Chapter 220
Felix stayed calm. He replied, "I trust her. Natalie will be fine."
Ximena, fuming, snapped, "Trust her? Felix, are you blinded by love? Thomas has taken over the Clinton Group, and Natalie is missing. Maybe Gianna and Thomas are in on it together!"
Felix's face turned icy. and warned, "Mom, I don't want to hear that again."
Seeing his anger, Ximena hesitated, still a bit scared of her son. She exclaimed, "I'm just looking out for you!"
Felix remained indifferent. He replied, "I don't need it."
"You!" Ximena stormed off in a huff.
Connor frowned at Felix, and remarked, "Felix, your grandma's safety is serious. We need to find her and Gianna as soon as possible. If anything happens to her, not just Ximena, I won't spare Gianna either!"
Connor then followed Ximena out.
Within an hour, Thomas found out Connor and Ximena were back in the country. Sipping imported wine, he smirked, and said, "Since everyone's here, it's time to settle the score."
Leon asked, "What about Natalie?"
Thomas replied, "Keep looking. They can't just vanish!"
Leon said, "Got it!"
After Leon left, Bella came out of the bedroom, grabbed some water, and was called by Thomas.
Thomas ordered, "Come here!"
Bella paused, wary, and asked, "What do you want?"
Thomas sneered, "If I wanted to harm your baby, do you think you could stop me?"
Bella hesitated, then slowly approached. As she reached the sofa, Thomas pulled her into his arms.
"Ah!" Bella instinctively protected her belly, scared.
"Relax," Thomas said, touching her belly, "Why is there no movement?"
Bella, shocked, replied, "It's only been a month. It's the size of a soybean. No movement yet."
Thomas raised his eyebrows in surprise, saying, "That small?"
"Yes." Bella removed his hand as she spoke, "If that's all, I'm going to sleep."
Thomas, not angry, held her waist. He said, "When the baby is born, we'll get married."
By then, his revenge would be nearly complete.
Bella frowned, and commented, "Thomas, you're weird today."
Thomas smiled, and replied, "I just think having a kid isn't so bad."
Bella, disbelieving, pushed him away, and said, "I'm going to rest."
Thomas didn't stop her, but she felt his gaze until she closed the bedroom door. Finally, she felt relieved.
In bed, Bella touched her belly, eyes cold.
The next morning, Bella took a new recording to Felix.
Seeing him, she got straight to the point, "Felix, I want to make a deal."
Meanwhile, in Country D, a massive, brightly lit cruise ship floated on the sea. The ship had fifteen floors; the first three were for staff dining and accommodation, and the rest were for various entertainment facilities like bars, gyms, cinemas, restaurants, and water parks. It was one of the world's most luxurious cruise ships.
A banquet was in full swing on the twelfth floor. Waiters moved through the crowd, while guests in luxurious attire clinked glasses, creating a glamorous atmosphere.
Gianna's target was an official named Mike, dressed in a black tailcoat and chatting with other officials in the center of the hall.
The cruise ship was surrounded by yachts, with the entire ship anchored in the center, giving it a star-studded feel.
As night fell, Gianna arrived on a yacht. Two staff members approached. One checked her invitation, and the other searched her for contraband.
After the check, they let her proceed. Gianna smiled and walked in.
She took the elevator to the twelfth floor but headed to the restroom instead of the banquet hall. In the third stall, she retrieved a gun, phone, and miniature earpiece from the toilet tank.
After putting on the earpiece, she heard Scorpio's cold voice. He asked, "Can you hear me?"
Gianna tapped the earpiece. Scorpio continued, "Mike is in the banquet hall. The power will go out in ten minutes for thirty seconds. You need to kill Mike in that time. Six of my men will escort you out."
Gianna flushed the toilet, walked out calmly, washed her hands, and reapplied her lipstick before heading to the banquet hall.
As soon as she entered, Scorpio informed her of Mike's location. Gianna glanced over, picked up a drink, and found a convenient spot for shooting, sipping her drink intermittently.
Raymond and Zachary had just entered the hall and immediately spotted Gianna. Raymond frowned, wondering why she was there.
Just as he was about to approach her, the lights went out, and a gunshot rang out, causing the crowd to scream and scatter. Raymond was bumped several times.
He struggled to move towards where Gianna had been, but the crowd pushed him back.
The lights came back on quickly, but a sharper voice rang out, "Mike is dead!"
Someone ordered, "Seal off the cruise ship immediately!"
They added, "The killer must still be nearby. Chase them!"
After firing the shot, Gianna quickly walked out, threw the earpiece into the sea from a window, took the elevator to the top deck, and hurried towards the deck.
The news of Mike's death hadn't reached the top deck yet, so it was still peaceful.
As soon as Gianna stepped onto the deck, a cold, terrifying voice came from behind her, "Iris, where do you think you're going?"
Gianna turned to see Scorpio pointing a gun at her forehead.
Her expression turned icy, and said, "Scorpio, you promised that once the mission was completed, the past would be written off."
Scorpio sneered, "You killed so many of my brothers. Do you really think it can be written off?"
Gianna asked, "Then what do you want?"
Scorpio declared, "Of course, you have to pay with your life!"
Scorpio loaded the gun. Gianna coldly looked at him, and warned, "Are you sure you want to do something so treacherous? If the people of Full Moon Boulevard find out, they won't let you go."
Scorpio said arrogantly, "As long as you die here today, no one will ever know!"
With that, he pulled the trigger and a loud bang sounded.
