Chapter 121

"And you knew Elia is my idol, yet you didn't ask her for an autograph earlier. That's too much!!"

Alexander coldly looked at her and said, "Hurry up and go practice. If you don't pass your preliminary test tomorrow, you'll be the laughingstock!"

The next morning, Gianna went directly to the venue of the design competition.

To host this competition, the Johnson Group rented the venue and many high-tech monitors from the Clinton Group. The contestants were monitored while drawing their designs; and there was also a live broadcast for the whole nation to see the process, although their contestant numbers were not visible.

In addition to anonymous judging by the panel, one thousand designers would be selected online for voting, serving as one of the references for the competition scores. Therefore, this competition was lively both online and offline.

As Gianna entered the venue, a person in work clothes hurriedly approached her and said, "You're the new assistant, right? Move the water from the corner to the contestants' lounge."

The person seemed very busy; and before Gianna could respond, she hurriedly left.

Gianna looked around but didn't see anyone resembling the assistant the person mentioned.

Glancing at the time, Gianna saw that the competition would start in twenty minutes.

The lounge's door would close ten minutes early. Unless the contestants forfeited, they couldn't leave for the next three hours. If the water wasn't moved in, they would have to endure the three hours without it.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Gianna turned and headed towards the bottled water stacked on the side.

Just as Gianna lifted two boxes of water, a surprised voice sounded beside her.

"Gianna, what are you doing here?!"

Gianna turned to see Bella standing not far away, looking surprised.

Beside Bella stood Felix, who hadn't been seen for half a month. He seemed even colder, emitting an aura that kept others at bay.

During this period, Gianna occasionally saw Felix in the news attending parties with Bella. It seems that after she rejected Felix, he must have had a change of heart and got back together with Bella.

Gianna withdrew her gaze indifferently and had no intention of greeting Bella. She turned around and walked towards the rest area with water in hand.

However, Bella seemed determined not to let her go. She walked a few steps to Gianna and said, "Gianna, are you short of money? Why are you doing such job?"

Gianna couldn't be bothered to respond to her and continued walking forward.

"If you really need money, you can tell me. I can lend you."

Annoyed by her words, Gianna turned coldly to her and said, "Are you bored?"

Bella looked aggrieved. "Gianna, I'm only trying to help you. I feel sorry for you always doing this laborious job."

Impatient, Gianna's eyes flashed with annoyance. "Thank you, but I don't need it."

Not wanting to see Bella's hypocritical face anymore, Gianna briskly walked away, leaving her behind.

Bella didn't chase after her anymore, as her purpose of humiliating Gianna had already been achieved.

"Felix, I don't want to see Gianna suffer like this. Can you go tell the staff members at Johnson Group to fire her? Tonight, I'll discuss with my parents and transfer some money to her."

Felix's cold gaze fell on her face, his voice devoid of any warmth. "Aren't you supposed to participate in the competition? The time is almost up."

Feeling somewhat resentful, Bella looked at Felix and said, "Felix."

Felix impatiently interrupted her, "Bella, I'm only here with you today because I agreed to before. I won't help you with anything else!"

With that, Felix turned and left directly.

Watching Felix's retreating figure, Bella's eyes flashed with resentment and anger.

The first condition Bella asked of Felix over the phone was to accompany her to parties and banquets for the next three months, so that their business partners would be familiar with her. This way, when Julian negotiated business deals, the other party would also be wary of their relationship and wouldn't trouble Julian.

Sure enough, for the past month, the deals closed by Redstone Group were more than in the previous six months.

Julian's attitude towards Bella and Lauren improved; and he never mentioned divorce again. He even advised Bella to grasp the opportunity with Felix and try to marry him soon.

But Bella knew very well that it was all a facade.

Felix treated her well in public; but behind that, he never gave her a chance to see him.

Thinking of this, Bella's hands unconsciously clenched into fists.

All of this was because of Gianna!

But now, Bella was participating in a design competition while Gianna could only work as a temporary laborer to earn a living. It was the difference between them; and it was her confidence. Just based on this, Gianna could never stand on the same level as her in this lifetime!

With this in mind, a confident smile appeared on Bella's lips.

Bella thought that once she won the championship in the design competition, Felix would realize that she was the one who should stand by his side.

After placing the water, Gianna left.

Walking out of the rest area, she saw Felix standing not far from the door making a call. Gianna calmly withdrew her gaze and turned to walk towards the judging room.

After finishing the call, Felix turned around and saw Gianna's figure, his eyes darkening slightly.

Felix was about to catch up when a voice filled with surprise sounded beside him.

"Felix, there you are! I've been looking for you for a while!"

Felix turned around to see a staff member from the design competition.

"Felix, Mr. Johnson asked me to fetch you. I'll take you inside."

"Okay."

Gianna entered the judging room, found the small room with her name on it, and sat down.

Each judge had a separate small room. Before entering, all communication tools were collected by the organizers to prevent players from contacting judges, informing judges of their competition number, and colluding to cheat.

Gianna opened her computer and quietly waited for the first competition design draft to be completed.

A few minutes later, a design draft appeared on the screens of all judges, numbered 48.

Gianna glanced at it and then wrote comments in the input box.

Soon, the score of number 48 and the judges' comments appeared on the big screen and were also simultaneously posted online, sparking a heated discussion.

[This dress number 48 is designed quite well in all honesty. Just the color matching is a bit off, but after the judge's comments and modifications, it has instantly improved several levels!]

[The judges this time are really capable. Their evaluations and modification suggestions are excellent!]

[Elia's comments are so spot-on, basically covering all the points mentioned by the other judges!]

While there was a buzz online, the judges in the judge room began to get busy.

As the number of completed design drafts increased, each design draft would only be randomly assigned to two judges for evaluation, because there were only twenty judges, while over a thousand designers participated in the preliminary rounds.

As the scores of each design draft were released, online designers also began to vote. Each person had only ten votes, with each vote representing one-tenth of a point; and each design could only receive one vote.

Due to the large number of design drafts, the judges even had their lunch in the judge room and continued to evaluate the design drafts after eating.

Gianna read quickly and wrote comments quickly. By around 3pm., she had finished evaluating the design drafts assigned to her.

Gianna stretched and left the judge room after asking a staff member if she could leave first.

Just as she reached the roadside, she was stopped by Sophia.

"Miss Redstone, the CEO wants to see you."
