Chapter 142

Gianna tried to push away Felix, but he held her tightly by the waist, making it impossible for her to escape, so she had to endure Felix's kiss.

After some time, Felix finally let go of Gianna.

Gianna raised her hand to hit Felix, but he caught her wrist.

"Do you want me to kiss you again?"

"Jerk! Let me go!"

Felix smiled and said softly, "Don't be angry."

Gianna sneered. "Mr. Clinton, you're mistaken. I'm not angry."

"Then why do you want to end things with me?"

"There's no connection between the two. I feel that we are not compatible."

"Go rest. It's not suitable to discuss this tonight."

Gianna frowned, but seeing Felix's expression, she realized that the matter wouldn't be resolved tonight. She didn't say anything more, pushed open the car door, and left.

Watching Gianna's retreating figure, Felix couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit helpless.

As soon as Gianna entered the Villa, she received a call from Faith.

"Gianna, did Felix Clinton do anything to you?"

"No, he just drove me home. I didn't have a chance to tell you earlier, sorry."

"Since you're fine, I'll go back."

In the following days, Gianna was busy coordinating with new vendors, sometimes too busy to even have lunch. Felix sent a few messages to Gianna, but when she didn't reply, he stopped.

Soon, it was Friday. Gianna had finished arranging her work for the next week, and it was already past six p.m.

Gianna picked up her bag and headed downstairs. As soon as she reached the first floor, she saw Felix's car parked at the MY FASHION Club Entrance.

After a moment's hesitation, Gianna walked toward the car.

"Mr. Clinton, is there something you need?"

"Get in the car."

Gianna furrowed her brows slightly and didn't move.

"Mr. Clinton, just tell me. I have other things to do later."

"What things?"

"It seems I don’t need to report my schedule to you, Mr. Clinton."

Felix didn't say anything more. He opened the car door, got out, and walked up to Gianna, lifting her and putting her in the car.

Gianna was taken aback by Felix’s audacity. She gritted her teeth and said, "Felix Clinton, have you gone mad?"

Although the rush hour at MY FASHION had passed, there might still be people around.

Felix glanced lightly at Gianna and said, "Since you wouldn't get in the car yourself, I had to do it myself."

Felix didn't look at Gianna again and instructed the driver to start the car.

Gianna turned her head away, showing no intention of communicating with Felix.

Felix couldn't help but chuckle and whispered, "You look cute when you're angry."

"You're insane!"

Gianna took a deep breath, turned her head back, and looked at Felix coldly.

"Where are you taking me?"

"You'll find out when we get there."

Realizing she wouldn't get any answers, Gianna closed her eyes and fell silent. Perhaps due to exhaustion, she soon drifted off to sleep.

Felix took a thin blanket and gently covered Gianna, then instructed the driver to turn up the air conditioning. He picked up the nearby documents and continued reading, creating a quiet and pleasant atmosphere.

When Gianna woke up, she found that it was already dark outside.

"Awake?"

Gianna straightened up and saw the thin blanket covering her, a hint of surprise in her eyes.

"Where are we?"

"By the seaside."

"Why did you bring me here?"

"Get out first. Dinner is ready."

Upon hearing Felix's words, Gianna realized she was indeed feeling hungry.

Following Felix out of the car, Gianna noticed a three-story traditional-style seaside villa next to them.

As they entered the living room, the dining table was filled with food, all of Gianna's favorites. She couldn't help but pick up the utensils.

At that moment, Gianna was no longer concerned about why Felix had brought her here. Her focus was solely on the food.

After dinner, a housekeeper promptly cleared the table and served dessert.

"We'll stay here tonight, and tomorrow, I'll take you fishing at sea."

Gianna furrowed her brows slightly. She wasn't interested in fishing, and she had planned to rest well over the weekend.

"I just want to stay at home this weekend."

"That's fine. I'll have the housekeeper prepare a barbecue, and we can have fun in the villa and watch a movie."

Gianna sensed that Felix was planning a date with her. Feeling wary, she looked at Felix and said, "Mr. Clinton, I want to go home."

"This is your home."

"This is your home, not mine."

"If you want, I can transfer it to you right now."

Gianna felt somewhat helpless. "Mr. Clinton, I think you know what I mean. Stop playing dumb."

Felix gazed steadily at Gianna. "I prefer the way you address me in bed compared to Mr. Clinton."

Gianna felt like she was talking to a moron. Every time she tried to have a serious conversation with Felix, he always diverted the topic.

Seeing Gianna fall silent, Felix walked up to her, took her hand, and said, "Faith told me you've been working hard lately, so I wanted to take you out to have fun this weekend."

"Tomorrow night, the nocturnal jellyfish migration will pass through this sea. If you really don't want to stay here, I'll take you back after watching the jellyfish."

Meeting Felix's eyes, Gianna felt her heart racing.

Gianna quickly withdrew her hand, lowered her gaze, and said, "I hope you keep your word."

"Alright, I'll go handle some work. Feel free to explore."

Having rested in the car, Gianna was now alert. She found a movie to watch and settled on the couch.

When Felix returned after finishing his work, he saw Gianna curled up on the couch, shivering as a devil appeared on the screen.

Just as Gianna was about to scream from the scene, a hand covered her eyes from behind.

Thinking it was the devil, Gianna instinctively grabbed the hand and threw Felix over her shoulder, almost wrestling him to the ground.

The next moment, realizing it was Felix on the floor, Gianna flushed with embarrassment.

Felix's expression darkened. "Help me up!"

After helping Felix back onto the couch, Gianna said, somewhat displeased, "Why didn't you say anything?"

"Scaredy-cat watching horror movies?"

"You don't understand. It's about seeking thrills, and if your hand hadn't appeared out of nowhere, I wouldn't have been scared!"

Felix chuckled and bluntly exposed Gianna. "Who was the one cowering on the couch just now?"

"Who said that?"

Before she could finish the sentence, Gianna saw the devil on the screen charging toward the camera. Startled, she screamed and dove into Felix's arms.

Felix held Gianna's waist and chuckled. "I thought you said you weren't scared."

Gianna quickly grabbed the remote and turned off the movie, then sat down as if nothing had happened. "That was an accident."

"Sure, it was an accident."

Seeing Felix's suppressed smile, Gianna knew he was silently mocking her.

Gianna glared at Felix. "That's boring. I'm going upstairs to sleep!"

As Gianna passed by Felix, he suddenly pulled her into his arms, and the next moment, his cold lips pressed against hers.

Gianna was momentarily stunned, then she wrapped her arms around Felix's neck and kissed him back.

After the kiss, both of them were slightly breathless. Felix picked up Gianna and headed straight to the bedroom.

When Gianna woke up again, it was close to noon.

She picked up her phone and saw a message from Faith, her expression paled.

She quickly replied to Faith's messages, changed into the clothes prepared in the wardrobe, freshened up, and then headed downstairs.

Felix was sitting in the yard, reading some documents. Beside him were ingredients and a barbecue grill prepared by the housekeeper.

Seeing Gianna, Felix smiled and set aside the documents.

"Awake? Let's have a barbecue for lunch."

Gianna looked indifferent. "No, I want to leave now."

Felix furrowed his brows. "At least have lunch first."

"No need. It'll be too late after lunch!"

"What do you mean?"

Gianna sneered. "Mr. Clinton, there's no need to play dumb. You brought me here on purpose to let Bella snatch away the vendors I was negotiating with, right?"
