Chapter 250

Thomas's face contorted in anger, then he sneered, "Miss Foster, you'll regret your lies!"

"Thomas, maybe you should listen to this recording first."

Ivy pulled out her phone and played an audio file. The room filled with the sound of her conversation with Thomas, and his face turned pale.

The recording revealed how Thomas had manipulated Ivy's hatred for Felix and Gianna to get her to help him plot against Felix.

Everyone's eyes shifted to Thomas as they Ivy had followed his plan all along.

Thomas glared at Ivy, his eyes cold and fierce.

He sneered, "Ivy, even if you bring a fake recording, no one will believe you. I bet you and Felix planned this to frame me."

Ivy smirked, "Thomas, I had these recordings verified by an authoritative agency. We'll soon know if they're real."

Thomas's face tightened as he realized Ivy had blocked him.

Everyone's disdainful looks made it clear they knew the truth.

The press conference had turned into a farce.

"You'll pay for this!" Thomas spat out the words and stormed off.

Reporters buzzed, and online criticism of Thomas exploded.

[This is outrageous, scheming against Felix while pretending to be family. Disgusting!]

[I somewhat get Thomas, though. His parents were killed by Felix's parents. It's normal for him to want revenge.]

[But what does that have to do with Felix? Why not go after Felix's parents?]

[Now that you mention it, didn't Felix's mom have a car accident recently? Could Thomas be involved?]

[No way, that's scary.]

Seeing the online comments, Gianna smiled at Felix, "People are already suspecting Thomas had something to do with your mom's accident. The truth will come out soon."

"Gianna, thank you!"

Gianna met Felix's serious gaze, her heart racing. She quickly looked away, "It's nothing, just what I should do."

Felix was about to respond when his phone rang.

Seeing it was a director from the Clinton Group, he looked surprised.

"Mr. Clinton, when are you coming back to work?"

"I don't plan to return soon. What's up, Mr. Hughes?"

There was a brief silence, then Mr. Hughes lowered his voice, "Because of Thomas's temper, the Clinton Group has lost major deals. Some shareholders are unhappy. We hope you can come back."

Felix's eyes narrowed, his expression cold.

After stepping down as president, few shareholders had reached out. Now, with Thomas and Ivy's scheme exposed, they wanted him back. They likely wanted to see him and Thomas fight, so they could benefit.

A cold smile spread on his lips, "Given the sexual harassment scandal. I'll return once that's resolved."

Mr. Hughes sounded excited, "Great, we'll be waiting for you!"

After hanging up, Gianna frowned, "This Mr. Hughes probably has ulterior motives."

Felix nodded, "He wants to see me and Thomas fight. I'll kick him out of the Clinton Group first."

Gianna didn't say anything more. She knew Felix was much better at handling business matters than she was.

"I'm going to change my clothes. I have a meeting with Ivy later."

"Alright."

Meanwhile, at the Clinton Group.

After hanging up with Felix, Mr. Hughes quickly gathered some shareholders and headed to Thomas's office.

Thomas had just returned from the disastrous press conference, looking furious.

Seeing the shareholders in his office, he frowned, "What are you doing here?"

Mr. Hughes stood up, "Mr. Clinton, we saw the press conference. We didn't expect you to scheme against your own cousin. Instead of helping the situation, it made our stock price drop even more."

Thomas's expression was cold, "So what?"

Mr. Hughes's tone turned cold, "Since Felix is innocent, he should return to the Clinton Group. Everyone knows he's capable."

The room fell silent.

Thomas stared at Mr. Hughes for a long time, then suddenly smiled, "Are you saying I'm not capable?"

"You're overthinking it. That's not what I meant." Mr. Hughes replied.

"Really? I think you mean it."

Mr. Hughes didn't back down, "If you insist on thinking that way, fine. Felix did nothing wrong and has the right to be on the board."

Thomas sneered, "Fine, let him come back."

Mr. Hughes smiled, "Alright, then. We'll leave you to your work."

After they left, Thomas angrily swept all the documents off his desk.

He called Jason in and said coldly, "Investigate Mr. Hughes. I want his evidence of crime. Understand?"

Jason nodded, "Yes!"

"Get out."

Thomas then called Adam Foster, speaking coldly, "Mr. Foster, you promised Ivy wouldn't show up again. Do you want to explain for today?"

Adam, clearly nervous, quickly said, "Mr. Clinton, I just found out too. I'll have someone find Ivy and bring her to you to apologize."

Thomas laughed angrily, "No need. I don't want to see any Foster family member again!"

"What about our cooperation?"

"There is no cooperation, and there never will be."

Thomas hung up, still fuming. He had planned to ruin Felix at the press conference, but he harmed himself.

He opened his web browser and saw the top trending news was the press conference. With a cold expression, he clicked on it, only to see a flood of comments praising Felix.

[I knew Felix wasn't that kind of person. Those who criticized him are silent now!]

[They definitely don't dare to speak up now!]

[That cousin is a total villain. He instructed Ivy to frame Felix and then pretended to hope Felix would change. Disgusting!]

Thomas threw his phone to the ground in rage.

'Felix! You'll pay for this!'

On the other side, Gianna arrived at her meeting with Ivy, looking indifferent.

"Ivy, our deal is done. I saved you, and you told the truth. Why are you still looking for me?"

"Get me out of Dawnridge!"
