Chapter 146 Really Just Sleeping
But Anna unexpectedly said, "It's so late, how do you expect me to clean? You're just piling on more work because you're not happy with my hourly wage, right? Adding more work this late?"
Colin rubbed his forehead and smiled. Typical Anna, always thinking differently. Instead of accusing him of dirtying the sofa on purpose to make her sleep in the bed with him, she was worried about cleaning.
He said, "Clean it tomorrow. Since it's already dirty, just sleep in the bed."
Anna snapped, "What? How can a decent girl like me sleep with you?"
Colin suddenly grabbed her, "Really, Anna, it's just sleeping."
She looked at Colin suspiciously. She saw sincerity in his eyes as he said, "I still have my boundaries."
Not convinced, Anna took a step back, only to trip over a chair behind her. As she was about to fall, Colin reached out and caught her by the waist, bringing them face to face.
Anna could hear her own heartbeat.
Colin asked, "Do you agree?"
She turned her head away, "Let go of me."
Colin held her waist tightly. Anna tried to break free, but he pressed her against the bar behind her. He leaned close to her neck and pleaded, "Please, Anna."
Anna's waist hurt from his grip. She gritted her teeth and said, "Colin, you jerk, let go of me. What are you doing? You're a playboy, always having one-night stands. Can't you find someone else? I really can't."
Colin suddenly said, "Don't move."
Anna instantly felt a change in his body; he became hot against her.
She felt his body temperature and didn't dare to move. Her face blushed, and her heart raced, "Colin, you..."
Finding it difficult to speak, Anna trailed off.
Colin held her waist closer, "I just drank too much, it's a natural reaction."
He whispered in her ear, "Anna, just sleep with me, really, nothing else."
Then he picked Anna up and carried her to the room. As soon as Anna got on the bed, she tried to escape, but Colin grabbed her foot and pinned her down.
Anna was tightly pressed under him. She felt Colin's breath on her neck, and his hands firmly around her waist. He did nothing else, but Anna could clearly feel something hard pressing against her.
Her face was burning, and she didn't dare to move. She gritted her teeth and said, "Colin, you're asking for it. Do you believe I'll chop you up tomorrow?"
Colin ignored her threat, then turned over and held Anna in his arms, pressing against her from behind.
Anna couldn't sleep, feeling a hot rod against her back and Colin's very warm body holding her. She was really unable to sleep, feeling desperate inside.
But Colin indeed did nothing else, just quietly held her.
Anna said, "If you dare take advantage of me while I'm asleep, I'll assassinate you tomorrow."
She threatened fiercely, and Colin chuckled softly, then held her even tighter.
Anna thought she wouldn't be able to sleep, but eventually, sleepiness took over, and she closed her eyes.
Colin listened to her steady breathing and suddenly opened his eyes, clear and sober, with no trace of drunkenness.
He held Anna without moving. As she gradually fell asleep, he slowly slid his hand under her shirt, moving upwards. When he was about to reach her chest, he suddenly withdrew his hand, cursing himself as shameless.
When Anna called him a rogue earlier, he didn't feel it. Now he truly felt like a shameless rogue. He promised just to sleep, and he shouldn't do anything else.
But when he saw Anna under the dim light, he really wanted to press her down and bully her.
He was never one to restrain his desires, never resisted women climbing into his bed. But Anna was the first he wanted to approach actively, and she was also the first to disregard him, preferring poverty over agreeing to him.
Colin held Anna from behind, feeling her fragrance in his arms, making it hard for him to sleep. He felt extremely uncomfortable but didn't want to let her go. He felt like he was about to explode but just held her tightly.
He could have taken her to relieve himself, but the thought of Anna crying and fighting with him the next day made him choose to endure the discomfort. He suddenly couldn't bear to see her cry.
Colin knew his marriage was already arranged, but he was never one to follow rules. Wanting a mistress was too easy for him, just a matter of whether he wanted it or not.
He touched her waist through her clothes, feeling its slender softness. He had done this many times before, but no one made him feel this attachment. Anna was the first. She could make him crave without even undressing.
He loved her waist, maybe he was really drunk. He gently turned Anna to face him. She was undoubtedly beautiful, much more so than those one-night stands, and more graceful.
Anna had the true grace of a noble upbringing. Even though her family was bankrupt, her pride never made her worldly.
Colin suddenly had an idea. He wanted Anna to be the rose in his hand, to nurture her, to see what she could become.
Anna was a proud and noble girl. He wanted to see what kind of rose she could become under his care.
Colin thought he was a bit expectant. He wanted the rose to bloom in his hand. The thought of another man holding Anna like this in the future made him feel unacceptable.
But then he remembered Anna's words about not wanting to be the mistress. To him, there was never an engagement, and he would never let Anna be hurt or do anything dirty.
Colin thought his rose should be kept in a greenhouse, like Bella. After all, wasn't Bella also a rose carefully nurtured by Sterling?
His thoughts wandered. He felt he might really be drunk tonight. He pulled Anna back into his arms and closed his eyes.
