Chapter 255

"This is their problem, don't worry about it," Felix said.

Gianna nodded and said, "Alright."

Back at the villa, Gianna was about to suggest a movie when Felix's phone rang.

A panicked voice said, "Mr. Clinton, something happened to William. Can you come now?"

An hour later, they arrived at the psychiatric hospital.

As Felix saw William unconscious and pale, hiss expression turned cold. "What happened?"

The nurse, trembling, said, "Mr. Clinton, your father visited William this afternoon. Later, we found him unconscious when we called him for dinner."

Felix frowned, "What's his condition now?"

"He was injected with a neurotoxin. We saved him, but he might stay in a coma."

Even if William woke up, he couldn't answer Felix's questions, but the nurse didn't dare say that.

"I understand. Do your best to treat him," Felix instructed. As they left William's room, Gianna whispered, "Should we go to the old house?"

Felix's eyes darkened, "Let's go."

At the old house, it was past nine, but Connor was still working in the study.

Seeing Felix and Gianna, he frowned and came out. "Felix, what are you doing here?"

Felix coldly asked, "Did you visit William this afternoon?"

Connor nodded, "Yes, I did. Why?"

"Shortly after you left, something happened to William."

Felix watched Connor closely.

Connor looked shocked, then angry, "Are you accusing me?"

"You're the only one who visited him recently. How do you explain that?"

Connor, furious, said, "He's always been a fool. Isn't it normal for him to fall into a coma? How can you blame me?"

"If you did something, tell me now. I've called the police. If they find evidence, you could go to jail."

Connor, gritting his teeth, said, "I didn't do anything. I'm not afraid."

Felix stared at him for a long moment, then looked away.

Connor was still angry and said, "If there's nothing else, leave! Don't come to me without evidence next time!"

Connor stormed off.

After the living room fell silent, Felix and Gianna left the old house.

On the road, Gianna asked, "Do you think he was lying?"

Felix coldly said, "Probably not. He didn't seem guilty. Someone else likely wants to harm William."

"But you've had people watching William. Besides your father, no one else has visited him. I still think he's suspicious."

Connor was very guarded. He must be hiding something.

Felix, voice even colder, said, "If it's not him, the only suspects are the staff at Tranquil Minds Psychiatric Hospital."

"Should we contact the hospital for details?" Gianna asked.

"No need. Calling might tip them off. They failed this time, so they'll try again. We just need to wait."

"Okay, but be careful. William almost got killed in the psychiatric hospital."

Felix nodded, gripping the steering wheel tighter. "I won't let myself be in danger."

Meanwhile, in the Clinton Group CEO's office...

"Mr. Clinton, our people were caught injecting neurotoxin into William, but they're suspecting Connor, not us."

Thomas sneered, "What was Connor doing visiting William?"

"He just talked to William for a bit and then left."

"Got it. Felix will focus on William for now. We'll find another chance to act."

"Yes!"

The next few days were quiet. Felix returned to the Clinton Group, where Thomas had arranged an office for him. Felix attended every meeting, but Thomas always ignored his opinions when making decisions.

Everyone on the board noticed that Thomas was targeting Felix.

After another meeting, a shareholder visited Felix in his office.

"Felix, I've always supported you. Thomas's behavior is too much. I can't stand it anymore!"

A mocking voice came from the door, "Oh? Mr. Martinez, if you can't stand it, you can abandon your eyes!"

Mr. Martinez turned pale, shocked to see Thomas walking in.

"Thomas, what are you doing here?"

Thomas's smile deepened, "If I didn't come, I wouldn't know Mr. Martinez has such hostility towards me. It seems you see Felix as the real CEO and call me by my first name."

Mr. Martinez's face turned even paler and he forced a smile, "Mr. Clinton, don't misunderstand, I just..."

"Get out!"

Thomas's smile vanished and said coldly.

Mr. Martinez quickly scrambled out.

Thomas raised an eyebrow and sat opposite Felix, "Felix, you've done well as CEO these past few years. But it seems some shareholders are stuck in the past and don't treat me as the CEO."

Felix looked at him, his eyes cold, "Do you have something to say?"

"Of course. Mr. Hughes offended me, and I want to teach him a lesson. It's not good for you to interfere, is it?"

"Whatever issues you have with Mr. Hughes are none of my business, but the Clinton Group's stock is still falling. I won't allow anyone to harm the company's interests."

Thomas's smile deepened, "I didn't expect you to care so much about the Clinton Group. But no matter what you do, the company will never be yours again."

Even if it meant destroying it, he wouldn't let Felix become CEO again.

"Are you done? If so, you can leave." Felix looked at him expressionlessly.

Thomas's smile disappeared and said coldly, "Don't meddle in things that don't relate to you, or you'll regret it."

With that, Thomas turned and left.

In the elevator, Thomas coldly said, "Call Mr. Martinez to my office!"
