Chapter 384 Angry Bella
Debra stood her ground, panting heavily, her eyes blazing with defiance and resentment, as if the fight had only just begun.
Seeing this, Isadora quickly grabbed the phone on the counter and said calmly but firmly, "Looks like it's time to call the cops."
But Debra wasn't having it. She lunged forward, snatched the phone from Isadora's hand, and smashed it to the ground, shattering it into pieces with a loud, jarring noise. "Who said you could talk?"
Debra roared, her face twisted with rage.
Bella watched from the side, her eyes sharp and focused. She was beyond tired of Debra's tantrums and provocations.
Especially after Debra had conspired with Caleb to kidnap Anna, Bella's anger had never subsided.
Now, she slowly rolled up her sleeves, her eyes revealing an unprecedented determination and strength. She signaled to Serafina to quickly close the store's door, ready to put an end to this trouble once and for all.
"Debra, did you really think I would keep putting up with everything you've done?" Bella's voice was low and powerful, each word resonating with the fury from deep within her. Her gaze was filled with anger and resolve, like a wild horse ready to break free and clear every obstacle in its path.
Serafina, seeing the situation, immediately understood Bella's intent. Bella was going to handle this troublemaker herself.
Serafina hurried to lock the door and swiftly put up the "Closed" sign, ensuring no customers would interrupt the impending showdown. Meanwhile, Isadora stood by, her fists clenched, ready to jump in and help at any moment.
Debra seemed to have completely lost her mind, smashing everything within reach in the store. Glassware, ceramic dishes, even the computer keyboard—all were hurled to the ground with loud crashes.
Her face was a mask of rage and madness, as if she was venting all her dissatisfaction and anger on these innocent objects.
At that moment, Bella finally stepped forward. She grabbed Debra by the hair, pulling her out of her frenzy.
Debra screamed in pain, instinctively reaching to grab Bella's hand, but Bella mercilessly slapped her across the face, the sound sharp and loud. "Had enough?"
Bella's voice was low and commanding, filled with undeniable authority. Her eyes showed intense anger and disappointment, as if she was looking at a complete stranger.
Debra was stunned by the slap, clutching her cheek, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief. "You hit me? How dare you hit me!" she screamed, her voice filled with anger and grievance.
Bella remained unfazed, raising an eyebrow with a hint of sarcasm and authority in her tone. "Why wouldn't I hit you? I'm still your sister, aren't I? With our parents not around, it's my job as the eldest to discipline you. I've put up with you long enough!"
Bella's words carried a deeper meaning, not just addressing Debra's current tantrum but also her past misdeeds, including conspiring to kidnap Anna.
Debra trembled with rage, wanting to retort but finding herself at a loss for words. The air around them seemed to freeze, with only the sound of her heavy breathing and pounding heart echoing in her ears.
After a brief moment of shock, Debra finally snapped back to reality. Her eyes flashed with madness, like a provoked beast, as she lunged at Bella, trying to grab her hair.
However, Bella always kept her hair neatly tied up while working in the store, leaving no opportunity for Debra.
Debra's hands flailed in the air, grasping at nothing, which only fueled her anger.
Just then, Bella, quick and decisive, landed several more slaps on Debra's face, each one crisp and loud, making everyone around flinch.
Debra, dazed by the sudden blows, staggered a few steps before collapsing to the ground. Her cheeks were swollen and red, her eyes filled with shock and humiliation.
Bella stood over her, coldly watching Debra on the floor, her gaze devoid of any pity or sympathy.
Debra sat on the ground, her eyes flickering with fear and resentment. She looked up at Bella, Isadora, and Serafina, realizing she was outnumbered and outmatched. Her arrogance faded, replaced by a hint of cowardice.
"Bella, aren't you afraid I'll tell Mom?" Debra's voice trembled, trying to use their mother as leverage.
"Used to play the victim in front of Sterling, huh? Now your true colors are showing. You're disgusting!"
But Bella just smirked disdainfully. She slowly approached Debra, crouching down to look her in the eye, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Do you think I still fear you? Tell whoever you want. As for my image in front of Sterling, that was my choice back then. Now, I don't need to pretend for anyone."
"Do you think everyone lives behind a fake mask like you? Whether it's Mira or anyone else, do you think I care what they think of me? You're delusional."
Bella's eyes showed a maturity and wisdom beyond her years, as if she had seen through all of Debra's schemes.
"You've provoked me time and again, and I haven't done anything because I didn't think it was worth it. But don't think I'm easy to bully. You brought this on yourself. You started this fight, so even if we go to the police, you won't have the upper hand."
Bella's words were like finely honed blades, striking at Debra's weaknesses. Debra could only sit helplessly on the ground, listening to Bella, her fear and resentment growing stronger.
Debra lay on the floor, seething with hatred, her multicolored hair messily sticking to her face, making her look even more disheveled.
Her exposed leg was scraped and bleeding, adding to her pitiful state. Yet, even in such a situation, she continued to shout defiantly.
"I didn't plan to kidnap Anna! I wanted to kidnap you, Bella! She was just unlucky to be wearing your clothes that day! Otherwise, it would have been you stripped and filmed by those thugs!"
Debra's words were filled with venom and resentment, as if she wanted to unleash all her fury and hatred on Bella.
