Chapter 276
Felix brushed him off, got up, and shot a look at Gianna. "I got this. You get back to work."
Gianna was already halfway out the door and nodded. "Alright, but remember, Mr. Getty's the big boss of the Getty Group. Don't push it too far."
Felix gave her a reassuring smile. "Chill, I know what I'm doing."
Once Gianna was gone, Felix had someone fix Daniel's jaw and plop him into a wheelchair.
Daniel, thinking Felix was scared, sneered, "Too late to play nice now. I'm not letting the Clinton Group off the hook!"
Felix's face stayed cool. He flicked a lighter and said, "Mr. Getty, you're confused. This is Dawnridge, not Thundertop."
Even if it was Thundertop, Felix wouldn't be scared of Daniel.
Daniel shot back, "So what? The Clinton Group going up against the Getty Group is like an egg hitting a rock. If you know what's good for you, you'll send Gianna to Jonah's bed. Otherwise, I'll make sure the Clinton Group goes belly up!"
Felix's hand froze, and his eyes turned icy.
"You kidnapped her to send her to Jonah's bed?" Felix growled.
Daniel smirked, "What else? If Jonah didn't like her, someone like her, who's been married and has no background, would just be a toy for Jonah!" He was so full of himself, not noticing Felix's face getting colder by the second.
Felix let out a chilling laugh, sending shivers down everyone's spine.
Daniel finally sensed something was off and his heart skipped a beat.
Next thing he knew, Felix's hand was around his neck.
Daniel gasped for air, eyes wide with disbelief.
Seeing Felix's stone-cold face and the deadly look in his eyes, Daniel finally felt real fear.
"Felix, if you kill me, the Clinton family is toast too," Daniel choked out.
His face turned blue and purple from lack of air, and his struggles weakened.
The butler, standing nearby, was scared stiff but didn't dare to intervene.
Felix looked like a demon from hell, too terrifying to mess with.
James, also nearby, feared Felix might actually kill Daniel. He quickly stepped in, "Mr. Clinton, if Mr. Getty dies here, it won't just hurt the Clinton Group but also Ms. Redstone. Plus, Mr. Getty is Jonah's dad, and Jonah saved Ms. Redstone!"
Felix's eyes narrowed, and he suddenly let go of Daniel.
Daniel gasped for air, feeling a sharp pain in his lungs.
He coughed on the ground, still in shock. Felix had really meant to kill him.
Felix warned, "Mr. Getty, if you mess with Gianna again, you'll regret it more than anything."
With that, Felix turned and walked out.
The heavy tension in the room lifted, and the butler finally dared to help Daniel up, giving him some water.
It took Daniel over ten minutes to pull himself together.
As the fear faded, a wave of humiliation and rage hit him. He wanted to crush Gianna and Felix right then and there!
"Call the people at Thundertop now. I want the Clinton Group bankrupt in three days!" Daniel barked.
Just then, a phone rang nearby.
Daniel picked up, and an angry Getty Group shareholder's voice came through, "Mr. Getty, weren't you in Dawnridge to see Jonah? What did you do? The Clinton Group just said they want to cancel the contract with us!"
Daniel's face twisted with rage. "Not only do I want to cancel the contract, but I also want to bankrupt the Clinton Group!"
The guy on the other end was shocked. "Are you nuts? Working with the Clinton Group is our best shot at breaking into the Dubline market!"
He couldn't wrap his head around why Daniel would do something so reckless.
"Just do it!" Daniel snapped and hung up, his face dark with anger.
Only by bankrupting the Clinton Group could he cool his rage!
If the folks in Thundertop found out he got punked by Gianna and Felix in Dawnridge, he'd be the butt of every joke in high society. So, the Clinton Group had to go down!
Meanwhile, on the ride back to the Clinton Group, James finally spoke up after a long silence.
"Mr. Clinton, you were too rash today. Mr. Getty's not gonna let this slide; he's gonna come after us hard," James said.
Felix's face was stone cold. "I don't regret a thing."
If he couldn't protect his own woman, what kind of man was he?
The Getty Group didn't waste any time. Within a day, they snatched up several major deals from the Clinton Group.
The Clinton Group's shareholders, still scarred from the chaos when Thomas was in charge, freaked out. They rushed to Felix's office.
But James blocked their way.
"James, we need to see Mr. Clinton. Move aside!" one shareholder demanded.
"Yeah, we need answers. Wasn't Mr. Clinton all about working with the Getty Group? Why are they stealing our deals now?" another chimed in.
"If Mr. Clinton doesn't explain, we're not leaving!" a third one added.
Seeing their panic, James sighed. "I get it, but Mr. Clinton's not here. He's on a business trip."
No matter how much James explained, the shareholders didn't buy it and camped out at Felix's door.
James had a ton of work from Felix. After trying to reason with them and getting nowhere, he just sat down and got back to work, ignoring them.
He wasn't lying; Felix was actually on a plane to Thundertop.
If the Getty Group could steal their deals, the Clinton Group could do the same to them.
If Jonah hadn't saved Gianna before, Felix wouldn't have even considered partnering with the Getty Group. This trip to Thundertop was to meet with his original partner.
Soon, Felix quietly inked a deal with Wesley Garcia, the president of the Garcia Group in Thundertop.
As he left Emerald Isle, Felix casually mentioned some dirt on the Getty Group he'd dug up.
Wesley smirked, "Mr. Clinton, you want me to get revenge for you?"
Felix's face was unreadable. "Mr. Garcia, the market's only so big. If the Getty Group takes a big chunk, the Garcia Group gets less. I'm just handing you a knife. If you can use it to cut into the Getty Group's share, we both win."
Wesley laughed, "Mr. Clinton, you sure know how to spin it. You're out for revenge, but you still come off as the good guy."
Felix shrugged. "I've given you the info. Whether you use it or not is up to you."
Wesley nodded, but he made a mental note never to cross Felix; otherwise, he wouldn't even see it coming.
Meanwhile, Gianna had set up a meeting with Garrett.
"Gianna, have you made up your mind?" Garrett asked.
Gianna nodded. "Yeah, I'll do the surgery, but it has to be in a week."
Garrett frowned. "Why?"
"I need someone with me. She's abroad and needs a week to get here," Gianna explained.
Garrett's eyes widened. "You mean Amara?"
"Yeah, don't forget, Amara was a world-renowned miracle doctor," Gianna said.
"If she helps, will the success rate go up?" Garrett asked.
"Yes, with Amara, I have a fifty percent chance," Gianna replied.
"Alright, but if you do the surgery on Jonah, your identity might get exposed. Do you want me to pretend to be you again, like last time?" Garrett offered.
