Chapter 388 Revenge

Bella paused for a moment before finishing her sentence, "Well, now I can take it without any guilt. You guys won't get a single cent. If you don't leave, I'll really call her, and then you might regret it."

Bella keenly noticed the subtle changes on Dash and Debra's faces—a mix of guilt, fear, and resentment. Although she wasn't sure what exactly they felt guilty about, her intuition told her something was definitely off.

When money and the house were mentioned, Dash's face turned ashen. His eyes widened, as if he were about to explode with rage.

"How dare you! What right do you have to that property and money? That's the Foster family's! You're an outsider, what gives you the right to take our family's assets? You have no shame!"

Dash's words were filled with anger and resentment, as if Bella's actions were a huge insult to his dignity. However, the angrier he got, the calmer Bella became. She looked at Dash's furious expression and couldn't help but find it amusing.

Bella spoke to Dash and Debra with a tone that was almost mocking, as if they were just clowns on a stage for her entertainment.

"The Foster family's assets?" she sneered. "All I know is that after Mira divorced you, she legally got her share of the property. Once the division was complete, those things belonged to her, and she had the right to do whatever she wanted with them."

"And as her daughter, accepting what she gave me doesn't seem wrong at all. As for why she didn't give anything to you, that's an interesting question, but I think you should ask her directly instead of causing trouble here. After all, I'm not your ATM."

Bella paused slightly, a sharp glint flashing in her eyes. She continued, "Since you're demanding I pay for medical expenses, fine, let's settle yesterday's bill first. Debra ordered desserts and coffee at my shop yesterday and didn't pay."

"Plus, she dirtied my walls and floor, broke a phone, and damaged several things in the store. You need to compensate for those losses. By the way, my staff took photos of all the evidence, so don't even think about denying it."

Bella's words were calm and powerful, each one like a carefully crafted arrow hitting Dash and Debra right where it hurt.

Dash and Debra's faces turned extremely ugly. They exchanged a glance filled with fear and unease.

Fuming, Dash dragged Debra out of the dessert shop, leaving a harsh threat behind, "Fine, just you wait!" His voice echoed in the shop, carrying an undeniable menace.

However, after the commotion, the customers in the shop seemed largely unaffected. They continued enjoying their delicious desserts, as if the recent incident was just a minor hiccup in their day.

To apologize, Bella prepared a special dessert for each customer, a gesture that made them feel warm and pleasantly surprised.

Isadora watched Bella's busy figure, feeling a bit worried. "I don't think Debra's dad is someone to mess with. Do you think he'll really cause trouble for us?"

Isadora's tone was tinged with unease, clearly taking Dash's threat seriously.

Hearing this, Bella stopped what she was doing and turned to look at Isadora, her eyes filled with determination and confidence.

"Don't worry, Isadora. I won't let anyone harm you or this shop. Dash may be cunning, but we have our own principles and boundaries. If he dares to cause trouble, I'll make sure he regrets it!"

That night, under the inky sky and sparse streetlights, Anna, Bella, and Isadora were still working on the end-of-month accounts.

The shop was lit by a single dim lamp, casting long shadows on the worn walls, making them look particularly focused and weary.

Time slipped by quietly, and before they knew it, the clock on the wall pointed to past eleven. The night was deep, and the world outside was silent, with only the occasional sound of pages turning echoing in the empty shop.

But in this quiet and tense atmosphere, a sudden commotion shattered the peace.

A gang of bikers, like ghosts in the night, silently approached the shop.

Their arrival was without warning and unnoticed until they started their rampage, throwing everything into chaos.

Before Anna, Bella, and Isadora could react, the shop's door and glass walls were violently attacked.

With a series of loud crashes, the door was kicked open, and the glass walls shattered into countless pieces, scattering like fireworks but filled with terror and unease.

Isadora was the first to react. She screamed in fear, her face turning as pale as a sheet, her body trembling uncontrollably. She hid under the counter, covering her ears with her hands, too scared to peek out.

Anna and Bella, though slightly more composed than Isadora, were still stunned by the sudden turn of events, standing frozen and helpless.

After the bikers finished their destruction, they sped away on their motorcycles like a gust of wind. The whole ordeal lasted only a few minutes but left Anna, Bella, and Isadora deeply shaken and terrified.

They didn't even get a good look at the attackers, as they all wore helmets, revealing only their cold, ruthless eyes.

Staring at the mess and broken glass, the three women felt a mix of helplessness and anger. They knew this night was far from over.

It didn't take much to guess that Dash was likely behind this. His method was clean and efficient, unlike Charlotte's blatant disruption, which had left some clues behind.

This time, the bikers' sudden appearance and swift departure were clearly well-planned, leaving no easy trail to follow.

More importantly, they had no direct evidence to prove Dash was behind it, putting them in a difficult position.

After the initial panic and chaos, Bella forced herself to calm down. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves, then pulled out her phone, her fingers trembling slightly as she dialed Mira's number.

The phone rang for a long time, as if traversing a vast distance, before it was finally answered.

Mira's voice, tinged with sleepiness, came through the receiver, sounding a bit muffled. "Bella? Why are you calling so late? Is something urgent?"
