Chapter 162 Party in Progress
Nia's new pad was at Moran Hill Villa, and she decided to throw her housewarming party there.
Bella made sure to invite Anna to come along to Moran Hill Villa. Sterling and Colin showed up a bit later; by the time they arrived, Bella and Anna were already there.
Bella remembered when she first told Anna about the party at Nia's new place, Anna looked shocked and said, "With Nia's stuck-up attitude, she invited me? It's a miracle she doesn't start a fight with me."
Bella laughed and said, "Nia's actually nice; she just has a sharp tongue sometimes."
Bella had to do a lot of convincing to get Anna to come to Moran Hill Villa. When they got there, Nia did look a bit annoyed to see Anna.
Bella found it both funny and frustrating, "Didn't you ask me to invite Anna? Why are you still pouting?"
Nia, caught off guard, mumbled a bit embarrassedly, "Who invited her? I just said the more, the merrier."
After some more persuading from Bella, Anna decided to let it go and walked into the villa.
Moran Hill Villa was huge and looked like it had been decorated with a lot of care. Nia was hosting a barbecue party on the big platform in the backyard.
As soon as Bella walked in, she was blown away. The massive lawn was decked out with ambient lights and canopy tents, giving off a cozy and romantic vibe.
As they headed to the backyard, the smell of barbecue hit them, and there were all sorts of drinks and food laid out, with flowers, balloons, and cakes all perfectly arranged.
"Pretty nice, huh?" Nia asked proudly.
Bella nodded, "It's gorgeous. Looks like you put a lot of thought into it."
Nia grinned mischievously, linking arms with Bella and casually said, "Sterling helped me set all this up."
Hearing that, Bella's smile faded a bit, and seeing her reaction, Nia burst out laughing, "I was just messing with you. You actually believed it? You're so gullible."
Seeing Nia laughing so hard, Bella couldn't help but give her a playful punch, "You're so annoying, I wasn't even bothered, okay?"
Bella really wasn't bothered, knowing that Sterling treated Nia like a sister. Even if he had helped Nia set up the party, so what?
After some teasing, Bella and Anna pulled out their housewarming gifts for Nia. Nia accepted the gifts and invited them over to the barbecue.
Then Nia grabbed a glass of wine and slowly walked over to Anna, saying, "Here, let's drink this and let bygones be bygones."
Anna glanced at Nia and took the wine, "What bygones? I only said something because you were picking on Bella."
Nia frowned, "I was picking on her? Didn't you see when Bella was picking on me?"
After a few words, Anna and Nia seemed ready to argue again. Bella quickly stepped in to lighten the mood, "Can you two stop it? Do you have some kind of grudge against each other or what?"
Anna and Nia turned away without speaking. Bella smiled, grabbed a glass of champagne, and said, "Alright, listen to me today. Let's drink this and be good friends from now on. Cheers."
Reluctantly, Anna and Nia clinked glasses and took a sip. Bella looked at them seriously and said, "I don't have many friends. Anna is my best friend, like family."
"Nia, even though we haven't known each other for long, because of your long-standing relationship with Sterling, if you're willing, I can also consider you my family, my best friend."
She paused, then continued, "You know, my dad passed away early, and my mom ran off with another man. So besides you guys and Sterling, I have no family. I really hope you two can get along peacefully, okay? For my sake."
Anna and Nia were a bit moved by Bella's heartfelt words. Anna spoke first, "As long as she doesn't mess with you, of course, I can."
Nia also smiled and said, "When have you seen me mess with her? Besides, I only targeted Bella because of Sterling before. Now I have no interest in Sterling, so there's no rivalry between Bella and me. I definitely consider her a good friend."
Seeing that they had cleared the air, Bella felt relieved and said, "Good, from now on, the three of us are best friends. Cheers."
As the three of them were happily chatting, they turned to see Sterling, Micah, and Colin walking towards them.
They strolled leisurely, the lights on the lawn casting a soft glow, each step like a silent symphony.
These three men were undoubtedly the best, and just looking at their handsome figures was enough to make anyone swoon.
Especially Sterling, who had the aura of a king and the grace of a gentleman, making the whole world seem like his backdrop, highlighting his extraordinary charm.
Seeing these three handsome men standing together was quite a sight. Bella felt a sweet sensation in her heart as she saw Sterling walking towards her.
Anna, upon seeing Colin, immediately turned around and pretended to be busy with the barbecue.
Nia knew them all and immediately invited them to sit down when they arrived.
The atmosphere tonight was perfect. The barbecue was being handled by the butler and servants, so they didn't need to do much. Only Anna was busy at the grill, though it was unclear what she was so occupied with.
Sterling noticed Colin lazily leaning on a chair, his eyes fixed on Anna at the grill.
Sterling and Micah exchanged a knowing smile, understanding what Colin was looking at.
Nia and Bella were still chatting about the new home's decor, while Micah teased Colin, "Your eyes are glued. Is Anna really that stunning?"
Colin ignored Micah's teasing and just smiled, "Not bad."
Sterling shook his head without saying anything, then turned to Bella and chatted with her, "Do you like this villa?"
Bella nodded, "I like it. It's different from Whitewater Bay, but I still prefer Whitewater Bay."
Bella then turned to Nia and asked, "Why didn't you choose Whitewater Bay back then?"
Nia said helplessly, "The villas at Whitewater Bay were all gone, and many wealthy people are holding onto them, not selling. I had no choice. But this place isn't far from Whitewater Bay. After all, both are developed by the Windsor Group, so there's not much difference."
