Chapter 62

Gianna remained silent for a few seconds, nodded, and said, "Okay, can I go tomorrow?"
"Sure."

The following day, Gianna drove to the police station.

After not seeing each other for a few days, Aidan had completely lost his previous vitality. He seemed to have aged by over ten years, with gray hair.

In the days that he had been imprisoned, all the friends he had helped not only didn't help him but also eagerly distanced themselves from him.

Aidan finally saw the true thoughts of these people, but it was too late.

Seeing Gianna, there was nothing but resentment in his eyes.

"Gianna, Rhodes is dead, and now I'm going to prison. Are you satisfied?"

Gianna's expression was indifferent, "This is your mistake with Rhodes. I have nothing to be satisfied about."

Aidan gritted his teeth. Despite his unwillingness, he knew he wouldn't have another chance to compete with Gianna.

"I called you here today to ask you what you plan to do with my shares in MY FASHION," Aidan said.

Gianna raised an eyebrow at him. "What do you want to say?"

"My shares, I want to transfer them to my son. Don't worry, he won't join MY FASHION. As long as my share of the profits goes into his account every year, it's fine," Aidan explained.

Gianna smiled. "Aidan, you're thinking too optimistically."

Aidan knew she would disagree. He said coldly, "As long as you agree, I will keep your secret hidden forever. But if you refuse, I can exchange this secret for a lot of money."

Gianna narrowed her eyes. "Are you threatening me?"

Aidan shook his head. "How could I? I am pleading with you."

After a moment of silence, Gianna spoke slowly, "I will transfer five million dollars to your family every year, but you and your family should forget about getting any more shares in MY FASHION."

"Gianna, you've gone too far!"

"Aidan, you no longer have the qualifications to negotiate with me."

"Aren't you afraid that I will reveal your secret?!"

Gianna remained composed and emphasized, "Aidan, this time, you may have to spend many years inside when you go in. Suppose your family knows that you still receive five million dollars in dividends from MY FASHION every year. In that case, they may come to visit you occasionally, and your time inside will be a bit easier. But if you expose my secret, yes, you may get some money, but how do you think your family will treat you once they find out you no longer have value to exploit?"

Aidan's face turned ugly, and he couldn't argue with anything Gianna said.

Because, truthfully, he didn't have any other choices. He had only brought up that matter earlier as a bargaining chip for the negotiation.

He just didn't expect that Gianna had already seen through his intentions!

"Fine, I can transfer my shares to you, but we must find a lawyer to sign the agreement."

"Okay."

Since both parties had reached an agreement, they signed the agreement after the lawyer prepared it.

"Aidan, it's been a pleasure working with you," Gianna said with a smile.

Aidan's face turned grim, and he stared coldly at Gianna. "Gianna, you are so heartless in your actions. One day, you will regret this!"

Gianna chuckled, not taking his words to heart.

"Aidan, if I truly were heartless, I have a way to take back your shares for free. Don't forget, I originally gifted those shares to you."

After saying this, Gianna turned around and left directly.
Just as Gianna walked out of the police station, she saw Garrett's car parked at the entrance.

"How did it go? Is everything taken care of?" he asked.

"Yes, how did you know I was here?" she replied.

"I went to Villa to pick you up. The nanny told me," he answered.

"I've packed my things. I just need to go back and grab my suitcase," Gianna said.

"All right."

She returned to Villa, where the nanny was preparing dinner ingredients. When she saw Gianna, she stopped what she was doing and approached her.

"Miss Redstone, your friend came looking for you earlier. I told him you were at the police station," the nanny said.

Gianna nodded. "Yes, I'll be leaving for a while, probably about a week. Please let Mr. Clinton know when he returns."

The nanny looked puzzled. "Miss Redstone, aren't you and Mr. Clinton married? Why don't you tell him personally?"

Gianna paused for a few seconds before speaking. "He's busy with work. I don't want to disturb him. Besides, I'll be taking an eight-hour flight, and he won't be able to answer his phone after work."

"All right."

Although the nanny still found it strange, she didn't ask further questions. After all, Gianna was the mistress, and prying into her personal matters could result in her being fired.

That evening, Felix returned home and noticed Gianna wasn't there. He couldn't help but furrow his brows and call her on his phone.

Her phone was off after several attempts. He put his phone down, emitting an icy cold aura.

The nanny served the dishes and cautiously approached Felix. "Mr. Clinton, Miss Redstone asked me to let you know that she's going on a trip and won't be back for about a week."

Upon hearing this, Felix's expression became even uglier, and he gritted his teeth. "When did she tell you?"

Gianna! She didn't personally tell him she was leaving. Instead, she had the nanny relay the message. What did she take him for?!

The nanny was startled by Felix's icy look and stammered, "She told me when she came back to get her suitcase in the afternoon. Miss Redstone said you might be on the plane when she returns, so she couldn't call you... That's why she asked me to tell you..."

Felix's face turned livid with anger. Was she afraid of disturbing him? She had never been so considerate before!

After a moment of silence, Felix coldly said, "All right, I got it. You can go now."

"Okay."

After the nanny left, Felix called Sophia.

"Find out where Gianna booked her plane ticket to, and if she's traveling alone or with someone else!"
Soon, Sophia replied to Felix's message.

"Felix, Miss Redstone has booked a ticket to Willow Creek, and she is traveling with Garrett, a member of the Parker family from Dawnridge."

Felix couldn't help but furrow his brow. How did she even know Garrett?!

And Willow Creek is a small town on the border, she has never been there before. Why would she suddenly go to Willow Creek?

Before, Felix believed he could see through Gianna with a glance.

But now, it felt like there was a layer of fabric between them. The more he tried to tear that fabric away, the less he could see her clearly.

"Have someone wait at the airport exit and let me know every move they make after leaving the airport!"

"All right, Felix."

At one in the morning, the plane landed above Willow Creek.

Gianna and Garrett got off the plane and hopped into the car, waiting for them.

She turned on her phone, but there were no missed calls or messages on the screen.

Gianna pursed her lips and placed her phone upside down on her bag, unable to stop herself from furrowing her brow.

What was she expecting?

She shook her head and suppressed the feeling in her heart, calmly looking out of the window at the passing scenery.

It had been three years since she had last returned.

Suddenly, the driver frowned. "Someone is tailing us!"
