Chapter 292 Take Good Care of Her for Me

Colin's face got even more serious after hearing Sterling out.

"Was it Caleb who reached out to you? What's he after?" Colin asked.

Sterling shook his head, looking exhausted. "He didn't say what he wanted."

Colin immediately pulled out his phone and started making calls, setting up a search for Anna. He had a pretty good idea of what Caleb was up to. Caleb wanted Anna, and he might even try to take her out of Harborvale.

No way. Colin wasn't about to let Caleb take Anna.

After making all the necessary arrangements, Colin sat down next to Sterling. He took a deep breath and said, "Sterling, Bella's here too. She's in my car right now. She doesn't want to see you yet. You knew this was coming, so take it slow and don't push it. But what's Caleb really after? Does he just want Anna, or is he gunning for you? If he were really after you, he would've taken Bella. What happened last night? Bella told me Anna disappeared while she was out buying wine. It's been a whole night, and I'm starting to get worried."

Sterling's movements were stiff as he looked out the window, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I don't know the details. If you need people, you can use mine. I'll do my best to help."

It was the first time Colin had seen Sterling so distraught. It seemed only Bella could make him this anxious.

Colin sighed helplessly. "I get it. I'll handle this. You need to calm down and think about how to solve the problem."

After leaving The Windsor Villa, Bella got out of the car and approached Colin. "What happened to Anna? What did Caleb do to her?"

Colin shook his head. "We don't know yet. Caleb warned us not to call the cops and to let him know Anna is with him. He said he wouldn't hurt her, but we can't be sure he won't do something drastic. I've used all my resources to find her. Don't worry too much. As long as Caleb has any feelings for Anna, he won't harm her. We just have to wait for more information."

Bella trembled slightly, almost losing her balance. Colin quickly reached out to steady her, his voice filled with concern and helplessness. "Don't do this. Anna's been kidnapped, and you ran away from home. You two are really..."

Colin wanted to say they were both a handful, but he thought better of it.

"What are you going to do now? You can't stay at Anna's place anymore, and it's best not to let her mom know about this."

Colin's words were full of worry. He knew Bella must be feeling overwhelmed, but now wasn't the time for drama. If Anna's mom found out, things could get even more complicated and uncontrollable.

Bella felt lost. She suddenly realized she had really left the Windsor family and didn't know where to go.

After a moment of hesitation, Bella said softly, "I... I don't know what to do. Can you take me to a hotel? I need to get my stuff from Anna's place and stay at a hotel for a while."

Colin pursed his lips, thinking for a moment before suggesting, "Why don't you stay at my place? It's not safe to stay in a hotel alone. It might not be ideal, but it's the best option right now."

Bella thought about it and nodded. She didn't want to trouble Colin, but staying at a hotel could be risky, and she didn't want Anna to worry about her.

Meanwhile, inside The Windsor Villa, Sterling stood by the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, watching Bella get into Colin's car and drive away. He didn't look away for a long time, feeling helpless. The one person he couldn't be near was Bella.

After a while, Sterling finally took out his phone and sent Colin a message: "Take care of her for me."

In a luxurious villa nestled in the mountains of Creekside Road, Anna woke from a nightmare. She sat on the edge of the bed, curled up and silent.

The view outside the window was beautiful, but she had no mood to appreciate it. She was now wearing a black silk nightgown that contrasted sharply with her tanned skin.

Soon, the door opened quietly. She looked at the person entering, her eyes filled with instinctive disgust. "How long are you going to keep me here?"

Caleb carefully placed a bowl of porridge on the bedside table, his tone gentle. "I just thought... we haven't spent time together like this in a long time. I miss it."

No matter how tender his words were, Anna found them laughable and disgusting. "Miss it? Don't make me sick. Do you even believe the nonsense you're spouting?"

Caleb's face showed no sign of hurt. He had come this far and no longer hoped for her to be kind to him. "I know you hate me. It's fine. Hate is better than nothing. I'll let you go in two weeks, but until then, you have to stay with me."

Anna was deeply hurt by his words, feeling a wave of discomfort wash over her. She couldn't help but angrily question him. "Are you insane? Do you realize you're my enemy? I just want to kill you!"

Caleb seemed unfazed by her anger. He took a tube of ointment from the drawer in the bedside table and handed it to her. "Let me apply this ointment for you. It'll help the bruises on your wrists heal faster. Otherwise, you might have to stay here longer than two weeks."

Anna's wrists were deeply bruised from being tied up, and her face bore signs of being hit. All she wanted was to leave this place as soon as possible. After a moment of hesitation, she agreed to let him help with the ointment, but didn't want any physical contact. "Give me the ointment. I'll do it myself."
