Chapter 87 Fainting from an Argument

Bella felt a bit woozy after smacking Debra. She'd put everything she had into it, and her body was still shaky from the effort.

It was her first time hitting someone, and she went all out. Fresh out of the hospital, if she had more strength, she might've done more than just slap Debra.

"Debra, aren't you scared of karma? You're a murderer!" Bella yelled.

"Bella, face it. Sterling never loved you. He wishes you were dead. What makes you think you can keep him to yourself?" Debra cackled.

As long as Sterling believed her, she was untouchable.

Bella was fuming, her eyes red with rage, and she swung at Debra without a second thought.

But Debra didn't hit back.

Bella missed the sly look in Debra's eyes.

"Debra, you don't know anything. What garbage are you spewing?" Bella finally ran out of steam, leaving just a few red marks on Debra's face.

Seeing Bella back off, Debra laughed like a maniac. "What? Done already? My turn now?"

Bella braced herself, thinking Debra was gonna hit her, but instead, Debra pulled out her phone and called Sterling, putting it on speaker.

"Sterling, help! Bella's trying to kill me. She keeps saying I killed her baby. I'm about to be beaten to death," Debra sobbed, looking all pitiful.

It really seemed like Bella had done a number on her.

Bella watched quietly as Sterling asked Debra where she was.

Debra gave him Bella's company address.

Bella heard Sterling say, "Wait there, I'm coming."

She knew exactly why he was coming.

Bella snorted, her tone icy. "Debra, you're disgusting."

Then, she walked out of the stairwell.

"Bella, even if Sterling knows I killed your baby, do you think he'd punish me for you?" Debra taunted behind her.

Bella knew all too well how ruthless Sterling could be. He knew everything but wanted to see her suffer without being able to get revenge.

When he arrived, Debra was already downstairs at the company. She thought Sterling wouldn't answer her call, but not only did he answer, he showed up.

Debra was thrilled.

"Sterling, look, Bella did this. I was just bringing some food for Micah, but Bella slapped me as soon as she saw me. I've explained it, but Bella just won't believe me!" she whined, clinging to Sterling's arm.

Sterling looked at Debra's swollen face, which didn't seem fake, and his mood darkened. He didn't expect Bella to actually hit Debra.

"I'll handle this. Let me take you home first." He had no choice but to take Debra home and then rushed back, fuming.

Sterling stormed into Micah's company and ran into Micah right away.

"What brings you here?" Micah saw Sterling's angry face and wondered who had ticked him off.

"Get out of my way, it's none of your business." Sterling shoved past him and marched inside.

Micah blocked Sterling, not letting him in, looking troubled. "Unless you explain, I won't let you in. You look like you're about to kill someone. I have to consider my employees' safety."

The employee he referred to was naturally Bella. He didn't want Sterling to trouble her in his anger.

Sterling snorted, "If I don't come, Bella might be the one killing someone. She even learned to fight?"

Micah was also surprised.

Did Bella and Debra fight just now?

Why hadn't he heard about it?

When Bella was called to Micah's office, she wasn't surprised to see Sterling. She turned to leave immediately!

Sterling spoke coldly, "If you walk out, I won't hesitate to lock you up at home, never to come out again."

Bella stopped in her tracks upon hearing his words.

She turned back, staring at Sterling, her eyes brimming with tears.

Seeing her like this, Sterling's heart suddenly felt as if it were being pricked by needles.

"Sterling, what do you want?" Bella shouted.

It was the only way she could protect herself.

Sterling averted his gaze.

"So, you've learned to hit people now? Is this what I taught you?" His tone was cold, but his voice wasn't as loud as before.

Bella sneered. He was here for Debra again. Bella wished she had torn her apart earlier.

"Sterling, you can protect Debra, but that doesn't mean I'll let her go. She killed my baby, and it was your baby too!" Bella couldn't hold back her tears anymore.

Sterling glared at her impatiently. "The case is closed. The culprit has been punished. What are you still fussing about? Today you hit her, tomorrow will you kill her? You are Mrs. Windsor now. Everything you do will be magnified. Don't you know that?"

He added, "Besides, how can you prove that baby was mine?"

Bella felt a pain in her heart so intense she couldn't breathe.

"Sterling, so in your heart, neither I nor the baby matter. Only the Windsor Group and Debra matter, right? You and Debra are the same, both demons, both murderers of my baby. You can't even protect your own child. You're not even human. Bastard, bastard, bastard." She completely broke down. In front of Sterling and Debra, she was too weak, with no way to fight back.

Sterling walked over to try to comfort her, but she kicked and hit him, tears and snot streaming down her face.

Micah came in with coffee and was stunned; how had they ended up in a fight?

"Sterling, you bastard, let me go. Yes, the baby wasn't yours. It was with another man. Are you satisfied now? I want a divorce. I want to leave you. Let me go, let me go," Bella screamed.

Sterling's face turned ashen.

Micah wanted to intervene but didn't know how.

Suddenly, Bella felt a blackout and collapsed.

Sterling caught her immediately, feeling a fear he had never known. His hands trembled as he held her.

Micah didn't even have time to call for an ambulance before Sterling, carrying Bella, rushed out.

When Bella woke up, she found herself in her room. Her last memory was arguing with Sterling.

Thinking of this, she immediately got out of bed. She wanted a divorce, now. She didn't want to stay with this demon Sterling for another second.
