Chapter 403

Constance's eyes flashed with surprise, then she said coldly, "I don't even know you."

After speaking, Constance hung up the phone.

When Lauren called again, the line was busy.

She tried several times but couldn't get through, realizing that Constance had blocked her.

Julian, standing nearby, sneered, "I told you she's heartless, but you wouldn't believe me."

"Alright, stop talking. I'll find a chance to meet her in a few days when I'm feeling better."

Julian frowned. "Suit yourself. I have work to do at the office, so I'm heading back."

On the other side, at the Golden Bay Villas.

Constance put down her phone, her eyes devoid of any emotion.

To her, Lauren and Julian were just strangers now, and there was no need to waste time on them. But she had underestimated Lauren's shamelessness.

Three days later, during a project meeting, Holly suddenly walked in. "Constance, someone claiming to be your mother is here to see you."

Constance frowned. Eliza wouldn't come to see her suddenly; she would call first.

Suddenly, she remembered the call from three days ago and frowned unconsciously.

She thought her attitude had been clear that day, but she didn't expect the other party to come to her workplace.

It was obvious that Julian had given her work address.

Constance said, "I don't know her. Tell her to leave. If she continues to pester, call the police."

"Okay, Constance." Holly replied.

Constance thought that would be the end of it, but ten minutes later, Holly rushed into the meeting room. "Constance, something's wrong. That person suddenly fainted!"

Constance was annoyed. "Didn't I tell you to call the police if she wouldn't leave?"

Holly looked troubled. "But she's pregnant, and the security guards don't dare to touch her."

"Just call the police." Then Constance said, "Let's continue the meeting."

Jennifer, sitting nearby, smiled. She thought, 'Someone claiming to be Constance's mother has come; this is interesting.'

After the meeting, Jennifer immediately called Clara to her office. "Find out the identity of the person who came to see Constance today."

Clara soon returned. "Jennifer, I've found out. That woman is the wife of the president of the Redstone Group."

Jennifer frowned, her eyes filled with confusion. "What is the Redstone Group? I've never heard of it."

Clara replied, "The Redstone Group only recently started operating in Thundertop, so it's normal you haven't heard of it. But the president's sister is Teresa, the second wife of the Forbes family."

Jennifer thought, 'Teresa has some skills; she has no background but still secures a place in the Forbes family. But how could the Redstone family be connected to Constance?'

Jennifer said, "I see. You can go back to work now."

After sending Clara away, Jennifer immediately called Eric. "Eric, you won't believe what happened today!"

Hearing Jennifer's smug tone, Eric knew it couldn't be anything good. "What?"

Jennifer replied, "Someone claiming to be Constance's mother came to our building today, but Constance didn't see her and had her thrown out."

Eric frowned. "Maybe it was a case of mistaken identity. What's there to talk about?"

Jennifer continued, "But you won't believe who that person claiming to be Constance's mother is."

"Who?"

Jennifer said, "The wife of the president of the Redstone Group, Lauren. Do you remember? Constance looks almost identical to Bella. Lauren is Bella's mother."

Hearing this, Eric's expression changed. "I'll look into this. You just focus on your work and don't go against Constance anymore."

It was a critical time for the presidential election. If Jennifer caused any more trouble, Bethany might take over the Chambers Group.

"Alright, I know. I won't have any conflicts with her for now."

Jennifer was a bit unhappy. She had suffered before, but now she couldn't even get back at Constance and had to swallow her grievances.

Thinking of that disgusting man, she still felt like vomiting.

"Okay, that's it for now." Eric said.

After hanging up, Jennifer suddenly remembered the celebration banquet hosted by the Clinton Group. The person who initially came with Felix and the one who was later held hostage on stage seemed to be different people.

Suddenly, she understood everything.

The person held hostage on stage was Constance. For some reason, she had entered the banquet hall and was later mistaken for Bella.

No wonder Constance had such hostility towards her; it all made sense now.

If the woman who came today was really Constance's mother, it meant Constance had no connection to the Drake family.

In the future, the Drake family's assets would have nothing to do with Constance.

Thinking of this, Jennifer sneered.

She thought maybe she should meet with Bella.

In the afternoon, Constance was reviewing documents when a commotion erupted at the office door.

The next second, the office door was pushed open, and Julian stormed in angrily. "Constance, you're so vicious. You can't even tolerate your own brother. I'm telling you, if anything happens to the child in your mother's womb, I won't let you off!"

Holly looked at Constance with guilt. "Constance, I tried my best, but I couldn't stop him."

Constance glanced at her and said calmly, "You can leave now."

Holly hesitated, worried that Julian might do something to Constance in his agitated state.

Constance said, "I'm fine. Go ahead."

Holly reminded, "If anything happens, call me anytime."

After Holly left, Constance looked at Julian coldly and said, "Mr. Redstone, I have nothing to do with you or your wife. Your wife inexplicably came to our company claiming to be my mother. I didn't call the police for her slander, which is already very lenient."

Constance's indifferent expression made Julian's barely suppressed emotions erupt again.

"Constance, do you think changing your name can really sever ties with us?" Julian's eyes were filled with anger as he stared at her. "If you don't go to your mother's bedside and apologize on your knees, I will make you regret it."

Constance showed no reaction to his threat. "Mr. Redstone, I'd like to know how you plan to make me regret it."

Julian asked, "Do you think that now that you've latched onto the Drake family, you can disregard us?"

Constance retorted, "I'd like to ask you, Mr. Redstone, have you ever regarded me? Although I've lost my past memories, I've looked into my past. You took me back to the Redstone family just to use me for Bella's blood transfusions. When I was no longer useful, you kicked me out without a second thought. Do people like you deserve to be my parents?"

Julian was furious. "Bella is your sister. It's only right for you to save her when she's sick!"

Constance mocked, "Only right? How dare you say those words? It's also only right for parents to raise their children, but what have you done besides giving birth to me?"
