Chapter 136 Not Someone He Can Mess With
Bella noticed Anna kept sighing and asked with a frown, "What's up with you? You seem really off today."
Anna suddenly sat up straight and asked, "Bella, can I ask you something? What was it like the first time you had sex?"
Bella almost choked on her coffee, her face turning a bit red. "Why are you asking me this in the middle of the day?"
Anna said, "Just tell me, please."
Bella thought it over and decided it was fine to talk to Anna. She recalled her first time with Sterling and could only think of one word—painful.
Bella told Anna, "Honestly, it hurt a lot. I was in so much pain that I could hardly walk the next day."
Anna frowned and said, "I didn't feel any pain."
She quickly covered her mouth, realizing she had accidentally blurted out the truth.
Bella immediately got excited and asked, "With whom?"
Anna, looking distressed, said, "Bella, don't push me. You know I can't keep secrets, but I really can't say."
Seeing Anna's difficulty, Bella didn't press further and said, "Your first time? You've been with Caleb for so long and even lived together. Why are you asking me this?"
Anna said, "Back then, Caleb and I never really got to that point. He said he wanted to wait until we were married. Now I know he never intended to marry me, but he was a good guy and didn't take my virginity at that time."
This reminded Anna of waking up with Colin that morning. Apart from wearing Colin's clothes, she didn't feel any discomfort.
Could it be that nothing happened between her and Colin? That would be the best outcome.
Bella, worried, said, "Anna, just be careful."
Anna sighed and said, "Fine, I'll tell you. It's about Colin..."
Bella's eyes widened. "Anna, what did you say? Colin? You and him, you guys..."
Bella couldn't stay calm and immediately said, "Don't you know Colin has a fiancée? And..."
Anna quickly interrupted, "It's not what you think. I just took a part-time job. Anyway, it's complicated. There's no way anything could happen between Colin and me, and besides, I'm not interested in him. Nothing happened between us."
After Anna explained what happened the previous day and that morning, Bella finally nodded in relief.
Anna thought it was better to tell Bella now to avoid any awkwardness later.
Bella smiled and said, "That's good. Colin is quite the playboy; he's not someone you can handle."
Anna agreed, "Definitely. Even when my family was well-off, I didn't like playboys, and I still don't."
Bella nodded, "That's good. Colin's family probably has a marriage arranged for him."
Knowing that Anna had no other thoughts about Colin, Bella felt relieved. She didn't want Anna to suffer another heartbreak.
After chatting for a while, they parted ways.
When Anna returned to the office, she found a bank card in her pocket with a sticky note attached: [Don't be too moved, and don't say thank you. The money in this card isn't from Sterling; it's my own salary. I don't need much money at the Windsor Villa, so use it for emergencies.]
There was no signature or sentimental words, but Anna's eyes still welled up. 'Bella, that silly girl, she really touched my heart...'
How could Anna not be moved? But she still thought about finding a chance to return the card. With the part-time job Colin gave her, she could support herself.
When Bella got off work, Sterling came to pick her up as usual. On the way back, Bella couldn't help but ask, "Sterling, what do you think of Colin?"
Sterling glanced at Bella, "Why are you asking about him?"
Bella sighed, "I just want to know. Tell Colin not to mess with Anna. She's not someone he can toy with."
Sterling said, "Don't worry, Colin knows his limits. Besides, his family has already found him a fiancée. He's not that reckless."
Bella, unconvinced, said, "Who can be sure? Guys like Colin, even with a fiancée, probably can't control themselves. But tell him he can mess with anyone, just not Anna."
Sterling could see Colin's interest in Anna, but he figured Colin hadn't realized it himself yet.
Bella's words reminded Sterling that he should warn Colin not to go too far next time when they met.
When they got home, Sterling carried Bella into the bedroom, passing through the living room. This time, they weren't so lucky and were seen by Nia and Zoey. Bella buried her face in Sterling's chest in embarrassment.
Bella hit Sterling lightly, "Put me down. What are you doing? Nia and Zoey saw us!"
Sterling ignored Bella's complaints. As soon as they reached the room, he pressed her against the wall and kissed her deeply.
Bella, struggling to breathe, pushed Sterling away and said, "I'm going to take a shower."
Sterling smiled, "Want to shower together?"
Bella was furious. She was very concerned about her image, and passing through the living room had really embarrassed her. She huffed, "Don't I care about my image? I'm not showering with you."
Bella grabbed some clothes and hurried downstairs, only to be blocked by Nia at the staircase. Bella's face was still a bit red, clearly having been teased.
Nia laughed, "Bella, Sterling isn't that great. That was so quick. I thought he would take his time with you."
Bella blushed even more.
Bella glared at Nia, "What are you talking about? It wasn't like that."
Bella tried to explain but didn't know how. She couldn't exactly tell Nia that Sterling was amazing in bed, could she?
"What are you saying? Alright, I won't say anymore. Look at you blushing. Sterling was too quick; my impression of him just dropped." Nia continued to tease Bella.
Bella's face turned even redder.
"You really have no filter." Zoey smacked Nia on the back, "You're a girl, always talking about their private matters. Aren't you ashamed?"
Nia nonchalantly said, "We're all adults. What's there to be ashamed of? It's normal to discuss these things among friends."
Zoey said, "Alright, enough with the topic. Mrs. Windsor, don't listen to Nia's nonsense. She has no filter and says whatever comes to mind."
Nia stuck out her tongue, "You guys are so conservative. Boring."
Nia walked into her room, hands behind her back, shaking her head.
