Chapter 135
Felix's expression was indifferent. "I have no objections."
"Good, then Thomas will start working at the Clinton Group tomorrow." After finalizing this matter, Natalie stood up and said, "I'm tired. You all should go back and rest early. Gianna, come with me. I have something to tell you."
Gianna followed Natalie out. After returning to Natalie's bedroom, Natalie looked at Gianna seriously and said, "Gianna, is there no chance for you and Felix to reconcile?"
Natalie really liked Gianna and got along well with her, so she wanted to give Felix another chance.
Gianna pursed her lips and nodded, "No, grandma. Mr. Clinton and I are not meant to be together. He originally liked Bella, and both of us should part ways."
"But in my opinion, he now likes you," Natalie looked at Gianna's eyes and said.
Natalie's words made Gianna's heart skip a beat involuntarily.
Gianna thought Felix couldn't possibly like her.
"Grandma, that's your misconception. He is showing concern for me now only because I suddenly decided to leave, and he is just feeling a bit unsettled for the moment. It can't be love," Gianna said.
Natalie held Gianna's hand and said slowly, "If he truly likes you, would you be willing to give him another chance?"
Gianna lowered her head, remained silent for a moment, and then shook her head.
"Grandma, my love for him has been exhausted over these three years. I don't want to go through the disappointment again and again."
Natalie looked sad, patted Gianna's hand, and said, "I understand."
Seeing Natalie's sad and dejected expression, Gianna felt a pang of guilt, but she thought it was better to make her accept reality rather than hold onto impossible hopes.
When Gianna left Natalie's bedroom, only Felix was left in the living room.
Upon hearing footsteps, Felix stood up from the sofa and turned to look at Gianna."Did you talk to grandma?"
"Yes," Gianna's voice was cold as she replied.
Felix looked at Gianna. The gentle light cascading down from above his head softened his once-cold eyes, causing Gianna's heart to tremble involuntarily.
"I'll take you back," Felix began.
Felix's voice brought Gianna back to reality, and she quickly averted her gaze and pretended to be calm. "Okay."
Gianna noticed that her heart was starting to waver again recently. She knew it wasn't a good sign and needed to find a way to calm down.
They drove back in silence.
As the car stopped at the entrance of the Villa, just as Gianna was about to get out, Felix suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Surprised, Gianna looked at Felix, but before she could ask him anything, her lips were sealed by his.
Gianna was stunned for a moment, about to push Felix away, but he withdrew on his own. "I have a business trip overseas tomorrow, and I might not be back for a week."
Gianna furrowed her brow. "You don't need to tell me about these things."
"But I wanted to tell you," Felix said.
Gianna looked up and met Felix's gentle eyes. With a cold expression, she said, "Mr. Clinton, if you continue like this, I feel that our relationship may not be suitable to continue."
A self-deprecating smile tugged at the corner of Felix's mouth as he lowered his gaze and said softly, "I understand."
"Thank you for taking me back." With that, Gianna pushed open the car door and left without looking back.
Felix's car remained parked at the entrance for a few minutes before finally driving away.
The Villa was dark, indicating that Laura had gone to another event.
Gianna didn't turn on the lights, sat down on the sofa, closed her eyes, and recalled the details of her time with Felix.
Perhaps seeing Felix suddenly appear in the flood caused Gianna's once firm heart to slowly crumble.
Gianna opened her eyes slowly and made a firm decision in her heart. She couldn't continue like this. Otherwise, she would fall in love with Felix again one day.
Early the next morning, as soon as Gianna arrived at the company, Hayden hurriedly came to find her.
"Ms. Redstone, I agree to compensate the company for the losses," Hayden said.
Gianna nodded indifferently. "Okay, you can transfer the money to the company's account. If there's a next time, you can leave your resignation letter on my desk."
Hayden was infuriated by Gianna's words, sneered, and said, "Ms. Redstone, rest assured. I will remember today's lesson, and there won't be a lesson next time."
"I hope you remember this lesson." Gianna didn't even give Hayden a look.
Hayden returned to the office in a rage, his eyes filled with anger. He would not let Gianna and Faith off the hook.
He was determined to make MY FASHION his own!
Just as the afternoon began, Faith rushed into Gianna's office.
"Gianna, quickly check Facebook. Someone posted a video of you hitting Bella online. She just won the national design competition, and the heat is high. The comments section is full of people criticizing you!"
Gianna opened Facebook, where several hot topics were already trending.
#DesignCompetitionChampionBellaRedstoneGotHit#
#IdentityOfThePersonWhoHitBellaRedstone#
#GiannaRedstoneRedstoneBellaRedstoneTwins#
Gianna clicked on the first one and recognized the scene where Bella and Lauren were cursing Gianna's adoptive parents at the entrance of the design competition venue, which led to Gianna hitting Bella.
The video was blurry as it was taken without permission obviously, and the comments below were explosive.
[How can there be such a malicious person! Bella's leg was injured. If there wasn't someone next to her, who knows what harm she would have suffered!]
[It's been revealed that the woman who hit Bella is Bella's twin sister, who was lost shortly after birth and only returned at the age of sixteen.]
[I heard she didn't even graduate from high school as her grades were very poor, and she has always been jealous of Bella, imitating her. She's just a clown!]
[I heard she was just a temporary worker at the design competition venue, delivering water to the contestants every day. She probably lost her mind and hit Bella out of jealousy because she couldn't participate in the competition like Bella and could only work as a temporary worker!]
[I never expected that the beautiful and hardworking Bella would have such a suffocating twin sister. I feel sorry for Bella!]
Most of the comments were criticizing her, but Gianna scrolled through them calmly, without a hint of emotion on her face.
Seeing Gianna's calm demeanor, Faith felt a mix of heartache and anger.
There were many times the Redstone family had shown favoritism and neglect toward Gianna, which caused her to browse through those attacking comments so calmly.
"Gianna, do you want me to hire some internet trolls to fight back for you?" Faith asked, her voice worried.
Gianna shook her head, put down her phone, and looked at Faith. "Faith, don't worry about this matter. I can handle it myself."
"Are you sure you don't need my help?" Faith frowned.
"Yes, rest assured. I can handle it." Gianna smiled at Faith.
"Alright then." With that, Faith left.
After Faith left, Gianna continued to work.
Within two hours, someone found Gianna's phone number and address and started sending her all sorts of malicious messages and threatening texts, as well as harassing phone calls.
Gianna turned off her phone and planned to deal with it after work.
On the other side, in the Redstone family, Bella saw all the online criticism against Gianna, a smug expression creeping on her face.
Bella never expected that the incident that Gianna hit her would be captured on video and posted online.
Now, Bella didn't need to deal with Gianna herself, as her online supporters would vent their anger for her.
Seeing Gianna being criticized and people investigating her address and phone number, Bella couldn't help but laugh.
Now, she didn't need to take action, as the online criticism and harassment from her supporters would surely make Gianna completely collapse.
After watching for a while with relish, Bella was about to put down her phone when she received a call from Felix.
"Bella, did you do what's happening online?" Felix inquired.
