Chapter 129
"Gianna, you're here for beef too!"
Gianna initially didn't want to engage. But since he greeted them with smile, she replied calmly, "Yes."
"Why don't you join us for a meal. It'll be more lively with more people," Uriah suggested.
Before Gianna could respond, Faith coldly chuckled, "Sorry, seeing you. I'm afraid I might have indigestion with Gianna. Let's sit over there, Gianna."
A hint of disappointment crossed Uriah's face, with a tinge of loss in his eyes.
Mitchell glanced at him and couldn't help but find amusement, whispering, "Back when she liked you, you didn't cherish it. Now that Faith doesn't like you, you're pursuing her. Aren't you just asking for trouble?"
"And aren't you? I heard the star you've been pursuing lately hasn't even given you a good look!" Mitchell retorted.
Raising an eyebrow, Mitchell continued, "You don't understand. The process of pursuing her, for me, is a kind of happiness."
Uriah was disgusted by his words, and goosebumps rose all over him. He looked at him with disdain and said, "Even if she accepts you, your family won't accept her. Have you forgotten about the incident with that former star who faked a pregnancy to marry you?"
Mitchell furrowed his brow and then raised it, saying, "Why think so far ahead? Besides, I believe she's not that kind of person."
Despite his feelings for Laura, Mitchell had been through enough with the previous celebrity incident. Even if it meant sleeping with other women, he wouldn't give them any opportunity to plot against him. Relationships were one thing, but causing harm to others was another.
Uriah was about to speak when Mitchell suddenly said, "I'll call Felix and ask him to come over."
"Didn't he just reject you earlier?"
"That was because Gianna didn't show up. Now he must will come."
Sure enough, upon hearing that Gianna was also at the restaurant, Felix immediately inquired about the restaurant's location.
On the other side, Faith and Gianna's beef had arrived; and they were enjoying their meal and chatting.
"Faith, is Uriah still bothering you?"
Faith rolled her eyes and coldly replied, "Of course he is. Like a fly buzzing around my ear all day. If it weren't for the collaboration between MY FASHION and Uriah's family, I would have cut off contact with him long ago."
From Faith's impatient expression, Gianna could tell that she really disliked Uriah now.
"If you really don't want to deal with him, you can gradually reduce the collaboration between MY FASHION and Uriah's family and focus on partnerships with other companies."
Faith nodded, "Okay. Let's not dwell on troublesome matters. To celebrate resolving the issue with the fall collection, let's have some wine. It's been a while since I've had a drink!"
Gianna was initially going to refuse, but seeing Faith's mood, she ultimately didn't say anything.
"Alright. Let's drink until we are thoroughly drunk."
When Felix arrived at the restaurant, he saw Faith and Gianna looking drunk at the table and couldn't help but furrow his brow.
"What's going on?"
Mitchell spread his hands helplessly. "They ordered drinks while talking; and after just a few sips, they got drunk."
Felix's eyes darkened slightly as he approached, picked up Gianna, and looked at Uriah and Mitchell, saying, "You guys take Faith back."
After that, Felix carried Gianna away.
As soon as they got into the car, Gianna started fidgeting in his arms, saying, "Let me go. It's too hot."
Seeing Gianna trying to unbutton his shirt, Felix's eyes darkened; and he grabbed her wrist tightly, coldly saying to the driver, "Put the partition down and go back to Grand View!"
After lowering the partition, Felix released Gianna and frowned, "Be quiet. We'll be home soon!"
Gianna looked at him with confusion. "Home? Elm Bay?"
Felix's expression darkened, and he said coldly, "Grand View!"
A hint of doubt flashed in Gianna's eyes; and she furrowed her brow. "No, my home is in Elm Bay. I want to go back to Elm Bay!"
"That's Jonah's home, not yours!"
If Felix hadn't confirmed that Jonah had been filming and hadn't returned to Villa recently, he wouldn't have let Gianna stay there.
"No, it's my home! I don't want to go back to Grand View. That cold place is not my home!"
As she spoke, a look of grievance appeared on Gianna's face, and her eyes began to redden.
Felix had never seen Gianna look so vulnerable before and coaxed her softly, "Why do you say Grand View isn't your home? You've lived there for three years."
"So what if it's been three years? Even if it's been thirty years, it still wouldn't be my home. Besides, Felix and I are already divorced."
Felix gritted his teeth and said coldly, "Divorced? You're dreaming! I will never divorce you in my lifetime!"
After the sound fell, Gianna slapped Felix in the face.
"Where did this big mosquito come from? It's so annoying. Stay away from me!"
After speaking, Gianna shrank to the other side of the car door, squinting at him and said, "I have to say, this big mosquito looks okay; but the face is a bit annoying."
"Gianna!"
'Gianna actually said i looked annoying?' He thought.
Felix's face turned dark, exuding a cold aura all over.
Gianna, on the other hand, was shocked. "What's going on?! Has the big mosquito mutated? How can it speak? It even knows my name! Don't come over. I know Taekwondo!"
Watching Gianna waving her hands continuously, Felix regretted impulsively bringing her back, wishing he had just let Mitchell send her back.
As Gianna kept waving, her head hit the glass window hard, making a muffled sound.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch!"
Seeing Gianna's face all wrinkled up, Felix pulled her into his arms, reaching out to rub her forehead.
At first, Gianna wanted to struggle, but eventually found herself unable to, so she just lay flat.
Gianna felt like she had a dream where a mutated mosquito kept biting her, no matter how she tried to escape, she couldn't get out of the big mosquito's grasp.
Finally, the face of that big mosquito turned into Felix's, and he coldly smirked at her, saying, "I'm going to make you give birth to a bunch of little mosquitoes for me!"
Gianna woke up in a fright.
Gianna sat up abruptly, realizing she was in the Villa at Grand View. She felt dazed, then gradually regained consciousness.
Gianna's last memory was drinking with Faith in the restaurant; but after just two drinks, both of them passed out. She had no recollection of how she ended up here.
As Gianna was lost in thought, she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom. She furrowed her brow, about to lift the blanket off the bed when she suddenly realized she wasn't wearing anything!
On the floor were Gianna's clothes and a man's suit, even her panties and a man's black briefs.
Shock and disbelief flashed in Gianna's eyes. 'Did I have a sexual encounter with a stranger after getting drunk?' She thought.
Just as Gianna was struggling to digest this fact, the bathroom door suddenly opened.
Gianna quickly turned over, facing away from the person coming out from inside, and calmly said, "You can leave now. I need to rest. We can arrange another time."
Felix, who was drying his hair, abruptly stopped, his icy gaze involuntarily turning toward Gianna's back.
"Gianna, say that again!"
