Chapter 313

When Felix heard that, his eyes practically shot flames at Gianna.

'She really just said she wants a divorce in front of a dude who likes her? Does she think I'm a ghost or something?' Felix fumed internally.

Jonah's back went stiff, and a wave of bitterness hit him hard.

He turned to Gianna, forcing a smile. "Alright, I'm out. Hit me up if you need anything."

His words were both a promise and a hope.

"Sure," Gianna replied.

After Jonah left, Gianna tried to walk away, but Felix jumped in front of her, blocking her path.

"You're coming back with me!" Felix demanded.

Gianna shot him a cold look. "Felix, haven't you had enough of this?"

Felix's eyes turned icy. "You think I was just causing trouble?"

"What else?" Gianna's eyes were stone cold. "You keep lying to me. How can you stand there like nothing happened? Don't you feel any guilt?"

Felix snapped back, "I do feel guilty, but you never gave me a chance to apologize."

Gianna laughed bitterly. "You don't get it. I don't need an apology; I need to cut you out of my life completely."

"I said, that's not happening!" Felix shouted.

Gianna took a deep breath, trying to keep her anger in check. "Then there's nothing left to say. Don't come looking for me again."

Before she could walk away, Felix scooped her up.

Gianna was stunned for a second, then started hitting him angrily. "Put me down!"

People were watching. By tomorrow, everyone in the building would be talking about this. She could already hear the gossip.

Felix ignored her and shoved her into the car, then got in himself.Gianna turned her head away, not wanting to look at Felix at all.

Seeing her cold attitude, Felix felt a wave of disappointment.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a restaurant.

Seeing that Gianna didn't move, Felix said in a low voice, "Let's eat first. We'll talk after."

Gianna finally turned to him, but her gaze was icy. "You eat. I might throw up just looking at you."

Felix's eyes narrowed, and a wave of pain hit him.

"Gianna, I know you're mad. I know I messed up. I swear, apart from this, I've got nothing else to hide. Please, forgive me one last time, okay?"

They had come so far, and he really didn't want to break up with Gianna just like that.

Gianna lowered her eyes, and after a while, she spoke with red eyes, "Felix, how many chances have I given you? And what did you do? You promised you wouldn't see Bella again, but I saw her with my own eyes! I almost got burned to death. When I asked who saved me, you lied and said it was a firefighter. I believed you, but what happened? Jonah almost died because of this! And for the divorce, I went through hell to heal your leg, and you agreed to the divorce. It took me more than half a year to find out you gave me a fake divorce certificate! Felix, you've lied so many times, making me feel like a fool. If you wanted to lie, why didn't you just keep it hidden forever?"

Facing Gianna's piercing gaze, Felix was at a loss for words, and a wave of pain hit him hard.

Only now did he realize the mess he had made of things with Gianna.

He kept saying he loved her, but everything he did just hurt her more.

"Gianna, I'm sorry!" His eyes were red, his face full of guilt and helplessness, not knowing how to fix things.

Gianna closed her eyes and said slowly, "Let's just let each other go. Those three years of marriage drained all my hopes for love. We should've split long ago, but then you made me fall for you again, only to push me over the edge."

As soon as she finished, Felix pulled her into his arms. "Gianna, I'm sorry. I know I messed up. I never thought about your feelings. I'm a jerk, but I really love you. Please, just one last chance."

By the end, his voice was choked with emotion, but Gianna gently pushed him away.

"I'm tired. I don't want to keep guessing which of your words are true and which are lies. Felix, I can't trust you anymore."

Gianna opened the car door and left, while Felix sat there like a statue for a long time before telling the driver to head back.

At eight that evening, Gianna called Faith. "Come out and drink with me."

Faith showed up quickly and walked into the private room to see several empty bottles in front of Gianna, who was still downing more.

The last time she mentioned divorce to Felix, she had never seen Gianna this down.

Faith walked over and snatched the bottle from her hand. "Gianna, you're already drunk. Let's go back!"

Gianna shook her head, smiling bitterly. "I'm not drunk. I want to get drunk, but the more I drink, the clearer I get. My heart feels like it's been ripped open. It hurts so much."

As she spoke, Gianna pounded her chest, tears streaming down her face.

Faith sighed, patting her back. "What happened between you and Felix? Did you guys have a big fight this time?"

Gianna replied, "When we divorced before, he never went to get the divorce certificate. He's been lying to me for more than half a year. I thought we were equals in our relationship, but now I realize he's been playing me all along. Whether I reconcile with him or not, I can't start a new life."

Hearing this, Faith couldn't help but curse, "He's such a bastard. That's too much! I think he never intended to divorce you from the start!"

Gianna said, "It doesn't matter. This time I must divorce him. He's lied to me too many times. I can't trust him anymore."

Seeing Gianna's sadness, Faith felt terrible too. She picked up a bottle and said, "I'll drink with you! This time we won't let him off easy!"

The two drank until they could barely stand.

With her last bit of consciousness, Faith dialed Dominic's number. "Dominic, can you come pick up me and Gianna?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a gentle female voice came from the other end, "Miss Walton, Mr. Trump has a last-minute event tonight. He drank too much, and I brought him back. I'm afraid he can't come to pick you up now."

Hearing this voice, Faith sobered up real quick!
