Chapter 106
Upon hearing the word "police," Trinity's face turned pale.
"No! Please don't call the police!"
If she ended up at the police station, her life would be ruined.
Gianna sneered. "You should have thought about the consequences when you picked up that knife."
d.
Trinity quickly shook her hea"Please, spare me. It was a moment of impulse, and you're not hurt, right?"
"Do I have to thank you for not hurting me?"
"I know I was wrong, but I was also manipulated. After I was fired, a man on a motorcycle handed me a USB drive. I saw the video on it and knew you went to see Naomi. That's why I impulsively bought the knife. I regret it now. Please spare me. I'm the only daughter in my family. If my parents find out I've been arrested, it would devastate them!"
Gianna's eyes showed no sympathy as she coldly said, "People need to take responsibility for their mistakes. And it's not just about intentionally hurting someone. There's also the matter of you deliberately entering My Fashion to frame the company for plagiarism. The legal department has already handled it in court, and there’s escape for you."
Trinity's face grew even paler at her words. After a few seconds, she suddenly burst into laughter.
"Gianna, you've made my life miserable. I won't let you off!"
Gianna looked at her with indifference. "I'm not the one who made your life miserable. You did it to yourself."
Trinity glared at her with hatred. "Don't let me see you again! You ruined my life, and I'll ruin yours!"
Felix's voice was cold as he spoke, "I won't give you that chance."
Trinity turned to look at Felix and realized he was the CEO of the Clinton Group. 'How did the CEO of the Clinton Group know Gianna?' She was confused.
However, her questions were destined to remain unanswered, as Felix's bodyguards had already taken her away.
Gianna walked up to Felix and was about to thank him when she suddenly noticed the wound on his arm and quickly grabbed his wrist.
"You're injured!"
Felix glanced at it. The wound wasn't deep, but blood was still oozing out.
"It's just a scratch. I'm fine."
"Wait here. There's a pharmacy nearby. I'll go buy some bandages and antiseptic."
Watching Gianna turn and leave in a hurry, Felix wanted to call out to her, but after a moment of hesitation, he silently watched her leave.
Soon, Gianna came running back.
Because of the run, she was breathing a little hard. Her usually fair cheeks now were tinged with pink, making her look extraordinarily beautiful.
"Give me your hand; I'll disinfect it for you first." Felix raised his hand, and the wound had already started to heal.
Gianna first used an alcohol swab to wipe away the blood around the wound, whispering, "It might sting a bit; bear with it."
Felix didn't say anything, his gaze falling on her delicate face. She was so serious as she disinfected him, her nose moving slightly, giving her an inexplicable charm.
"Gianna."
"What's wrong?" She looked up at him, her cool eyes reflecting his figure.
The next second, Felix suddenly reached out and grabbed her waist.
His tall figure pressed down until his lips felt warm against hers.
Gianna reacted and quickly pushed him away.
She slapped him, her face still showing anger.
"Felix, we're already divorced. If you ever behave like this again, I will sue you for sexual harassment!"
Seeing the anger in her eyes, Felix pressed his lips together and lowered his gaze. "I'm sorry, I couldn't control myself when I saw you."
Gianna was speechless.
'Did that mean she should blame herself for making him unable to control himself?' She thought.
"I don't want there to be a next time!"
She bandaged his arm with a piece of gauze and said in a calm tone, "You saved me today, thank you. I'll treat you to a meal another day."
Felix raised an eyebrow and held out his newly bandaged arm. "I'm injured, and you want to get rid of me with just a meal?"
"Then what do you want?"
"My hand has been injured recently, affecting my work. You have to compensate me."
Gianna was silent for a few seconds and nodded. "Okay, how much do you want?"
Felix's face darkened a bit, and his tone was somewhat gritted. "Do you think I'm short of money?"
"Isn't it money for the loss of work?" Seeing Gianna's face, Felix frowned. "I don't want money. Before I recover from my injury, I want you to move to Grand View and take care of me."
Gianna frowned. "I can't agree to this request, but I can hire a caregiver for you."
"Gianna!"
She looked up at him and said in a calm tone, "Mr. Clinton, I don't want to have too much to do with you. I want a fresh start for my own life, so I hope you won't come to disturb me as much as possible in the future."
She really gave up on Felix and really didn't want to be involved with him anymore.
Felix's expression instantly became extremely unpleasant. "Start a new life?"
Gianna nodded. "Yes."
She was just about to tell Felix about her plan to start a new relationship when her phone suddenly rang.
Seeing the flashing words ‘Grandma Natalie’ on the screen, Gianna remembered that she had agreed to have dinner with Natalie at Harmony Garden.
She quickly answered the call, saying in a guilty tone. "Grandma Natalie, I'm sorry. Something came up here, but I'll be right there."
Natalie's voice was gentle. "It's okay, I just wanted to ask where you were. Be safe on the way."
"Okay."
Putting away her phone, Gianna looked at Felix.
"Grandma Natalie asked me to have dinner at Harmony Garden. If you're free, you can come too."
"Okay."
After getting in the car, Felix casually said, "As you work at My Fashion, have you met the founder, Anna?"
Gianna's hand, which was hanging by her side, involuntarily tightened, and she calmly said, "I'm just an ordinary employee. How could I possibly meet the boss of our company? Why are you suddenly asking about her?"
A hint of meaning flashing in Felix's eyes, he said slowly, "I just think she's pretty amazing. It's just a case of an employee copying someone, and they actually found out that the mastermind behind it was LR Design Studio."
Gianna lowered her eyes and said calmly, "Indeed, she's quite amazing."
"As an employee of My Fashion, aren't you curious about what kind of person the CEO of your company is?"
Hearing the probing tone in Felix's voice, Gianna said calmly, "Mr. Clinton, what are you trying to imply?"
"I'm just asking."
"Then I can tell you very clearly that I'm not curious about that. I only need to do my job well. The CEO has nothing to do with me."
Felix's eyes darkened a bit, and he didn't bring up the topic again.
The two of them arrived at Harmony Garden in silence. When they got out of the car, Felix suddenly took her hand.
Just as Gianna was about to let go of his hand, his low voice sounded in her ear.
"Do you want Grandmother Natalie to notice that we're divorced?"
After a few seconds of silence, Gianna said coldly, "We've never held hands before when we came to Harmony Garden. It would be strange if we suddenly did now, wouldn't it?"
