Chapter 300 Sad Father and Daughter

Debra took a deep breath and continued, "But the people I hired screwed up. They grabbed Anna by mistake. Who would've thought Anna would be so unlucky to wear Bella's clothes? And since Anna had crossed me before, I didn't really care. By the time I got there, Anna's clothes had been stripped off, but before anything could happen, Caleb stopped it. He knew I had grabbed Anna and told me not to touch her, but those guys still roughed her up."

"Because of that, he threw me into the nightclub to entertain guests as punishment. I didn't know Anna was his girl. From start to finish, I didn't get anything out of this. That's all I know."

Debra lowered her head, her long hair covering her tear-streaked face. She knew that nothing she said could change the fact that she had made a huge mistake.

"Anna is Caleb's girl?" Colin's voice was low and filled with anger, his hands gripping the steering wheel like he wanted to crush it.

Colin looked at Debra with a mix of fury and disappointment. "How old are you? So young and already so vicious! Bella is your sister, and even if Anna had wronged you, she didn't deserve this! Everything that's happened to you is your own doing!"

A cold smile flashed across Debra's face, showing she didn't care about Colin's accusations. "I deserve it? Anyone who crosses me shouldn't have a good ending! Especially Bella. Why should my mom give her the inheritance? Why does Sterling like her while I get nothing?"

Colin didn't want to waste any more words on the stubborn Debra. He spat out a single word coldly, "Get out!"

Debra knew that continuing to argue would do her no good. These people were ruthless, and she couldn't afford to provoke them. She had learned this lesson the hard way since the day Sterling turned against her.

Debra silently got out of the car, watching Colin drive away, nearly knocking her over. A surge of anger rose within her.

Debra held back her fury and took a cab to Mira's place.

As she approached the door, she saw Dash standing outside. Surprised, she asked, "Dad, what's going on? Why are you out here?"

Not only was Dash outside, but their luggage was also scattered on the ground, looking particularly pitiful. Debra's heart sank, realizing the situation was worse than she had imagined.

Dash's face was full of worry as he sighed, "Debra, we've been kicked out. Mira won't let us stay here anymore."

Debra felt a rush of blood to her head. She glared at Dash, her voice trembling with anger, "It's all your fault! If you hadn't pushed me to come to Mira, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

Dash had no words to defend himself and could only lower his head, silently enduring Debra's accusations. He knew he was partly to blame, but he hadn't expected things to turn out this way.

The father and daughter stood in silence, packing their belongings, preparing to find another place to stay.

They knew this incident had thoroughly angered Mira and the others, leaving their future uncertain and dangerous.

Dash's face was twisted with anger, his voice shaking with frustration. "Your mom is heartless! She tricked me into going shopping, then locked me out and threw all our stuff out! Worse, she changed the locks while I was out, so my key doesn't work anymore! I had to wander the streets all night!"

Debra's heart was filled with resentment towards Mira. She furiously took off her high heels and pounded on the closed door, screaming, "Mira! I'm your daughter! How can you treat me like this? If you don't let me in, I'll go find Bella, even if it means we both go down!"

Inside, Mira paced the living room, irritated by the commotion outside.

She knew that letting them in would mean endless demands, draining her of every ounce of energy.

But if she didn't let them in, she worried Debra might really go after Bella.

Mira had been keeping an eye on Bella's movements and knew she had left the Windsor Villa, though the exact reason was still unclear. If Debra went after Bella now, it would undoubtedly cause more trouble.

After a long internal struggle, Mira couldn't stand the noise any longer and yanked the door open.

Debra and Dash immediately rushed inside, like starving beasts finally finding their prey.

Debra shouted as soon as she entered, "If you dare kick us out again, I'll go after Bella! I see now, you only care about that outsider!"

Debra's words were filled with anger and resentment towards Mira, pouring out all her hatred.

Mira looked at the father and daughter, a hint of helplessness and exhaustion in her eyes.

She knew this drama needed an ending, but reconciliation was far from simple. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself for whatever might come next.

Mira's face was cold, her tone firm and unyielding. "Debra, watch your mouth. I've taught you how to behave since you were little, but it seems you haven't learned anything. I'm letting you in to give you time to settle yourselves. I've divorced Dash, and we have no ties. You're an adult now, still in school. I won't ask for custody, but I'll pay half your living and tuition expenses. That's all."

Debra had hoped to rely on her mom for a stable life, but Mira's attitude left her feeling hopeless.

Dash, on the other hand, was more pragmatic. He knew Mira's stance was non-negotiable, so he shamelessly tried to secure the best deal.

"Debra wants to study abroad. Do you know how expensive that is? I can't afford it now."

Dash began to plead, trying to sway Mira.

"Even if we're divorced, you have to take care of your daughter, right? I'll find a job and go abroad with her. I'll provide the support, you cover the costs. That's fair, right? Don't just pay half, cover it all. We'll go far away and never bother you again."

Mira listened to Dash's words, a hint of disdain in her eyes. She knew he was just trying to make her pay for everything.
