Chapter 245
After a while, he finally let her go, looked down, and said, "I came to MY FASHION to help, not to cause trouble."
"You've never been trouble to me."
Felix sighed and said quietly, "I know. Besides MY FASHION, I have other things to handle. I'm not that fragile."
Gianna pressed her lips together, stayed silent for a moment, then nodded, "Alright."
"Okay, I'll leave later. I'll wait for you at home tonight."
"Alright."
After Felix left, Gianna tried to read some documents but was too agitated to focus.
It was agonizing to watch others misunderstand and slander him, and yet be powerless to do anything about it!
The phone on her desk rang.
Seeing it was Foster, Gianna quickly answered, "Master, is there anything you need?"
Foster sounded angry, "Have you forgotten? It's almost been a month, and you're nearly out of the medicine I gave you."
Gianna had been taking the medicine daily, which made the nightly pain bearable. Foster's reminder made her realize she was running low.
"Master, is Natalie almost fully recovered?" she asked.
"You still have time to worry about others? Think about yourself. You'll experience excruciating pain every night for the rest of your life. Even if you regret it later, it'll be too late."
Gianna smiled and tried to sound relaxed, "You got my back, right, Master? Besides, the medicine makes the pain bearable."
There was a brief silence before Foster angrily said, "You paid a high price to save Felix's grandmother. If Felix ever treats you badly, I'll turn the Clinton family upside down!"
Gianna wholeheartedly agreed, "Absolutely."
Foster, "When can I pick up Natalie?"
"No need to come. I'll have Garrett bring her back in the next couple of days, along with the medicine and prescription."
Gianna smiled, "Alright, thank you, Master. I knew you cared about me the most!"
Foster snorted and hung up the phone.
Gianna put down the phone and couldn't help but laugh.
She wasn't that desperate about the Dreamwell Capsules. If it was man-made poison, there had to be an antidote.
Meanwhile, back in Herb Valley...
Foster handed a box to Garrett and said seriously, "This has three months' worth of medicine to ease the pain from the Dreamwell Capsules, along with the prescription. Take it to Dawnridge and give it to Gianna."
Garrett took it carefully and nodded, "Don't worry, Master. I'll personally hand it to Gianna."
"By the way, remind her to take the medicine every day. If she misses even one day, the toxicity will fully erupt, causing unbearable pain."
Garrett nodded earnestly, "Got it. I understand."
That evening, back at the villa, Gianna told Felix that Natalie had been treated and would be back in a few days. However, he didn't seem as happy as she expected.
Gianna frowned, "What's wrong? Don't you want Natalie to come back?"
"Thomas poisoned Natalie before, trying to harm her. If she comes back now, who knows what he might do. I want to wait until Thomas is completely dealt with before bringing Natalie back."
Gianna looked troubled, "But the place where Natalie is being treated can't accommodate her for long."
Felix paused for a few seconds before saying, "Once Natalie returns to Dawnridge, I'll make the arrangements."
Gianna nodded, "Alright."
Soon, Garrett brought Natalie back to Dawnridge.
Felix personally sent people to pick them up and took them directly to a private club in Dawnridge.
Although Felix had heard Natalie's voice before, seeing her in person finally put his mind at ease.
Garrett had other matters to attend to and said, "I have something to do later, so I won't join you for dinner tonight. Gianna, could you come with me for a moment? I have a few words to say."
Gianna looked at Felix, "You stay and talk with Natalie. I'll walk Garrett out."
Felix's eyes darkened, but he simply nodded, "Alright."
The two walked out of the private room. Seeing no one around, Garrett took a box out of his bag and handed it to Gianna.
"Master said this contains medicine and the prescription for three months. He improved it, so it should be more effective."
Gianna took the box, her voice a bit low, "I understand."
Seeing her downcast expression, Garrett thought she was upset about enduring a lifetime of pain and softly comforted her, "Gianna, medical science is advancing rapidly. Maybe one day, there will be a way to completely remove the toxins. Don't lose hope."
Gianna shook her head, her eyes a bit red, "No, I just feel guilty for still making Master worry about me."
Garrett was taken aback, then patted her shoulder, "You know Master cares about you the most among all his students. If you really feel sorry for him, don't let the medical skills he taught you go to waste. Continue his work in the future."
"Yes, I definitely will."
One day, she would pick up the silver needles and continue being a doctor.
"By the way, Master also said to remember to take the medicine every day. If you miss even one day, the previously alleviated toxicity will fully erupt, causing unbearable pain."
As soon as he finished speaking, the door to the private room opened not far away.
Felix walked out. As he saw Gianna and Garrett standing very close while talking, his face darkened.
"Gianna, what are you talking about with Garrett?" Felix couldn't help but ask.
"Nothing, Garrett was just telling me some things to keep in mind for taking care of Natalie."
Felix's eyes deepened, 'Did it really require standing so close to discuss these things?'
However, Gianna didn't even give him a glance and said to Garrett, "Garrett, I remember everything you said. I won't forget the favor of saving Natalie. I'll thank you properly another day."
"Alright."
Garrett glanced at Felix, nodded slightly, and then turned to leave.
It wasn't until his figure disappeared around the corner that Gianna turned and walked towards Felix.
As soon as she got close to him, she sensed his coldness and couldn't help but surprise, "What's wrong? Who made you unhappy?"
"Stay away from Garrett from now on!"
Seeing his serious expression, Gianna knew he was jealous again and couldn't help but laugh, "Garrett and I are just having normal interactions. You're getting upset over this?"
"I don't like you talking to other men."
Gianna looked at him helplessly, "Unless you're the only man in the world, how could I not talk to other men? Alright, let's go back inside."
"Is that box from Garrett? What's inside?"
Gianna instinctively moved the box to her side, which made Felix even more displeased, but he held it in.
"Nothing, Garrett said I'm weak, so he gave me some supplements."
Suspicion flashed in Felix's eyes, but he didn't continue to ask.
The two walked back into the private room, and Gianna carefully asked Natalie about her treatment process. Natalie explained everything and praised Foster's medical skills.
After talking for a while, Felix finally got to the point, "Natalie, I have something to tell you. Please be prepared."
Seeing Felix's serious expression, Natalie also put away her smile, "Alright, go ahead."
"Ximena was in a car accident a few days ago, schemed by Thomas. She is still in a coma."
