Chapter 361 Boyfriend is Here

Anna's eyes lit up with an idea. She smiled warmly at Colin, "Hey, do you know how to make desserts? Bella's swamped right now, and the kitchen's short-staffed. How about..."

Before she could finish, Colin interrupted her with a resigned smile, rubbing his temples and pretending to be utterly exhausted.

"Seriously, Anna? I just got off the plane, haven't even put my luggage down, and you want me to start making desserts? That's just mean!"

Despite his initial refusal, Anna's persistent charm eventually won him over. Though he looked tired and a bit helpless, he couldn't resist her enthusiasm.

After a refreshing sip of perfectly balanced lemon juice, he sighed, shook his head, and reluctantly put on a clean chef's coat, heading into the kitchen with a reluctant glance back.

Bella watched Colin's reluctant demeanor, her lips curling into a slight smile before she quickly composed herself.

She asked formally, "Colin, do you have a health certificate and a pastry chef qualification? Our kitchen isn't open to just anyone."

Colin rolled his eyes but answered patiently, "At White Bay Restaurant, I'm often in the kitchen. They have a dessert section too. Do you think I'm qualified? Honestly, I shouldn't have come here; I should be napping at the hotel. Instead, I'm roped into working. What a tough life!"

Bella smiled, patted his shoulder, and handed him a mask. "Alright, stop complaining. Since you're here, do your best. I believe in your skills and that you'll bring us something special. Good luck!"

Colin nodded, took a deep breath, and began his kitchen journey.

By lunchtime, the busy morning at the dessert shop finally allowed for a brief respite, and Colin was freed from the kitchen.

To compensate for his hard work, Anna bounced over to him, giving him a big, warm hug, as if to chase away all his fatigue.

After the hug, she playfully sniffed his neck, "You smell so sweet."

Her voice was softer than the desserts, "You smell like a walking candy factory."

Colin's lips curled into a playful smile, raising an eyebrow, "Want a taste?"

His eyes sparkled with teasing affection, making Anna's cheeks blush. She playfully punched his chest, her voice tinged with shyness and flirtation, "You're shameless! Always teasing me. So, where are we having lunch? How about your restaurant?"

He laughed and nodded, taking her hand and her bag as they headed out.

Watching Anna and Colin walk away, Isadora couldn't help but comment, "Anna's boyfriend is really handsome. Not only does he look great, but he seems to come from a good background and can do everything. It's enviable. My guy is nothing like that; he's always busy with work and never helps at home."

Bella, standing nearby, felt a pang in her heart. She couldn't help but compare Colin to Sterling, the man she often thought about.

Sterling, always distant and cold, had never cooked for her or done anything sweet. His world was full of rules and discipline, making him hard to approach.

Thinking of this, Bella shook her head, a complex smile on her lips.

Serafina's lively voice broke everyone's thoughts, "What are we having for lunch? How about we order together? Just tell me what you don't eat, so I can avoid it."

Bella had a sudden idea. She smiled at everyone, "How about I order lunch? Let's have a feast today."

She was tired of the same old takeout every day. With Colin here, she decided to order from his restaurant.

This way, the food would come quickly, and she could treat her staff. Though she was frugal with herself, she was always generous with others.

With this thought, Bella took out her phone, ready to call Colin's restaurant.

As she dialed, she said, "I have the number here. Let's order from Colin's place. His food is delicious; everyone will love it."

Everyone agreed enthusiastically.

In the restaurant's soft lighting, Anna unconsciously became more ladylike. Her every move was elegant, even her eating was slow and refined, a change she didn't even notice.

Thinking back to past meals with Colin, she was always casual and carefree, never worrying about being ladylike.

But now, as his girlfriend, her mindset had changed. She wanted to leave a good impression, showing him her gentle, ladylike side.

However, Colin didn't seem to appreciate it. He frowned slightly, teasing, "You don't need to pretend. Eat heartily. This isn't like you. It's not like I haven't seen your wild side."

His words were affectionate and resigned, reminding her to be herself.

Anna couldn't help but laugh. She knew she could never hide her true self from him. No matter how hard she tried to act ladylike, he could always see through her.

She glared at him playfully, pretending to be angry, "You have no emotional intelligence! Don't I deserve to act shy sometimes? I'm a girl, after all."

Her voice was playful, making Colin's heart flutter.

But he shrugged, smiling affectionately, "No need at all. Just relax around me. I like you just the way you are. Where do you want to go after lunch? I'll go with you."
