Chapter 295

Felix stood there, staring down at Gianna like he had something serious to say.

"We gotta talk," Felix said, his voice low.

Gianna shot back, "Ain't nothing to talk about," and turned to leave.

But Felix wasn't having it. He grabbed her wrist and yanked her into his arms.

"Fine, don't talk. But don't blame me if I kiss you right here in front of everyone," he whispered, his voice smooth but dangerous.

Gianna's teeth clenched in anger. "Felix, you're such a jerk!" she spat.

Felix's eyes darkened. "You made up your mind yet?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

No matter what she called him, he wasn't letting her go.

Gianna bit her lip, cursing him silently. "Fine, I'll go with you," she finally said.

Felix's lips curled into a smug smile as he led her out of the banquet hall.

Faith looked like she wanted to intervene, but Gianna stopped her with a glance.

They ended up in a private room, and Gianna yanked her hand away. "What do you want?" she snapped.

Felix didn't miss a beat. "You're not wearing stuff like that outside anymore," he said, his tone possessive.

Gianna scoffed. "And why should I listen to you? What are we, anyway?"

Felix's voice softened a bit. "I never agreed to break up. I messed up, and I'll give you time to cool off."

Gianna's eyes narrowed. "Felix, I'm done. I don't want to be with you."

Pain flickered in Felix's eyes, but he quickly masked it with determination. "I'm not breaking up with you unless I'm dead."

Gianna rolled her eyes. "Is this fun for you? Pestering me like this?"

Felix's voice was firm. "Gianna, you're the only one for me. I'm not letting you go."

Gianna had enough. She tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her from behind.

"Gianna, what do I have to do for you to forgive me?" he asked, his voice filled with raw emotion.

She paused for a moment, then gently removed his hands. "There's nothing to forgive. I just can't keep trusting you and getting hurt."

With that, she walked out, leaving Felix standing there, his eyes filled with regret.

Back in the banquet hall, Gianna looked around for Faith but didn't see her. She grabbed a glass of orange juice and found a quiet corner to sit.

Meanwhile, Isaac was talking to Raymond. "Raymond, I'm getting old. All I want is to see you married. If I could have a great-grandchild, I'd die happy."

Raymond frowned. "Grandpa, it's your 70th birthday. Don't talk like that."

"Tell me, how many years ago did you promise me you'd get hitched and have kids? And what happened? All these years, not a single woman by your side, not even a female secretary!" Isaac glared at him, clearly ticked off.

Raymond stayed quiet, not saying a word.

Seeing him clam up, Isaac hesitated for a moment before lowering his voice, "Raymond, tell me straight, do you not like women?"

Raymond's face darkened. "Grandpa, my orientation is perfectly normal!"

"Then explain! Why haven't you had a girlfriend all these years?" Isaac demanded, determined to get Raymond to date someone today.

Raymond sighed, "I just haven't met anyone I like."

Isaac wasn't having it. "If you haven't met anyone you like, almost all the single ladies in Dawnridge are here for my birthday party today. See if any of them catch your eye, and I'll help you talk to her tomorrow."

"Grandpa, I want to decide my own love life," Raymond said, feeling a bit cornered.

Isaac's face fell immediately. "Haven't I let you decide all these years? And what happened? Today, you must choose someone, or you can forget about calling me Grandpa!"

Raymond scanned the banquet hall in frustration. When he saw Gianna sitting in the corner, lost in thought, his gaze lingered.

He'd noticed Gianna the moment she walked in. She looked stunning tonight, so beautiful that he didn't dare to look at her for fear of revealing his feelings.

Raymond said, "Grandpa, if I don't have a girlfriend by your next birthday, I'll accept your arrangement to date someone."

Isaac gritted his teeth in anger. "Delaying won't help!"

"I'm not delaying. I mean it," Raymond said, looking at Isaac with sincerity.

Isaac sighed. "Raymond, I don't want to pressure you, but you know I'm getting old and my health isn't great. Who knows when..."

Raymond cut him off, "Grandpa, I just saw your health report. The doctor said you're very healthy and could live another twenty years."

"With you worrying me every day, I'll lose at least ten years of my life!" Isaac shouted.

Raymond replied, "Alright, I have things to do. I need to go greet the guests."

Before Isaac could say anything, Raymond quickly walked away, leaving Isaac fuming.

As soon as he reached Uriah and Mitchell, Mitchell teased, "Isaac's pushing you to find a girlfriend again?"

Raymond frowned. "How'd you know?"

Mitchell smirked. "Isn't that Isaac's usual topic? But you've never had a girlfriend all these years, not even a scandal. I was starting to wonder if you secretly had a crush on one of us."

Raymond shot him a disdainful look. "Don't worry, even if I liked men, I wouldn't like someone as fickle as you."

In the awkward silence that followed, Felix walked over, looking grim.

"Felix, is it true you and Gianna broke up?" Mitchell handed him a drink, looking way too pleased.

Felix shot him a cold look. "None of your business."

"I just think your love life is too rocky," Mitchell said, grinning.

Felix's expression turned icy. "No matter the process, we will end up together!"

Mitchell chuckled. "Don't be so sure."

Felix snapped back, "You talk too much. Did Laura agree to be with you?"
