Chapter 259 Anna VS Lisa

At this moment, Sterling felt a deep sense of guilt towards Bella. The time they had missed together filled his heart with regret.

He wanted to cherish the peace they had now and make up for the past, but he couldn't shake the uncertainty about the future, as if they might be separated at any moment.

"Sterling, no matter how much you stare at Bella, flowers aren't going to bloom on her face. You've been together for so long, how do you never get tired of looking at her?"

Anna teased Sterling while munching on some skewers.

Sterling was pulled back to reality by Anna's words. He looked away and shook his head with a smile, though a sense of loss lingered in his heart.

He didn't respond to Anna's teasing, instead pondering whether bringing Bella to the cabin was the right choice. He quietly immersed himself in his thoughts.

Bella had been lost in her own world and hadn't noticed Sterling's gaze.

When she snapped back to reality and saw Sterling and Anna talking, a slight blush crept onto her cheeks.

She gently patted Anna's shoulder and said with a smile, "Anna, can't you keep your mouth shut even while eating? Pass me a couple of those skewers."

Seeing Anna's skewers running low, Lisa quickly grabbed a bunch of freshly grilled ones from Colin, her face showing a smug smile. "Mr. Rivera, your skewers are delicious. I never realized before."

Anna's hand froze mid-air as she reached for the skewers. She glared at Lisa, then angrily pulled her hand back and grabbed a beer, downing it in one go.

She tossed the empty can into the trash bag with a loud clatter, breaking the surrounding silence.

Everyone fell quiet, their eyes turning to Anna.

Bella and Micah looked confused, not understanding what had happened.

Sterling, Colin, and Lisa, however, knew it was a small spat between Anna and Lisa.

Lisa said sarcastically, "Anna, are you mad? Why are you mad? Don't get mad all of a sudden and ruin everyone's mood."

Anna let out a cold laugh, her eyes full of disdain. "You don't know why I'm upset? You eat everything that's grilled. Are you that greedy?"

Micah couldn't help but laugh at this point, while Lisa's face turned red with anger. She pointed at Anna and said, "You're the one who's been eating non-stop!"

The small argument made the previously harmonious atmosphere a bit awkward.

Everyone quietly ate their food, not saying much. The conflict between Anna and Lisa seemed to deepen.

Anna spread her hands, a mocking smile on her lips. "My hands are empty, but I wonder who's holding a bunch of skewers. You so-called little starlets, always talking about dieting but eating more than pigs. The fat on your bodies probably isn't from dieting but from being scraped off with a scalpel."

Anna's words were sharp, directly targeting Lisa's status as a minor celebrity and implying she had plastic surgery.

Lisa's face turned ashen. She wanted to retort, but Anna's words were too cutting, leaving her speechless.

Unable to out-argue Anna, Lisa turned to Colin, pouting. She struck a pose, shaking her chest and swaying her hips, her eyes full of expectation. "Mr. Rivera, look at her!"

However, Colin seemed oblivious to her actions, focusing on grilling.

In the flickering firelight, a faint, playful smile appeared on his lips. "Looking at me won't help. But you have been eating quite a lot."

Colin's words made Anna feel victorious. She smiled triumphantly and rolled her eyes at Lisa, her gaze full of pride and provocation.

When Anna and Bella went to the nearby restroom, Lisa quickly followed. She wore a defiant and challenging smile. "I'm coming too. I'm scared to go alone. Let's go together!"

Lisa's words were a clear challenge to Anna.

However, Anna just gave her a cold look and said nothing, walking to the restroom with Bella.

Seeing this, Lisa had no choice but to follow, silently vowing to find a chance to teach Anna a lesson.

Anna glanced at Lisa with disdain, knowing she had bad intentions but not bothering to engage.

They continued walking until they were away from the group. Finally, Lisa couldn't hold back and stopped.

"Anna, do you like Colin?" Lisa asked provocatively, her eyes full of smugness and anticipation.

Anna stopped and turned around, mimicking Lisa's earlier pose, her tone mocking. "Who I like is none of your business. Why do you care? Stay out of my way!"

Anna's words were full of sarcasm and challenge, making Lisa's face turn pale with anger.

However, Lisa didn't get angry. Instead, she smiled eerily. "Are you upset? If Colin really liked you, he wouldn't be hanging out with me. I might just be his way to pass the time, but you're not even that."

"I looked into you. The Powell family went bankrupt long ago. You're poorer than me, so why mock me for being a minor celebrity? Where do you get the nerve?"

Lisa's words were like a sharp knife, deeply wounding Anna.

But Anna didn't show any weakness, just stared coldly at Lisa, her eyes full of determination and anger.

At this point, Bella couldn't stand it anymore. She stepped forward, standing in front of Anna.

"Lisa, we're only letting you hang out with us because of Colin. If you keep causing trouble, I doubt Colin would choose you over us. You know you're just a tool, so why brag about it? Isn't it shameful?"

"No one looks down on you for being a minor celebrity. Minor celebrities can become big stars. It's your own behavior that's the problem. Relying on men won't build a career. Without any real talent, all you can do is use your body to attract men."

Bella's words were like a heavy blow, hitting Lisa hard. Her face turned pale, her eyes filled with anger and frustration.

But in the end, she could only turn and leave in a huff, her figure looking lonely as she walked away.
