Chapter 184: Refusing to Terminate the Contract Early

"I didn't agree to the breakup," Felix said.

Gianna bit her lip, "I told you, it doesn't matter if you agree or not."

"I'm sorry."

Gianna stopped struggling and looked at Felix, surprised by his apology.

"I was wrong to ban Jonah. Please don't be mad," Felix said.

Gianna's heart softened a bit as she looked into Felix's eyes.

Felix waited for her response, but then Gianna's phone rang. It was Faith. Gianna's expression turned serious after the call.

"I need to go back to the company," she said.

Felix nodded, "I'll drive you."

At MY FASHION, Gianna got out of the car.

Felix said, "I'll pick you up after work."

Gianna paused, then replied softly, "Okay."

Once Gianna disappeared into MY FASHION, Felix told the driver to head back to the Clinton Group.

Faith met Gianna with a grim look, "We've investigated as you instructed. No one the customer met seems suspicious. The customer's family won't let us test the clothing and won't settle privately. They seem determined to sue."

Gianna frowned, "The clothes we tested didn't have any substances that could cause an allergic reaction. They might not win."

Faith nodded, "It's strange. They don't seem to want compensation, just to make a big deal out of this."

"Alright, I'll think about it."

In her office, Gianna decided to visit the hospital.

At the hospital, she found the customer's eighteen-year-old sister.

"What are you doing here? Haven't you done enough harm? We can barely afford the bills. If my brother dies, it's your fault!" the girl said.

Gianna calmly approached. "If you let us test the clothes, MY FASHION will cover the medical expenses."

Summer Parker glared at Gianna, "You just want to destroy the evidence. My mom said if we don't give you the clothes and make a big deal, my brother will get compensation."

Gianna stayed calm, "None of the recalled clothes had substances that could cause the reaction."

"Your tests say whatever you want. I don't believe you."

Gianna paused, "All the clothes were from the same batch. It's unlikely one would have such a big issue. What your brother needs most is medical expenses."

Gianna was sure the allergic reaction wasn't MY FASHION's fault.

The dye was likely added after purchase. Whether the client was a victim or involved, she wasn't sure.

Summer bit her lip, thinking. She knew Gianna was right but didn't want to hand over the clothes.

Gianna handed her a business card.

"If you change your mind, call me anytime," Gianna said, then left.

On her way back to the company, Gianna got a call from Faith.

"Gianna, where are you? Several brand managers want to terminate their contracts," Faith reported.

Gianna tightened her grip on the phone, "I'll be there in half an hour."

"Got it."

When Gianna entered the meeting room, the brand representatives were already impatient. One sneered as she walked in.

"Gianna, you're hard to get a meeting with."

Ignoring the sarcasm, Gianna took her seat. Otis handed out documents to the managers, "There are six months left on the contracts. If you want to terminate early, you'll have to pay three times the penalty."

The man who had spoken earlier slammed the table, "Gianna, don't push us. You know why we want out. MY FASHION has damaged our brand image. We're being generous by not asking for compensation!"

The speaker was Nathan Grayson, project manager for the top domestic brand M at Dawnridge Mall.

Gianna smiled coldly, "Mr. Grayson, I don't know the reason. Enlighten me."

Nathan glared, "Gianna, pretending ignorance is pointless. I don't want this to go south."

Gianna stayed calm, "As I said, you can terminate early, but you have to pay the penalty."

"You!"

Nathan gritted his teeth, "Gianna, everyone knows MY FASHION's dye caused a customer to have an allergic reaction and go into shock. They're in the ICU. MY FASHION has damaged our brand image. We have the right to terminate without compensation. It's in the contract!"

Gianna spoke slowly, "Mr. Grayson, this matter isn't concluded. Isn't it premature to draw such conclusions?"

Nathan's expression turned livid, "The family has filed a lawsuit. The evidence that MY FASHION used toxic dye is irrefutable. Gianna, I advise you to agree to terminate now. Otherwise, when MY FASHION loses, M will do more than just terminate the contract!"

Nathan's words were full of threats and disdain.

Gianna smiled, "Then let's wait for the court's verdict before discussing termination."

Nathan, not expecting Gianna to be so firm, stormed out in anger, "Gianna, remember your words. I believe you will regret."

Knowing that it was impossible to terminate the contract today, the other managers followed.

The visitor's room was silent again. Faith looked at Gianna with concern, "Gianna, we've offended these managers. If MY FASHION loses, they'll demand compensation, and the losses will be greater."

In other words, it was probably better to agree to terminate now to avoid more trouble later.

"They're already attacking us. Don't worry. Just keep following up with Ronald Parker's parents."

Faith nodded, "Alright."

After resolving this, Gianna returned to her office.

Rejected by Gianna, Nathan grew angrier and decided to retaliate.

Soon, news broke online about MY FASHION refusing to terminate contracts with brand partners, sparking widespread discussion.
