Chapter 385

Constance nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure."

Eliza was quiet for a bit, then slowly said, "Alright, but the doctor who did your hypnosis is abroad. It'll take about a month to get her back."

"Okay, Mom, thanks!"

Eliza gave her a slightly exasperated look and said, "I'm your mom. Why are you thanking me? I was gonna send the quesadillas to you anyway. Since you're back, keep me company for a while. Once the quesadillas are done, you can take them with you."

Constance nodded and hugged Eliza. "I knew you were the best, Mom!"

"Alright, stop being so clingy. You're a grown-up now." Even though her tone was dismissive, Eliza couldn't hide the smile on her lips.

"I'll help you make them."

"No need."

Around eleven at night, Felix and Natalie finally got off the plane.

As they walked out of the airport, Natalie suddenly paused and asked, "Felix, look, aren't those Gianna's heartless parents?"

Felix followed Natalie's gaze and saw Julian and Lauren not far away, getting ready to board a plane. His eyes narrowed, and a flash of coldness passed through them. "Yeah."

Natalie's gaze fell on Lauren, noticing her loose clothing, which seemed a bit odd. But she didn't think much of it. At Lauren's age, it was unlikely she was pregnant.

"Let's go," Natalie said.

After dropping Natalie off at the hospital, Felix immediately called James, "Find out where Julian and Lauren went tonight."

Soon, James's message came back: [Mr. Clinton, I've found out. Their flight is at midnight, and the destination is Thundertop.]

Felix: [Have someone keep an eye on them and see what they're doing in Thundertop.]

If they dared to show up in front of Constance again, he wouldn't let them off!

Three years ago, after the news of Gianna's death spread, Julian and Lauren acted like they didn't know and didn't even attend the funeral.

Later, they outright said they never had this daughter. Such people didn't deserve to be parents.

Late at night, after Julian and Lauren arrived in Thundertop, they immediately took a car to Thundertop Liberty General Hospital.

Yesterday, during a prenatal checkup, the doctor said some of the baby's indicators were not good and suggested a re-examination in Thundertop.

The two were so scared that they booked a flight overnight. It was Julian's sister, Teresa, who pulled some strings to get an examination in the middle of the night with a specialist.

As soon as they arrived at the hospital entrance, Teresa walked up to them. "Julian, Lauren, everything is arranged. You can go straight to the examination."

After Lauren followed the nurse for the checkup, Teresa looked at Julian and asked, "You haven't told Bella about Lauren's pregnancy yet?"

Teresa had moved to Thundertop after marrying when Bella was three, so she didn't have much affection for her niece Bella.

Knowing about Bella's troubles in Dawnridge, Teresa looked down on her even more. So even though she knew Bella had come to Thundertop with Felix, she never took the initiative to contact Bella or let her kids hang out with her.

Julian's expression stiffened, and he said awkwardly, "Lauren said the baby is only three months old. We'll tell Bella when it's about six months."

A hint of mockery flashed in Teresa's eyes. She could easily guess Lauren's thoughts.

Since Julian's illegitimate child had become an idiot, so Lauren's baby might become the heir to the Redstone Group. For Bella, this child's birth would threaten her position as the heir, so Lauren was wary of her.

Teresa didn't want to get mixed up in the Redstone family's drama as long as it didn't mess with her.

She said, "By the way, I heard Jared was frightened to the point of losing his sanity. Aren't you planning to bring him to Thundertop for a checkup?"

Julian's eyes flashed with impatience at the mention of Jared, and he said coldly, "We've already seen a bunch of famous doctors, and they all said he can't recover. Now that Lauren's pregnant, if she finds out I'm secretly treating Jared, she might start a fight."

Teresa pursed her lips and didn't say anything more, instead asking about Kimberly and Henry's recent health.

Julian replied, "Mom and Dad are doing well, but they miss you."

"I've been really busy with work lately. Once I have some free time, I'll bring them over for a visit."

Speaking of work, Julian tentatively said, "Teresa, the Redstone Group has been doing well in Dawnridge these past few years. Since Lauren needs to stay in Thundertop for her pregnancy, I'm thinking of shifting the Redstone Group's focus to Thundertop. What do you think?"

Teresa frowned. "Thundertop's market is pretty saturated. It might be hard for the Redstone Group to break in."

Julian looked at her meaningfully. "But you're here, aren't you? Even though you control the Forbes family's branch, the main branch of the Forbes family still doesn't let you get involved."

He paused, letting his words sink in. "It's because you don't have a strong backing in Thundertop. If the Redstone Group can establish itself here, the Forbes family won't dare to look down on you. Then, extending your influence into the Forbes Group's main company won't be as tough as it is now."

Teresa's eyes flickered. Julian's words hit the mark.

She had married into the Forbes family, one of the top eight families in Thundertop, and appeared to be living a glamorous life. But only she knew the hardships and patience it took over the decades.

If she hadn't forced herself to grow, she and her kids would have been kicked out long ago.

After she helped the Redstone Group develop in Thundertop, it would, in turn, become a strong support for her.

Thinking of this, she said seriously, "Once Lauren is settled, let's find a place to discuss this further."

"Alright."

Constance thought Felix would stay in Dawnridge for a few days, but the next morning, she saw him sitting in the dining room having breakfast.

She was surprised. "When did you get back?"

"At five in the morning. I came back after taking Grandma to the hospital," Felix replied.

"Are you going to work today?" Constance asked. From his suit and tie, it was clear he didn't intend to take a break.

"Yeah, I have an important meeting today."

Constance didn't ask further since she had no interest in Felix's company.

Felix said, "Come have breakfast. I'll take you to work after."

As Constance was about to head to the dining room, the doorbell rang. She walked to the door and saw Bella outside, frowning. After all, seeing a face almost identical to her own wouldn't make anyone happy.

She opened the door and looked back at Felix, saying indifferently, "She's probably here for you."

Felix looked towards the door, and upon seeing who it was, his face turned icy cold. He asked, "What are you doing here?"

Bella felt a pang of anxiety under Felix's cold gaze and bit her lip. "Felix, Delilah is sick and is asking to see you."
