Chapter 174 Fight
Micah looked at them as if they were a bunch of bloodsuckers, only there to exploit his value. How could they let him stay in the Hughes Mansion?
Micah then mocked them, "I've long wanted to leave this place. Has any of you ever treated me like family? Don't try to persuade me with your disgusting faces. Clara already told me, you think taking away the Phillips Group's order will cause me trouble, right?"
"At worst, we'll both suffer. The company you get will just be an empty shell, and even if I lose the Phillips Group's order, I can still start my own company and get my own orders. And you can forget about ever working with the Windsor family or the Rivera family."
Micah's defiance made Liam's face even darker. "Micah, don't forget, even if you leave the Hughes Mansion, so what? You'll always be a descendant of the Hughes family. If you don't care about the Hughes family, then don't mention you're a Hughes family descendant when you face any trouble outside."
Micah said, "That's perfect. I never wanted to be a Hughes family descendant. You disgusting sycophants don't deserve to be my family. My only family is my mom."
Hearing Micah mention his mother, Liam suddenly flew into a rage. "Bastard, don't you dare mention that woman. She insulted the family, and it's a mercy I didn't kill her. Even in death, she left you, a bastard son, to oppose me. Why don't you go die with her?"
Hearing this, Micah's eyes turned blood-red, glaring at them like a furious beast ready to pounce and tear them apart.
Elijah stepped forward, blocking Micah and taunting, "What, you want to fight? Go ahead, try it."
Elijah grabbed Micah by the collar, and just then, Colin and his group burst in.
Seeing Elijah grabbing Micah's collar, Colin didn't hesitate and kicked Elijah to the ground, shocking everyone.
Chaos ensued. Micah saw Colin smile, then joined the fight with Elijah and Ollie.
Elijah and Ollie immediately called for the bodyguards outside. Five bodyguards rushed in and surrounded Colin and Micah, attacking them together.
Bella and Anna were terrified. How did this turn into a fight? They exchanged glances and quietly moved away from the battlefield, afraid of getting hurt.
But seeing Colin and Micah at a disadvantage, as they were outnumbered, Anna and Bella quickly picked up nearby vases to help, only to be blocked by Elijah and Ollie's wives.
"You two women better stay out of this. Our bodyguards aren't easy to deal with," Ollie's wife sneered at Bella.
Anna saw Colin take a hit to the back from a bodyguard while protecting Micah. Her heart tightened, and she shouted, "Do you know who you're hitting? That's the heir to the Rivera family. You'll pay for this!"
Elijah's wife glanced at Colin and Micah, entangled with the bodyguards, and mocked, "What a joke. Everyone knows Colin is a playboy. We've heard of his romantic escapades, but never that he can fight. Stop trying to scare us."
Bella and Anna were frantic. Micah and Colin were overwhelmed by the bodyguards.
Seeing one of the bodyguards pull out a knife and charge at Colin, Anna, driven by some unknown courage, pushed the two women in front of her aside and ran towards Colin, hugging his back.
Colin, pushed forward by the momentum, looked down and saw her hand at his waist. In a flash, he heard Bella's scream, "Anna!"
Colin turned and was shocked. He grabbed Anna and moved slightly to the side, the knife grazing his arm and leaving a thin cut. Then he kicked the attacker to the ground.
Anna was so scared she felt her soul leave her body, not knowing how she had rushed to shield Colin. Her face was pale.
Colin was naturally shocked too, but there was no time to think. He held Anna with one arm, grabbed the attacking bodyguard's stick with the other, and kicked him away.
Micah retreated to Colin's back, and they stood back-to-back in a defensive stance.
The Hughes family's bodyguards surrounded them but paused their attack.
Despite his injuries, Micah couldn't help but tease Anna, "Anna, not bad. A damsel saving a hero. Aren't you going to win Colin over?"
Anna, pale, didn't hear what Micah said. Colin looked down at Anna in his arms, a smile tugging at his lips.
She had such little courage, yet she dared to shield him from a knife. His heart softened at the thought.
"Micah, if you agree to our demands, I'll let you go today. If you still don't know what's good for you, don't blame me for not showing mercy," Ollie said arrogantly, standing aside.
Micah, enduring the pain, chuckled and asked Colin, "How about it? Can you still fight?"
Colin wiped the blood from his mouth, his eyes cold, holding Anna tighter. "It's been a while since I had a good workout. Perfect timing."
Seeing they wouldn't listen, Ollie's face darkened. "Since you don't know what's good for you, I'll teach you a lesson today."
Ollie waved his hand at the bodyguards. "Get them!"
As the bodyguards moved in again, the door was suddenly kicked open, and another group of bodyguards rushed in.
These new bodyguards were strong, wearing sunglasses, and quickly separated them, subduing the Hughes family members.
The members of the Hughes family were startled by the sudden influx of bodyguards.
"Who do you think you are, trying to teach Micah a lesson?"
The familiar voice and undeniable authority made Bella sigh in relief, and Micah and Colin relaxed.
Sterling walked in and went straight to Bella, checking her over to make sure she wasn't hurt.
Then he looked at Colin and Micah. "You two got beaten up like this? How embarrassing."
Micah genuinely smiled. "Boss, you're late."
Bella and the others could tell Micah was sincere in calling him boss.
Seeing the situation under control, Bella quickly pulled Anna over, who was still in shock.
Colin glanced at her several times. He'd comfort her later.
Looking at the Hughes family, besides the bodyguards, Elijah and Ollie were also subdued by Sterling's bodyguards.
Liam was already scared stiff, slumped on the ground. Being older, he was at a disadvantage in a fight. So when the fight broke out, he had already fallen to the ground in fear.
If he hadn't taken his medication beforehand, he might have been sent to the hospital by now.
