Chapter 9

Several people in the Private Room turned to see Felix's eyes on Gianna. He looks so angry.

With a twinkle in Gianna's eye, she didn't expect to meet Felix here.

After a few moments, she looked back faintly and took a sip of the glass in front of her.

Upon seeing that she ignored him, Felix's face was livid. He walked over to Gianna, grabbed her hand, and dragged her out.

Faith rushed over to Felix and stopped him. "What do you think you're doing, Felix?!"

He snarled, "Go away!"

Faith sneered, "Gianna's my friend. If you want to take her away, you owe me an explanation."

Felix warned for the last time, "For the last time, get out!"

As Felix and Faith were at an impasse, Gianna knew she couldn't match Faith's resolve. She compressed her lips and said, "Sweetie, I'm fine. I'll be back soon."

Faith looked at her and worried about her. "Gianna..."

"Trust me, he won't do anything to me."

As soon as Felix pulled her out of the door, Gianna stumbled and nearly fell, and Faith couldn't help but feel angry again.

'How could the past Gianna have ever fallen for someone like Felix, a man who lacked any trace of gentlemanly charm?' Gianna thought to herself.

At the end of the hallway, Felix finally relinquished his grip on her hand. His tone turned cold and accusatory. "Gianna, do you even realize you're still a married woman? You stayed with Jonah yesterday, and today, you're flirting with male models at the bar. You want everyone to laugh at me, right?!"

Rubbing her sore wrist, Gianna responded coolly, "If you keep not signing the divorce paper, you'll only have yourself to blame for feeling more humiliated."

Felix sneered, "If you keep messing around with other men, I'll make you regret it!"

Gianna smiled and looked at him. "I'm curious to see how you'd make me regret it. Use the Redstone family as a threat? Don't forget, your beloved Bella is part of the Redstones, too. If you do something that hurts the family, it'll break her heart. Could you really stand to see her suffer?"

Felix's face changed, not because Gianna mentioned Bella, but because he realized that if Gianna really wanted to leave, he couldn't force her to stay.

At that moment, Felix felt a pang of panic.

"I've already explained to you that there was nothing between Belle and I!"

With a flash of impatience in her eyes, Gianna coldly said, "Felix, save your explanations. I couldn't care less about what's going on between you two. The only thing I want to know is when are you going to divorce me?"

The indifference in Gianna's face hurt his feelings.

Every time they met, she would bring up divorce. He felt compelled to explain to her, but she remained indifferent.

The more he dwelled on it, the more enraged Felix grew. He seized Gianna by the chin and leaned in for a kiss. She attempted to resist, spouting more unpleasant words.

Gianna didn't expect Felix to do this until he felt a warm touch on his lips. But a second later, she shoved Felix away and slapped him in the face.

The sharp sound of a slap resonated between them, instantly chilling the atmosphere.

Felix looked at Gianna with an unfriendly look, and the way she wiped her mouth in disgust made him angry. "Gianna, don't you dare to wipe it again!"

Gianna gave him a cold glance and deadpanned, "If a dog like me bit you, you'd probably be in the shower right now."

Felix seethed with rage, the anger rushing to his head as he glared at Gianna.

Gianna, who had always spoken softly before, had never sounded so sharp.

Was this the real Gianna? Did she pretend to be soft before?

Gianna looked at the time and couldn't wait to keep talking to Felix. "I have to work tomorrow. If you've got nothing else, I'm leaving."

Without looking at the expression on Felix's face, she turned to leave.

"Stop right there!" Felix walked up to her and stopped her, "When did you get a job?!"

"What’s it to you?"

Felix tried to suppress his anger and clenched his teeth, "Don't forget we are married!"

Gianna looks unimpressed. "Not for much longer."

"Gianna, there is a limit to my patience!"

Seeing Felix's face, Gianna felt a little amused. "You could choose to divorce, then you wouldn't have to endure."

"I told you, I won't agree!"

"Then bear it!"

Felix was speechless.

Just as tension reached its peak between them, a soft voice nearby broke the silence.

"Felix, Miss Redstone, why aren't you going into the private room?"

Gianna turned her head and saw that the person standing nearby was Raymond, and the cold expression on her face eased a little.

Raymond is one of Felix's best friends. When Felix was injured in his leg, he often came to see Felix. He was gentle, and Gianna had a good impression of him.

She smiled and said, "You guys go ahead. I won't bother you."

In front of Raymond, Felix didn't try to stop her again. But as Gianna disappeared from his sight, he turned to Raymond with a cold expression.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to the bathroom and saw you arguing with Miss Redstone. I was afraid you two would fight."

After two seconds of silence, Raymond continued, "Felix, Miss Redstone has been quite good to you. During the two years when your leg was injured, she was the one who took care of you. If you don't like her, at least you should be kind to her."

Felix had a cold look in his eyes and said, "I know what I should do. I’ve got other plans tonight so that I won't go in. Tell Uriah and Belle the bill is on me."

After Felix left, Raymond stood there for a while and smoked a cigarette before returning to the Private Room.

After Felix made such a fuss, Gianna and Faith were no longer in the mood to stay. They paid the bill and left the bar.

As Gianna waited for a taxi, she contemplated starting to drive to work the next day, gazing down at the pavement, lost in thought.

Suddenly, a black Maybach pulled up next to her.

Not paying much attention and thinking it was her cab, she opened the door and got in.

Only when the tip of her nose smelled a familiar woody aroma did she turn her head in surprise.

Upon seeing the man seated next to her, she frowned and turned to push the door and get off.

It was dark, and when she entered, she hadn't noticed someone was already in the back seat.

Felix grabbed her by the wrist and said coldly, "Drive to Grand View!"

The driver started the engine. Gianna looks coldly at Felix. "Can you let go of my hand now, please?"

She was angry at herself for being such a fool. If she hadn’t been lost in thought earlier, she wouldn't have made such a silly mistake.

"Fabian, lock the doors," Felix instructed.

As the doors locked, he finally released Gianna's hand.

Gianna looked at him coldly and tried to be as calm as possible. "Felix, I really have to go to work tomorrow. I don’t have time for you."

Felix frowned and said, "I’ve been drinking. You're going to take care of me tonight."

Gianna's eyes flashed impatiently. "You can call Bella. She'd love to take care of you herself!"

She said the words "take care of" very heavily, and I do not believe Felix could miss her sarcasm.

Felix sneered, "You seem to have forgotten your place. You are my wife, not Bella!”
