Chapter 382

Constance stayed quiet for a bit before finally looking at Felix and asking, "So, what you said earlier, about if I don't fall back in love with you in three months, we'll get an automatic divorce and you won't bother me, is that for real?"

Felix's eyes showed a touch of sadness as he nodded. "Yeah, it's true."

Constance said, "Alright then, I'm heading back."

"Since you're here, why not grab lunch together?" Felix suggested.

Constance pressed her lips together. "No need. I already ate before coming." She turned and left.

Just as she reached the door, Felix's deep voice came from behind. "I'll pick you up tonight."

She paused for a moment and agreed, "Okay."

It wasn't until Constance's figure disappeared from sight that Felix looked away.

Constance returned to Luminary Ventures Group and had just stepped into the design department when she ran into Jennifer.

Jennifer sneered, "Some people really treat the company like their own home, coming and going as they please. I've worked at Luminary Ventures Group for so many years and never dared to skip a morning of work. Today, I've really seen it all."

Constance stopped in her tracks, her expression icy as she looked at Jennifer. "Jennifer, speak properly. Otherwise, you sound like you're being strangled. It's awful."

"Say that again?" Jennifer glared at her, eyes filled with anger.

Constance's expression remained indifferent. "I can say it as many times as you want."

Jennifer retorted, "Didn't you skip work this morning? Did I say anything wrong? If you don't plan to work properly, then leave early and make room for someone who needs the job. After all, the Drake family can afford to support you, can't they?"

Constance's smile was cold. "With such compassion, how come I never see your name on the charity donation list each year?"

Jennifer was momentarily speechless, glaring at Constance. "Just you wait!"

Constance's expression turned steely. "It seems you've forgotten the previous lesson. If you dare to do anything again, it won't be so easy next time."

Jennifer's face stiffened, and her hand holding the document trembled uncontrollably. It wasn't until long after Constance left that she managed to suppress her fear, but her hatred for Constance grew. She wouldn't let Constance off!

Back in the office, Holly immediately came in with a document. "Constance, this is the content of this morning's meeting. I've recorded it. Take a look."

Constance took the document and nodded. "Got it. Thanks."

She put the document aside and, seeing that Holly hadn't left, looked up at her. "Is there something else?"

Holly hesitated for a few seconds before speaking, "Constance, I heard there's a fashion show next month. Grant wants each designer to create a series of outfits, and the best one will be selected for the company."

Seeing the anticipation in her eyes, Constance raised an eyebrow. "You want to participate too?"

"Yes. Although I know the chances of being selected are slim, I still want to try."

Constance was silent for a few seconds before handing her a document. "Go ahead and prepare. Submit the design sketches to me within a week, but don't let this affect the design work for Luminary Ventures Group's main clothing line for the next quarter."

Holly's eyes lit up with excitement as she hugged the document to her chest. "I promise it won't affect my work!"

"Alright, you can go."

"Okay." Holly smiled and walked out, thinking that Constance wasn't as stingy with opportunities as Jennifer had made her out to be. Compared to Clara, she felt pretty lucky.

Three in the afternoon.

In a fancy café in Thundertop, Jasmine and Bella sat across from each other.

Seeing Bella's face, which was almost a carbon copy of Constance's, Jasmine couldn't help but feel a wave of disdain.

'Even after making herself look like Constance, Bella still can't get into Felix's bed,' Jasmine thought with a sneer. 'Now that Constance is back, Felix will pay even less attention to her.'

Jasmine leaned forward, her voice dripping with curiosity. "Bella, what's the deal with Gianna? I had someone look into it, and it seems she's now the daughter of the Drake family. Has she been adopted by them?"

If Gianna really became the adopted daughter of the Drake family, Jasmine would have to think twice before making a move against her.

A shadow crossed Bella's eyes, and her fingers gripping the coffee cup turned white. She replied, "Yeah, Gianna somehow managed to become part of the Drake family, even changing her last name."

Jasmine's heart sank, and her face turned extremely grim. Suddenly, she grabbed Bella's hand and sighed, "You've stayed by Felix's side for three years, but he never let you into the Clinton family. Now that Gianna is back, do you have even less of a chance?"

Bella's face turned pale, and she withdrew her hand, lowering her eyes. "I won't let her take everything that belongs to me so easily."

Jasmine looked at her with a hint of sympathy. "But what do you have to compete with Gianna? Felix's heart isn't with you at all."

Bella's lips curled into a cold smile. "I will be the one who stays by his side in the end!"

"Have you already thought of a way? Do you need my help?"

Seeing the eagerness in Jasmine's eyes, Bella smiled meaningfully. "No, I can handle it myself. Did you ask to meet me today just to inquire about Constance?"

Ever since Jasmine had gotten involved with someone from the Courtenay family, her career had skyrocketed, and she had been crowned Best Actress. She hadn't contacted Bella in the past three years.

Bella wasn't stupid; Jasmine's sudden approach must be to use her against Constance.

Jasmine smiled warmly. "Bella, even though we haven't been in touch much these past few years, you'll always be my best friend. I want you to be happy."

Bella's eyes narrowed, cutting through the pretense. "Jasmine, spare me the pleasantries. If you want to use me against Constance, just say it directly. No need to beat around the bush."

Jasmine's face stiffened, and she looked at her with a hurt expression. "Bella, is that what you think of me?"

Bella stood up, her voice cold and firm. "I don't care what kind of person you are. If you want to use me against Constance, you've got the wrong person."

With that, Bella stood up and left.

Jasmine was about to chase after her when her phone on the table rang.

"Jasmine, Mr. Courtenay wants to see you."

An hour later.

Jasmine had just opened the door to the presidential suite when she was slapped so hard she almost fell to the ground.

She quickly steadied herself against the wall, looking up in disbelief at Wentworth in front of her. "Wentworth, why did you hit me?"

Wentworth, dressed in a royal blue suit, took a few steps back, his cold expression unchanging. His narrow eyes filled with icy disdain. "How dare you ask why? I know everything that happened on set today. You dare to use my name to throw your weight around. I think you've had enough!"
