Gianna shook her head, "I went to pick up the gift right after work and came straight here. Clinton is probably still working overtime."
Upon hearing this, Natalie's eyes flickered with disappointment. She had hoped that during this time Felix was recovering from his car accident, their relationship would have improved. But now it seemed that things were still the same as before, with no progress.
"He’s stillI have to working on my birthday., and wWhen he comes later, you must criticize him properly!"
Gianna smiled and agreed with the old lady's words, "OkaySure!"
Meanwhile, Bella, who was watching Gianna being treated so well by Natalie while being cold and indifferent towardstoward herself, felt jealous and angry.
If it weren't for the fact that Felix had been raised by Natalie since childhood and only listenedned to her, she wouldn't have to go through so much trouble to please Natalie!
"Belle, Belle, why suddenly silentthe sudden silence?"
Ximena's voice brought Bella back to reality, and Bella quickly regained her composure and looked at Ximena.
"Ximena, I'm sorry, I was a bit distracted just now, probably because I've been tired lately."
"You've been helping me prepare for the old lady's birthday banquet recently, and I know it's been hard for you. If only Gianna were half as understanding as you."
Bella involuntarily tightened her hand; she didn't want to be understanding at all.

Bella flashed a shy smile and said slowly, "Aunt Ximena, I'm glad I could help you. I've always enjoyed being with you and learning so much from you."
Ximena nodded, "Don't worry, I see all the hard work you've put in, and I have only chosen you as my daughter-in-law!"
Fear showed on Bella's face, "Ximena, please don't say that. Felix and my sister are already married, so I wouldn't dare to have any thoughts."
Ximena held her hand and whispered, "I will help you."
She leaned in close to Bella's ear and said something that immediately made Bella blush.
Gianna walked around the banquet hall and found it boring, so she decided to go to the garden and spend some time alone in the pavilion.
Just as she reached the entrance of the garden, she heard a discussion coming from inside.
"Natalie's birthday banquet is really lively tonight. It's a shame Felix didn't come. Could it be because he's disabled and was is too embarrassed to come?"
"I suppose he's afraid of being ridiculed. After all, he was once a genius, but now he's paralyzed and will never have a chance to stand up again. I bet it won't be long before someone else takes over as CEO of the Clinton Group."
"If I were him, I might not be able to accept it either. Spending the rest of my life as a disabled person, I'd rather commit suicide!"
Gianna frowned and walked in directly, saying coldly, "If you have the guts, go talk to Felix face-to-face. What's the point of gossiping behind his back?"
Sitting in the pavilion were several socialites from Dawnridge who had recently returned from abroad. Gianna was not familiar with them.
They were startled to see someone coming into the backyard and recognized Gianna immediately. Contempt and mockery filled their eyes.
"And here I wondered who it was!? Turns out it's Miss Redstone. We were just telling the truth. Did we say something wrong?"
Gianna sneered, "Even if Felix can never stand up again, it's none of your business to discuss it here."
"You!"
One of the women who had business dealings with the Redstone Group stood up suddenly and disdainfully said to Gianna, "Gianna, you better pretend you haven't heard anything, otherwise I'll have my father cut off the cooperation with the Redstone family!"
Gianna showed no warmth in her eyes and was about to speak when a cold voice sounded behind her.
"Miss Bishop, you have quite the audacity. Since the Bishop family is so capable, I suppose you no longer need to cooperate with the Clinton Group. Oh, and let's not forget the Chen family and Zhang family."
Seeing Felix suddenly appear behind Gianna, the faces of the several women turned pale.
If their families knew they had offended Felix and caused the cooperation between their companies and the Clinton Group to be cut off, their families would definitely break their legs.

Felix looked at her with a slightly softer gaze, not expecting Gianna to stand up for him. An indescribable feeling surged in his heart.
"Have you seen grandma? She was talking about you earlier."
"Not yet."
Just as they he returned to Harmony Garden, he saw her heading towardstoward the backyard, so he followed along.
"Then I'll push you there. Have you prepared a birthday gift for Ggrandma?"
"Yes."
Gianna pushed the wheelchair and occasionally exchanged a few words with Felix, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
As they entered the living room, they immediately attracted everyone's attention.
Although Felix had already announced his marriage to Gianna at Henry's birthday party last time, people still found it hard to adjust.
How could they suddenly be married when no one had even heard about them dating?
Bella stared at Gianna with hatred in her eyes. It should have been her standing behind Felix, but Gianna had taken it all away from her.
When they reached Natalie, Felix handed over the birthday gift he had prepared.
"Grandma, happy birthday!"
Natalie looked at him discontentedly, "You know it's my birthday and yet you come back so late!"
Although she complained, her face still showed happiness when she received the gift.
Seeing that the box contained a set of valuable ice jade necklaces worth millions, Natalie calmly closed the box and handed it to the butler beside her.
"Gianna's gift is still the most thoughtful."
Noticing Natalie unconsciously touching the bracelet she was wearing on her wrist, Felix's eyes showed a hint of shock, but it was quickly masked by indifference.
"This is her birthday gift for you?"

Natalie nodded, "Yes."

Just as they were chatting, Ximena arrived with Bella.
"Mom, Belle also prepared a gift for you. She prayed to the gods for a month to get it."
Bella handed the sacred item to Natalie with a shy expression, "Natalie, I heard that Silvercrest is the most effective for seeking peace. I prayed for a month, hoping that you would stay safe and healthy!"
Natalie accepted the gift from Bella with a faint expression and nodded, "Thank you, Miss Redstone. Ximena, make sure to take good care of Miss Redstone."
Noticing Natalie's cold attitude towardstoward her, Bella's face stiffened, and she involuntarily looked towardstoward Felix.
However, Felix didn't look at her and kept his gaze on Gianna.
