Chapter 404 Couple Video

Colin's smile faded as he looked seriously at Sterling. "Dude, you can't rush this. You gotta get her to let her guard down first, then ease your way in. She's asleep on the couch right now, isn't that a chance?"

Sterling frowned, clearly not wanting to revisit the embarrassing incident from before. "Don't bring that up! Even if we take it slow, we need a solid plan. What should I do next?"

Colin scratched his head, thinking for a moment before replying, "Why don't you just stay at her place? Tell her you just got here and haven't sorted out your living arrangements, and you didn't bring anyone to help. She can't really make you stay at a hotel, can she? This way, you'll be alone with her. You need to find a way to get close to her and show your remorse and sincerity. Good luck, Sterling. I hope you can melt her icy heart soon."

Sterling hung up the video call with Colin, feeling annoyed. All those suggestions about showing remorse and sincerity seemed ridiculous to him.

Sterling thought to himself, remorse? Who should he apologize to? Should he apologize on behalf of his mother? But his mother only had his best interests at heart.

Sterling knew staying at Bella's place wouldn't be easy. Bella was cold towards him and would rather call Owen to take care of him than do it herself. This left him feeling both helpless and frustrated.

Lying on the bed, Sterling pondered how he could get Bella to accept him and let him stay.

Suddenly, he had an idea. He decided to act first and inform Owen and Zoey not to answer Bella's calls, then tell Bella they were on a long vacation.

With his plan set, Sterling immediately called Owen and Zoey, giving them instructions before hanging up, satisfied.

In the bustling yet serene Whitewater Bay neighborhood of Harborvale, the night was deep, but the lights in the elegant villas were still bright, reflecting another side of the city.

Colin sat in his spacious, well-lit living room, his fingers gliding over his phone screen as he dialed Anna's video call.

The call connected quickly, and Anna's slightly shy yet sweet face appeared on the screen.

Anna had just finished her shower, her hair still damp. She was in her room, surrounded by her carefully arranged pink bedding and various cute decorations, with the fresh scent of her body wash lingering in the air.

Anna's pajamas were light and breathable, clinging to her graceful figure. The slightly open neckline revealed a glimpse of her collarbone, adding an unintentional allure.

Anna's eyes held a mix of playfulness and caution. "What do you want? My mom's home," she said with a hint of nervousness and a touch of coquettishness, as if reminding Colin to watch his words and not say anything that might arouse her mother's suspicion.

Seeing this, Colin's lips curled into a gentle smile. He reassured her softly, "Don't worry, I just wanted to see you. Your mom isn't eavesdropping at your door, is she?"

Colin asked, "You haven't told your mom about us yet, have you? I'm serious about you."

"Yeah, I haven't found the right moment," Anna admitted.

Colin's tone carried a hint of teasing and frustration, clearly displeased with Anna's evasiveness. "It's not like it's something shameful. Why do you need the right moment? Do we really need to hide our relationship? I'll give you one day. If you don't tell your mom by tomorrow, I'll come over and tell her myself. Don't say I didn't warn you."

Colin paused, his tone turning playful. "By the way, you haven't seen me since you got back. When are you coming to see me? These long nights are so lonely without you. Can you really bear to leave me all alone?"

Anna laughed at Colin's words, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "Alright, alright, I get it. I'll find a chance to tell her tomorrow, okay? As for meeting up, I'll come see you once I sort out my schedule. But first, tell me how you plan to entertain me."

Colin's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Entertain you? Only the best, of course. Whatever you want to eat or do, just let me know. I'll make sure you're happy. After all, it's been a while since we've seen each other. I need to make a good impression, right?"

Anna pretended to be angry, giving Colin a playful glare. "I know what you're thinking. I just got back, and my mom wants me to spend time with her and find a job. I need to focus on that first. You can entertain yourself for now. And if I find out you've been seeing other women, you'll be in big trouble!"

Colin felt uneasy and quickly explained, "Babe, you're wrong. You're the only one in my heart. How could I see other women? As for work, you could join my company. That way, we can see each other every day, and I can help you out. It's not a problem. Meeting me won't stop you from spending time with your mom. I really want to see you. How about I come pick you up now?"

Anna's lips curved slightly, but she still looked playful. "No way. My mom's home, and it's not that easy to pick me up. Plus, I'm not ready to see you yet. But you can keep an eye out for job opportunities for me. Once I sort things out, we'll meet up."

Before Colin could respond, Anna hung up. She felt conflicted. She missed Colin, especially since they were in the same city but couldn't see each other often. It was tough.

But she also didn't want to see him too frequently. Since dating Colin, she'd read a lot about maintaining a relationship. She learned that with a guy like Colin, she needed to keep some distance, maintain a bit of mystery and freshness. If the excitement wore off too soon, their relationship might suffer.

Anna knew love required effort from both sides. She didn't want her impulsiveness or carelessness to dull their relationship too soon.
