over, could find her old self again, but fate kept making her reunite with him again and again, falling into this inescapable situation again and again.

She deserved it!

Bella stopped walking and looked up at the starry sky, trying to calm herself down. However, no matter how hard she tried, the anger and unwillingness in her heart just wouldn't go away.
