Chapter 294

Suddenly, a rush of feelings hit her like a freight train.

Gianna stared at her phone for a bit, then slowly typed out a message.

Gianna: [You still got some stuff at my place. When you gonna come get it?]

There was a pause before Felix replied.

Felix: [Just toss it.]

And that was it. Gianna didn't bother sending another message, but she felt a wave of irritation bubbling up inside her.

She chucked her phone aside, trying hard not to think about Felix.

The next morning, as soon as Gianna got to the office, Otis walked in holding an invitation.

Otis said, "Miss Redstone, this is an invite from the Musk family. Mr. Musk is throwing his 70th birthday bash at the Grand Regency Restaurant next week and wants you to come."

Gianna nodded, "Alright, get a gift ready for me."

"Okay," Otis said, leaving the invite on her desk before heading out.

Gianna put down the document she was working on and picked up the invitation, staring at it for a while.

Felix was tight with Raymond, so he'd definitely be at Isaac Musk's party.

While Gianna was still mulling over whether to go, Faith called her, "Gianna, come with me to Mr. Musk's party next week!"

Gianna asked, "What about Dominic? Can't he go with you?"

Faith said, "Don't even start. He's off on a business trip tomorrow and who knows when he'll be back. Please come with me, pretty please?"

After some convincing, Gianna reluctantly agreed.

A week flew by, and the day of the party arrived.

Early in the morning, Faith dragged Gianna out of bed to go dress shopping and get styled.

Seeing Faith all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, Gianna yawned and said, "It's just a birthday party. Do we really need to go all out?"

Faith replied, "Duh! I heard Mr. Musk is also looking to find a girlfriend for Raymond at this shindig."

Gianna raised an eyebrow, "You planning to compete with the other debutantes?"

Faith replied, "Not really, but the Musk Group's been blowing up lately and is now the second-biggest family in Dawnridge. So, all the debutantes will be dressed to the nines. We can't be the only ones looking like we just rolled out of bed!"

Gianna couldn't say no to Faith, so she went along with it.

The makeup artist and stylist took a whopping six hours. Gianna even took a nap and they still weren't done.

She asked, tiredly, "How much longer?"

She felt like it was a total waste of time and would rather be snoozing at home.

The makeup artist replied softly, "Almost done."

Gianna didn't ask again and checked her phone. It was 4:13 p.m.

Suddenly, a chirpy female voice came from behind.

Bella said, "Gianna, getting styled here too?"

Gianna looked up and saw Bella standing behind her in the mirror. She frowned slightly and ignored her.

Bella didn't seem to care and walked over, her smile widening, "Gianna, I heard Felix proposed to you recently, and you turned him down. Did you guys break up?"

Gianna couldn't believe how shameless Bella was.

She replied coolly, "You had a hand in our breakup, didn't you?"

Bella covered her mouth and laughed, "I just couldn't stand seeing you get played, so I told you the truth. The choice was still yours, wasn't it?"

As soon as she finished talking, Faith's icy voice cut through the air, "I wondered why it smelled like trash in here. Turns out it was you."

Bella's face tightened, and she shot a cold glare at Faith, "I'm talking to Gianna. It is none of your business!"

Faith sneered, "Come on! We were getting styled just fine, and someone had to butt in."

Gianna stayed quiet. Who exactly was Faith cursing?

Bella gritted her teeth and sneered, "Faith, I don't want to argue with you. Don't push it!"

Faith shot back, "If I weren't afraid you'd use the baby in your belly to blackmail us, I would've slapped you already, you bitch!"

"You!" Bella was fuming, gritting her teeth, "Just you wait!"

After Bella stormed off, Faith plopped down next to Gianna and said irritably, "For people like her, you should just curse them out next time. Otherwise, she'll think you're scared of her!"

Gianna couldn't help but laugh, "I didn't even get a chance to respond before you showed up. Alright, don't let her ruin your mood!"

After finishing Gianna's makeup, the makeup artist said, "Miss Redstone, I'll take you to pick out a dress."

Faith followed her, "Gianna, I'll help you choose."

When they reached the clothing rack, Gianna picked out a light green silk dress with a V-neck and spaghetti straps. It wasn't too plain or too flashy.

However, after looking for a while, Faith handed her a gold strapless mini dress.

Faith said, "Gianna, wear this. It suits you!"

Gianna frowned, "I've never worn such a short dress."

Faith replied, "Then try it this once. It will definitely suit you!"

"Alright." Gianna agreed.

Gianna went to the fitting room to change into the dress. When she came out, both the makeup artist and Faith were stunned.

After a moment, Faith couldn't help but exclaim, "Gianna, you look stunning! Wearing this dress to the party will definitely make you the center of attention!"

Gianna pursed her lips, "I still think the dress is too short."

"It's not short. Besides, there are several layers of sheer fabric over it. You usually dress too conservatively. Trust me, this dress really suits you!"

The dress was short inside but had several layers of gold sheer fabric on the outside. As she walked, her fair and slender legs were faintly visible. She looked alluring and elegant.

The makeup artist also chimed in, "Really, Miss Redstone, this dress suits you perfectly!"

Seeing both of them say so, Gianna reluctantly nodded, "Alright, this one then."

Faith smiled in satisfaction, "Great, let's pick out a pair of high heels and head straight to the party."

An hour later, Gianna and Faith walked into the banquet hall, immediately drawing many eyes.

"Oh my God! Gianna and Faith look stunning today!"

"Especially Gianna. How did I never notice she had such a great figure before!"

"Shut up. Didn't you see Felix's face just now? What man would want his girlfriend to dress so sexy?"

"I heard they broke up. If that's true, I'm going to pursue Gianna."

"Go ahead, as long as you're not afraid of the Clinton Group bankrupting your family!"

Gianna also noticed the gazes around her and turned to Faith, "Faith, are you sure this dress really suits me?"

"Of course. Haven't you noticed everyone's eyes are glued to you?"

As soon as Faith finished speaking, they saw Felix walking towards them with a cold expression.
