Chapter 181 During the Banquet 2

Debra was also dressed in a glamorous gown, making her look even more dazzling tonight.

Anna knew that the last incident was her fault, which led to Opal and Colin's broken engagement.

So now, no matter what Opal said, she couldn't refute it, which made her feel very frustrated.

When Debra saw Bella, she naturally didn't have a pleasant expression either.

With a flash of disgust in her eyes, she said impatiently, "I need to talk to you."

Bella looked at Debra coldly and said, "If you have something to say, say it here."

Anna also looked at Debra with disgust, but Debra, seeing the crowd around them, didn't want to discuss family matters in public.

She turned her anger towards Anna instead. "What is a bankrupt loser like you doing here? You make friends with anyone, even homeless people. You really have no standards."

Debra's last sentence was clearly directed at Bella. Anna, with her fiery temper, had never been spoken to like this before.

She wanted to slap Debra, having wanted to do so for a long time, but Bella held her back.

Tonight was Colin's mother's birthday party, and she didn't want to cause a scene.

"Don't stoop to the level of her. If a dog bites you, you don't bite it back, do you?" Bella's words gave Anna some relief.

"Right, we shouldn't lower ourselves to that level," Anna said, pulling Bella to leave.

"Stop, did I say you could go?" Opal suddenly spoke, reaching out to block Anna.

Just as Anna was about to speak, Colin came over. Without a word, he took Anna by the arm and led her away, not even giving her a chance to say goodbye to Bella.

Seeing Colin leave with Anna without even glancing at her, Opal's face turned pale with anger. She stomped her foot hard before turning to chase after them.

Bella was speechless for a moment. Colin was really arrogant, couldn't he see she was there too?

Seeing that the troublesome people had left, Debra finally said, "Bella, did you know that Mom and Dad got divorced?"

Debra's words made Bella pause for a moment. She quickly masked her emotions and said, "What does that have to do with me? Their divorce has nothing to do with me."

Seeing Bella's reaction, Debra became furious. "Mom and Dad's divorce is all because of you. Stop pretending to be innocent. If you hadn't caused a scene at our house last time, Dad wouldn't have fought with Mom, and they wouldn't have divorced."

Bella found it very amusing. "So their divorce is because I caused a scene? If that's the case, should I cause another scene so they can remarry? Don't blame everything on me. You know very well what they're like. Divorce was inevitable."

But Bella was still a bit surprised. She hadn't expected Mira and Dash to actually get divorced.

It seemed that Mira's chosen marriage wasn't as happy as she thought. Bella felt a bit of unspeakable satisfaction.

However, Bella maintained a nonchalant attitude. "Debra, tonight is Gia's birthday party. I suggest you don't cause trouble here."

Debra's eyes were filled with hatred, and she looked like she could explode at any moment. "Bella, don't get too smug. Everything Mom gave you belongs to me. Don't even think about taking any of it."

Mira and Dash had split their assets during the divorce, and Mira had given half to Bella.

Debra had found out by accident, which was why she was so desperate to confront Bella tonight.

Bella laughed in anger. "Debra, I only just found out about their divorce from you. What did she give me? Besides, her things reek of a foul smell. Do you think I care?"

"I'm the mistress of the Windsor family. What don't I have? Do you think I care about her things? Don't use her to disgust me."

Bella's venomous words made Debra's eyes redden again. If it weren't for the fact that they were in a banquet hall, she would have already torn Bella apart.

"Don't get too complacent, and don't push your luck. Do you think you can gain anything by relying on Sterling? One day, Sterling will see your true colors—selfish and hypocritical."

Bella wondered if Debra was out of her mind. She sneered. "Aren't you describing yourself?"

Bella didn't want to argue with Debra any longer. She turned and went to find Sterling.

Watching Bella's retreating figure, Debra wanted to tear her apart, but she remembered her plan for tonight.

Debra's lips curled into a smile. Tonight, she would ruin Bella's reputation and make her pay, and she would also destroy Bella and Sterling's relationship.

Debra glanced at Bella in the distance, her plan quietly brewing in her mind.

She knew that Sterling was most sensitive about James, so tonight she would make sure Bella was ruined here.

Bella's heart was racing, but she didn't know why. In fact, she had seen James when she first entered, but because of Sterling, she hadn't gone to talk to him. She also felt that there was nothing to say to James now.

Bella sighed, not knowing where Colin had taken Anna.

She wanted to find Sterling, but seeing him chatting with those big shots, she felt it was pointless.

Then, her eyes lit up as she saw Nia in the banquet hall, flirting with a guy who blushed and ran away. Bella couldn't help but laugh.

Seeing Nia's lively personality, Bella was really envious. It seemed like nothing was a big deal to Nia.

Nia often said that she had seen through life and death, and if she was unhappy, she would make a scene. That was Nia's personality.

Bella watched Nia effortlessly navigate among the elite, truly admiring her social skills.

Sterling looked in Bella's direction, smiled at her, and waved her over. Bella, feeling helpless, had no choice but to walk towards the center of the banquet with her wine glass.

Bella was already very beautiful, and tonight she was undoubtedly the center of attention, so stunning that people couldn't take their eyes off her.

Sterling pulled her into his arms. "Where did you go just now?"

Bella smiled but didn't say anything. She just turned to Gia and said, "Mrs. Rivera, happy birthday."

Gia liked Bella very much and beamed, "Thank you. You look beautiful tonight."

Bella blushed at the compliment and lowered her head without saying anything.

Gia looked at Sterling and Bella and sighed, "You two have such a good relationship. I don't know where Colin has run off to tonight. We're trying to find him a wife, but he hasn't even shown up."

Bella caught the key point in Gia's words. "Mrs. Rivera, are you matchmaking for Colin tonight?"

Gia laughed, "Yes, but that brat, Colin—I just saw him from behind a moment ago, and now I have no idea where he's vanished to."

Then she said to Bella, "Help me look around and see if there's any girl suitable to be Colin's wife."

Bella thought of Anna and then gave an awkward but polite smile, quickly excusing herself from Gia.

Bella pulled Sterling aside, her face not looking good as she dragged him to the outdoor balcony.

Sterling, seeing her angry expression, couldn't help but smile. It seemed she was coming to give him a hard time.
