Chapter 335
As soon as the call connected, Thomas's icy voice cut through, "We got him. What do you wanna do with him?"
Bella had been all set to off Jared, but after what just went down, she had a change of heart.
She smirked and said slowly, "No need to kill him. Just mess him up real bad. I want him to suffer for the rest of his life!"
With Jared out of commission, Daisy would be left high and dry.
Plus, Bella wasn't about to let Daisy pop out another kid!
"Got it," Thomas replied.
As soon as she hung up, Lauren grumbled, "Why not just kill Jared? I can't stand him breathing!"
Bella grinned and said, "Mom, sometimes death is too easy. Living in pain is way worse."
Daisy thought having Jared would secure a place in the Redstone family, but Bella was gonna show her she was dead wrong!
Lauren still looked pissed but didn't say anything else.
That evening, after Bella finished her bath and was slathering on face cream, Thomas showed up.
Bella glanced at him coldly in the mirror and said, "Just a few more minutes."
Thomas plopped down somewhere and said, "If I can't get out of this, you gotta take care of the kid!"
Bella paused and replied, "Don't worry. I said the kid's mine, and I'll take care of him."
Thomas didn't say anything else, but his eyes lingered on her belly for a long time.
The next morning, news of Bella's disappearance spread like wildfire in Dawnridge.
The Redstone family went nuts, searching for her everywhere and even getting the cops involved.
When James heard the news, he immediately told Felix, "Mr. Clinton, you think Bella's disappearance is tied to whoever took Miss Redstone?"
Felix's face was stone-cold. "I don't know, but it's probably the same person."
Just then, the phone on the table rang.
Seeing it was Thomas, a cold glint flashed in Felix's eyes.
As soon as the call connected, Thomas's smug voice came through, "Felix, bet you're dying to know where Gianna is, huh?"
"Did you take her?" Felix asked.
"Yep, and I got Bella too. If you wanna save them, I'll send you an address. Come alone. If you bring the cops or your goons, I'll make sure they both disappear for good!"
With that, Thomas hung up.
Soon, he sent a video. In it, Gianna and Bella were both hanging, looking like hell.
Felix's eyes narrowed, and he gripped the phone tighter.
After getting the address from Thomas, Felix got up to leave, but James stopped him. "Mr. Clinton, you can't go alone!"
Given Thomas's grudge against Felix, going solo was a death wish.
Felix's voice was ice-cold as he said, "Move aside!"
Thomas was a lunatic. If they waited any longer, who knew what he'd do to Gianna.
"Mr. Clinton."
Felix's voice dropped even colder, "Don't make me say it again."
Facing his icy stare, James held out for a few minutes but eventually stepped aside.
James reminded him, "I'll have people follow you. If things go south, they'll jump in to help."
Felix didn't waste any time and bolted out of the Clinton Group.
Half an hour later, he pulled up at an intersection and dialed Thomas. "What do you want?"
Thomas's sneer came through the line, "Felix, you got here quick, but those tails you got are a pain. If they don't scram in ten minutes, I'll off either Gianna or Bella. Your call."
Felix shot back, "Don't forget Bella's carrying your kid."
Thomas laughed, "So what? I'm already on the run. You think I care about a kid? Family ties mean squat to me."
Thomas's mocking tone only made Felix's eyes colder.
Felix suddenly said, "If Jesse and Maria saw you now, they'd be crushed."
There was a pause on the other end.
After a few seconds, Thomas's icy voice returned, "Felix, don't you dare bring up my parents. You're not worthy. Nine minutes left. Get your people out, or one of them dies. Your choice."
Felix hung up and called James. "Pull back the tails."
James protested, "But if they pull back, we can't guarantee your safety, Mr. Clinton. I'll have them follow from a distance."
Felix's voice was like ice, "Pull back! Don't make me say it again!"
"Alright, I got it."
Soon, James's people withdrew, and Felix got another call from Thomas.
Thomas said, "Felix, didn't think you'd be so quick. Now, you got two paths. Pick one, and the person on the other path dies. Left is Gianna, right is your old flame Bella, who saved your mom and grandma and is carrying a kid. Your choice."
A cold glint flashed in Felix's eyes. After a few seconds, he chose the left path.
On the other side, seeing Felix choose the left path, Gianna's eyes filled with despair, and a bitter smile crept onto her lips.
Gianna thought, 'Guess I was too confident, thinking Felix would pick me over Bella. How could I forget he once loved Bella? He always said he didn't love her anymore, but when it came down to it, he chose her without a second thought.' Gianna's heart felt like it was being ripped apart.
The door suddenly swung open, and Thomas strutted in, looking smug.
Seeing Gianna's pale face, he laughed. "Gianna, I almost feel bad for you. You saw the footage, right? Felix didn't even blink and chose Bella. Tough luck falling for such a cold-hearted guy!"
Gianna glared at him, her eyes icy.
"Thomas, what do you want?" she demanded.
Thomas raised an eyebrow and looked at her with pity. "I just want you to know Felix doesn't love you. You'll never top Bella."
"You're a madman," she spat.
Thomas grinned, "Damn right I am! Why else would I snatch you and Bella and make Felix choose? I thought he'd pick you, but turns out you mean nothing to him. I'm thinking about letting you go."
"Thomas, you better kill me, or I'll make you pay!"
Thomas grabbed her chin and sneered, "You're a tough one. You think I'll give you that chance?"
