Chapter 393
Felix said, "Thank you for your concern, Ms. Redstone."
Teresa said, "Then I won't disturb you and this young lady's meal."
Draining her glass in one gulp, Teresa glanced at Constance without a word and then turned to leave the private room.
Constance felt that there was a hint of scrutiny in the way Teresa looked at her.
Constance asked, "Is she your business partner?"
Felix turned to look at Constance and nodded. "Yes, and she's also your aunt."
A look of surprise flashed in Constance's eyes, and she frowned. "But the look she gave me just now made it seem like she didn't know me at all."
Felix explained, "When you were born, she had already married and moved to Thundertop, so you two have never met. She probably came over just now because someone who knows you saw you here and told her, so she came to confirm."
Without her old memories, even if someone she knew appeared in front of her, she wouldn't recognize them.
While she was lost in thought, Felix had already dialed James' number and ordered, "Find out who Teresa is having dinner with tonight."
In less than five minutes, James replied.
Seeing the name Julian, Felix's expression changed, and he said in a deep voice, "Constance, the person dining with Teresa is your biological father, Julian."
Back in the private room, Teresa looked at Julian and asked, "Did you call Bella?"
Julian nodded. "Bella said she's at home."
Teresa's face darkened. After sitting back down, she said in a low voice, "I confirmed it. The woman with Felix looks exactly like Bella."
Julian said, "So it's really Gianna! She didn't die?"
Teresa asked, "When you heard about her death three years ago, didn't you confirm it yourself?"
Julian frowned. "At that time, Jared was also kidnapped. By the time we found him, he was already mentally impaired. I was busy finding doctors to treat him and had no time to deal with it. Besides, who would have thought she would fake her death!"
Teresa was silent for a few seconds before saying slowly, "When I went in just now, she seemed not to recognize me. Don't worry about it for now. As long as it doesn't affect the company, let's just consider her dead."
Julian had a bad feeling, thinking that the fortune teller's words might come true.
He took a deep breath to suppress his worries and nodded. "Yes, next week the Redstone Group will shift its focus to Thundertop. I'm betting everything on this; we must establish a firm foothold in Thundertop!"
Teresa smiled. "With me here, what are you worried about? Once the branch is established, I'll find a way to get some big projects for the Redstone Group. As long as we do well and build a good reputation, there will be a continuous stream of orders."
Julian poured Teresa a glass of wine and said with a smile, "Teresa, thank you in advance!"
Teresa replied, "No need to thank me. If the Redstone family can rise in Thundertop, my voice in the family will be much stronger."
Over the years, because she only had a daughter, Margaret Taylor always looked down on her. No matter how much she tried to please her, Margaret remained cold. Her husband was unreliable, so if she wanted a place in the Forbes family, she had to fight for it herself!
After dinner, Teresa sent Julian back to the villa and then left.
After much thought, Julian decided to tell Lauren about seeing Constance at the restaurant.
However, after hearing it, Lauren was not surprised at all. She just frowned and said, "I didn't expect Bella to be right; Gianna really isn't dead!"
Julian was stunned and quickly asked, "You knew about this?"
Lauren replied, "Before we came to Thundertop, Bella mentioned it to me. I thought she was mistaken and didn't take it seriously."
Julian's face changed, and he snorted coldly, "Since she has been hiding this from us, let's pretend we don't have this daughter!"
Lauren was preoccupied with her unborn child and didn't care about Bella, let alone Gianna, whom she had always disliked.
"Okay," Lauren replied.
On the other side, after learning that Julian was her biological father but only saw her as a tool to benefit the Redstone family, Constance had no affection for him.
She simply thought that such a person didn't deserve to be a father. She didn't feel sad or wronged at all.
She just didn't expect to meet him so soon.
A few days later, one afternoon, Grant called her into his office and said with a smile, "Constance, let me introduce you. This is the president of the Redstone Group, Mr. Redstone. Their company has been doing well in Dawnridge and is now shifting its focus to Thundertop. Our company has a collaboration with them, and I plan to assign this project to you."
Constance looked at the man sitting on the sofa. Just as she was about to speak, the man's expression changed dramatically upon seeing her face. "It's you!"
Constance raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Redstone, do you know me?"
Julian sneered, "Gianna, don't play dumb. Did you know all along that Luminary Ventures Group was going to collaborate with the Redstone Group?"
Constance was about to speak when she realized something. She thought, 'My last name is Redstone, and so is this man's. Could he be my biological father? Could there be a more coincidental situation?'
Constance said, "Mr. Redstone, I just found out when Grant called me over. If you're not satisfied with me, you can request a different designer."
Julian sneered, "I not only want a different designer, but I also want your company to fire you!"
Constance frowned, her gaze turning cold. "Mr. Redstone, I'm afraid you don't have that authority."
Julian said, "I haven't seen you in three years, and now you're talking back to me!"
Sensing the tense atmosphere between them, Grant quickly intervened, "Mr. Redstone, do you know Constance?"
Julian looked surprised. "You said her name is Constance?"
Grant nodded. "Yes, Constance is very capable, and her design style is perfect for this project. I suggest not changing the designer."
"No way!" Julian flatly refused, "Grant, I not only want a different designer, but I also demand that your company fire her!"
Seeing his unreasonable stance, Grant's face darkened. "Mr. Redstone, if you insist on changing the designer, I can arrange that. But whether or not to fire Constance is an internal matter of our company, and I hope you will not interfere!"
Julian stood up and stared at Grant. "If you don't fire her, the collaboration between the Redstone Group and Luminary Ventures Group is off!"
