Chapter 286 Want Her Willingness

Sterling gave a faint smile and didn't say much.

Bella felt a warm sensation in her heart; she knew Sterling was protecting her in his own way, preventing her from feeling awkward in this situation.

The game continued, and the atmosphere gradually became more relaxed. Although Bella still wasn't very good at playing, with Sterling's encouragement and help, she started to get into it.

Meanwhile, Anna and Colin seemed to be easing their tension through the game, engaging in more conversation and interaction.

By the time they left the bar, it was already past one in the morning.

The night was deep, and the neon lights on both sides of the street flickered with a dreamy glow.

Anna was drunk and babbling nonsense; if it weren't for Colin holding her up, she would have been lying on the ground.

In contrast, Bella was still relatively sober, and Sterling and Micah hadn't drunk much either.

Micah had work at the company the next day, so he left first.

Sterling looked at Colin and said firmly, "You take Anna home."

Colin paused, seemingly wanting to say something, but then changed his words, "You good?"

Sterling nodded and led Bella back to the car.

Bella thought Colin was concerned about whether Sterling was drunk and didn't think much of it. However, only Sterling knew that Colin's words had a deeper meaning.

Sitting in the car, Bella suddenly said, "Thanks."

Her voice was full of gratitude; she appreciated how Sterling had been accommodating tonight, allowing her to consider Anna's feelings, and of course, he had also considered her feelings.

Sterling turned to look at her, a meaningful smile playing on his lips. "I don't want your thanks. If you want to thank me, show it with actions."

Bella's face instantly turned red. She glared at Sterling and said teasingly, "You've been drinking, call for a driver."

Sterling just chuckled, "I didn't drink much, it's fine." He started the car and smoothly drove out of the parking lot.

They didn't speak much on the way.

Bella watched the night scenery fly by outside the window, feeling very content. She knew that with Sterling by her side, she would never feel lonely or helpless no matter what happened.

Colin naturally took Anna back to the Whitewater Bay villa. His intentions were clear to everyone.

Unlike the peacefulness with Sterling and Bella, Colin's situation was chaotic. The entire Whitewater Bay villa area was dark, except for Colin's house.

As soon as Anna got home, she started vomiting uncontrollably. Colin patiently held her, afraid she might fall into the toilet.

After vomiting, Anna felt disgusted with herself and insisted on taking a shower.

Colin had to wait outside the bathroom with a bathrobe, knocking on the door whenever it got too quiet to make sure she was okay.

Suddenly, Colin heard the sound of brushing teeth inside. His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly asked, "Don't tell me you're using my toothbrush!"

Anna opened the door a crack, her head poking out with toothpaste foam in her mouth. "Your toothbrush? Isn't this my house?"

Colin sighed helplessly, "It's fine. You can use it. I just changed it, so as long as you don't mind that I've used it, it's okay."

After brushing her teeth, Anna wiped her mouth and staggered to Colin's bed, boldly stretching out her legs.

Colin quickly covered her with the bathrobe, saying hurriedly, "I didn't see anything. I'll crash on the couch outside. Holler if you need anything. I'm beat."

But Anna turned her head and looked at him with a mischievous smile, patting the empty space beside her, "Come sleep with me."

Colin looked at Anna's slightly provocative eyes, feeling a mix of emotions. He knew tonight would be anything but peaceful.

Colin rubbed his temples, trying to stay calm, "We'll talk about this when you're sober tomorrow. What you say now doesn't count. Just settle down for a bit."

He closed the door and went to the living room, his eyes falling on the couch, but he had no desire to lie down.

After a while, Colin felt something heavy on him, making it hard to breathe.

Colin struggled to push off the "weight," only to hear Anna's voice in the dark, "I'm cold."

Colin was shocked, turned on the light, and saw Anna had at least put on the bathrobe.

He sighed in relief, "There's a blanket on the bed. I only have this thin one. Stop messing around; I have a meeting in the morning."

Anna mumbled, wrapped herself in his blanket, and lay down where Colin had been, "There's no blanket on the bed. Stop lying."

Seeing Anna settle down, Colin turned off the light and decided to sleep in the bedroom.

He didn't like sleeping on the couch anyway, so this was a welcome change.

However, as soon as he entered the room, he noticed that the blanket had been kicked to the floor by Anna. He picked it up and lay down to sleep.

Before he could get comfortable, Anna came in again, "I told you the blanket was here."

Colin couldn't take it anymore and pulled her onto the bed, "If you keep messing around, I won't be polite!"

Anna didn't seem scared by his warning, instead challenging him, "Not polite? Then go ahead and try."

Colin backed off slightly but still held her down, his voice serious, "Will you settle down?"

Anna reached up and ruffled his hair, her tone defiant, "No, I'm upset! I want to mess around!"

Colin's breath hitched, his eyes showing a mix of helplessness and affection. No woman had ever dared to treat him like this.

His gaze darkened as he pinned her hands above her head, his voice low and serious, "You asked for this, don't regret it."

Before Anna could respond, Colin kissed her deeply, not holding back this time.

As their lips and tongues intertwined, Colin decisively untied Anna's bathrobe, revealing her petite body.

But at the last moment, he regained his composure and asked softly, "Have you ever slept with Caleb?"

Anna shook her head frantically, her voice weak from breathlessness, "No, we didn't get the chance. We broke up before we could."

Colin felt a surge of joy, remembering her saying she was a pure girl. His emotions were complex.

Colin wanted her, but he wouldn't take advantage of her. Anna wasn't sober, and it was mostly the alcohol talking.

He wasn't a saint, but he didn't want to take advantage of Anna. He wanted her to be willing, at least in a clear state of mind.

So Colin suppressed his urges, got up, and went to the living room, deciding to lock her in the bedroom to cool down.

In the dark, the flickering light of his cigarette seemed to reflect his inner turmoil.
