Chapter 81
Gianna pushed open the door of the ward and saw Uriah standing by Faith's bedside. A look of surprise flashed in her eyes.
Seeing her, Uriah's expression became somewhat unnatural and he stiffly called her ‘"sister-in-law’".
Faith gave Uriah a cold look and said, "Can you leave now?"
Uriah pursed his lips and whispered, "I'll come to see you this afternoon."
"No need, I don't want to see you."
Uriah's footsteps paused for a moment before he quickly left the ward.
Gianna placed the breakfast on the table and asked, "How did Uriah know about your hospitalization? Do you still have contact with him?"
"I don't know, I get annoyed seeing him now. Don't mention him, he's bad luck!"
After taking a few deep breaths, her emotions finally calmed down.
"By the way, I don't have anything else to do. I'll go through the discharge procedures and go to work later."
Gianna frowned and said with some concern, "It's better for you to rest for a few more days."
"No need, I know my own body."
Seeing her insistence, Gianna did not say anything more and nodded, "Alright, do you need me to accompany you later?"
"No need, you can go to work."
Gianna nodded, "Okay."
In the afternoon, Faith indeed came to work.
Seeing her walking and attending meetings as usual, Gianna finally felt relieved.
Near the end of the work day, Gianna received a call from Felix.
"Uriah wants to invite you to dinner tonight."
Thinking of Faith's attitude towardstoward him in the ward this morning, Gianna remained silent for a while before speaking, "If he wants me to help him win back Faith, tell him not to bother. I won't help him."
She hadn't forgotten how Uriah treated Faith when he was with Jasmine Astor before.
If Faith could truly forgive him and get back together with him, Gianna wouldn't have any objection, but it was impossible for her to help him pursue Faith.
"Okay, I understand."
Hanging up the phone, Uriah looked at Felix with anticipation.
"How did it go? What did my sister-in-law say?"
"She doesn't want to."
Instantly, the anticipation on Uriah's face turned into disappointment.
"Alright."
Recently, Felix was in a very bad mood. The whole CEO’s office was gloomy every day. The Department Manager was scolded every time he reported his work. Everyone just wanted to lie down low and hope that Felix wouldn't see them.
"Recently, the CEO's state mood has been off. Ms. Redstone, why don't you come and take a look?"
