Chapter 94
Gianna fell silent for a few seconds, her voice turning somewhat cold. "Just say it over the phone."
"It's nothing special. I heard that Clinton Group is planning to develop an amusement park on a piece of land in the east. Can you help me talk to Felix and get Redstone Group to join the project?"
Julian's deep voice meant that he had faced some setbacks before turning to Gianna.
Gianna curled her lips in a mocking smile, "You should know that Felix doesn't like me, and he won't listen to what I say."
Julian hesitated before speaking again. "After all, you're his wife. If you can talk to him properly, there might be a chance. Just help me this time. If he really disagrees, it won't affect you, right?"
"I'm sorry, but I can't help you. Please find someone else." Gianna hung up, leaving Julian frustrated and his face pale with anger.
Lauren, who was nearby, sneered and taunted, "I told you earlier that she never treated us as her parents. She only came back for the Redstone family's money. Now that she can't get a penny from the Redstone family, she shows her true features!"
Julian frowned, and a sense of disgust towards Gianna started to grow in his heart.
Compared to Bella, Gianna was too immature to benefit the family.
Didn't she realize that her influence on the Redstone family depended on the family's success?
When Bella returned home, seeing Julian and Lauren sit on the sofa with grim expressions, a hint of confusion flashed in her eyes.
"What's wrong, Mom, Dad? Why do you look so upset?" Bella asked.
Lauren snorted and said in a displeased tone, "It's all because of business. Your father wanted to participate in the Clinton Group's development of a piece of land in the east. But he didn't even get to meet him, so he went to visit Felix several times. I just called Gianna, hoping she could help persuade Felix, but she hung up the phone. She doesn't respect your father at all!"
A flicker of doubt crossed Bella's eyes, and she sat down next to Lauren, saying, "Mom, you know that Felix hates Gianna. If you let her go to talk to Felix, he will definitely be angry."
Lauren sneered and said coldly, "That's because she's useless. She wasted three years but didn't make any money. She's just a waste because she didn't help the Redstone family at all!"
Bella smiled and said, "Alright, don't say that about Gianna. Let me have a try."
"You've been busy preparing for the design competition recently, and I don't want you to be distracted." Lauren is concerned about it.
"The company will eventually be handed over to me. Of course, I have to fight for the company's interests now, but I can't guarantee success." Bella replied.
Lauren's eyes were filled with a smile as she tapped Bella's nose and said, "With my daughter's efforts, how can it not succeed?"
"Okay, I'll go up first; if there's any news, I will tell you," Bella said as she stepped upstairs.
"Okay," Lauren replied.
Back in her room, Bella called Felix. It wasn't until the call was about to end that he answered.
"What's wrong?" His voice was indifferent, which made Bella's heart sink.
"Felix, I heard that the Clinton Group is planning to develop the eastern part of the city?" Bella asked.
Felix frowned, "Yes, what about it?"
Bella added, "My father has come to you several times to participate in this project. Can you also involve the Redstone family?"
Before she could finish her sentence, Felix coldly interrupted, "Bella, I'm a businessman."
Bella bit her lip. "I know. Forget what I said if it puts you in a difficult position."
"Anything else?" Felix asked.
"No," Bella replied.
As soon as she finished speaking, the busy tone of the call hung up. Bella's fingers tightened, with a deep gloom in her eyes.
At Clinton Group.
Felix called Sophia Mars into his office.
"Has Julian come to visit me recently?" Felix asked.
Sophia Mars nodded and replied, "Yes, he came for the piece of land in the east. I didn't let him meet you because the Redstone Group is not within our scope of cooperation."
Felix fell silent, his eyes deep, lost in thought.
"Is there any problem with Gianna?" Felix asked.
After a while, Felix spoke, "Go and see what small projects can be handed over to the Redstone Group for that piece of land."
A hint of doubt flashed in Sophia Mars's eyes, but she didn't dare to ask.
"Okay, I'll go right away."
After Sophia Mars left, Felix opened his chat with Gianna, looking at it for a while before putting down his phone without sending anything.
Soon, Sophia Mars compiled a list of projects that could be handed over to the Redstone Group.
"Felix, the swimming pool and landscaping can be done by the Redstone Group."
"Okay, you contact Julian. Also, the next time he comes to see me, let him in directly."
"Alright."
Sophia Mars was left with doubts. She wondered to herself, 'Why did Felix suddenly change his attitude towards Julian? Even during his courtship with Bella, he had never helped the Redstone Group. It must be because of Gianna.'
Thinking of the fake divorce between Felix and Gianna, Sophia Mars became more convinced of her thoughts. Felix must want to pursue Gianna, so he plans to deal with her parents first, which will make it easier for him in the future!
It seems that she should be more respectful to Julian in the future, as he is the father of the CEO's wife.
On the other side, in the Redstone family.
Just as Bella was about to calm down her emotions and prepare to freshen up, there was a knock on the door. She opened the door, and it was Lauren outside.
"Bella, did you just contact Felix?" Lauren asked.
Bella nodded; her face looked a little grim. "Mom, Felix..."
Before she could finish her words, Lauren interrupted excitedly, "I knew you would find Felix, and he would definitely agree!"
Looking at Lauren's excited expression, Bella was taken aback. "What do you mean?"
Lauren said excitedly, "Your father just received a call from Felix's secretary. The Clinton Group has agreed to let the Redstone Group take on several projects in the eastern part of the city!"
Bella's eyes flashed with disbelief. She thought, 'Didn't Felix just coldly reject me on the phone? Why did he turn around and give the projects to the Redstone family?'
"Bella, what are you daydreaming about?" Lauren asked.
Bella snapped back to reality and shook her head, "I'm just too happy."
Lauren looked at Bella with pride, "I knew it. My daughter is the best!"
Although Bella didn't know why Felix suddenly changed his mind, she felt a sense of relief. It seems that Felix still has feelings for her.
"Oh, Bella, your father said that the project given by the Clinton Group this time can make at least twenty million dollars! Do you have anything you want as a reward?"
"Mom, I did this voluntarily. I don't want any rewards." Bella replied.
Lauren nodded with a smile, "Of course I know. I remember you were interested in a dress before, right? I'll take you to buy it tomorrow!"
A glimmer of surprise flashed in Bella's eyes, "Really?"
She had been liking that dress for a long time, but it cost more than eight hundred thousand dollars, and she had only a little over two million dollars in disposable funds. The dress would almost deplete a third of her savings, so she had been reluctant to buy it.
"Of course, would I lie to you?" Lauren said.
Bella hugged Lauren excitedly, "Mom, I love you!"
Lauren smiled and patted her back, "Alright, you're all grown up. Stop being so spoiled! It's late now, go to bed, and we'll go to the mall tomorrow morning."
The next morning, just as Gianna was about to leave for work, Faith called her.
"Gianna, the legal department of Orb Design Studio sent us a lawyer's letter this morning, saying that the designer of MY FASHION copied their work!"
