Chapter 234
Kyle felt bad but didn't push it. The issue between Jonah and his dad wasn't something he could fix.
After Kyle left, Jonah glanced at Gianna's villa, then looked away without any expression.
Faith got out of the hospital after two days. First thing she did was head to the police station.
Seeing her, Ulysses's cocky attitude turned to begging.
"Faith, I messed up. Please forgive me! We're family!"
Faith's eyes were cold. "Ulysses, when you hit me and sold me out, we stopped being family. I'm just here to see your downfall."
As Ulysses realized she wasn't budging, his eyes turned frosty.
"Faith, you'll regret this!"
"Maybe, but you'll definitely pay. Don't count on your mom bailing you out. The shares you sold and the money your dad stole from MY FASHION are all recovered. Just wait for the verdict."
Ulysses's face twisted with anger as he glaredat Faith.
"Faith! This is all your fault! You'll regret for this!"
Faith smiled, stood up, and walked out without looking back.
Before Ulysses did all that, she thought about helping Hayden. But now, she saw their true colors and was ready for them to face justice.
Outside the police station, she saw Dominic waiting. Faith smiled and walked quickly to him.
"What are you doing here?"
"To take you home. And we have to treat Mr. Harris to dinner today, right? I'll go with you."
Faith linked her arm with his and smiled, "Okay."
After all that mess, her future looked brighter.
On Monday morning, Gianna got to the office and asked Otis to call a shareholders' meeting.
A cautious shareholder asked Otis, "Do you know what Gianna's planning for this meeting?"
With Hayden's situation, they were all nervous, worried Gianna might come after them next. They had also done things that hurt the company, and those issues weren't resolved yet.
Otis shook his head and smiled, "Gianna didn't tell me the details, but we'll find out in the meeting."
Gianna didn't know about their worries. She wasn't rushing to deal with them, thinking Hayden's situation would keep them in check for now.
At ten, the meeting started on time.
Gianna first talked about Hayden's actions that hurt the company, warning the shareholders, then moved to the main topic.
"The high-end clothing line I planned is now on track. Designer Johnson and Designer Hall have designed the next quarter's clothes. Now, Designer Johnson will present her designs and plans."
Emily stepped up, projected her designs, and explained her concepts and target customers.
After she finished, a shareholder frowned, "Gianna, customers who can afford custom dresses usually have their preferred styles and stores. It'll be tough to attract them initially."
Gianna smiled, "That's normal. Any new venture starts from scratch. If we never try, the path only gets narrower."
Just as the shareholder was about to speak, Gianna's phone rang.
As soon as she answered, her face turned grim.
Hanging up, she quickly said, "Meeting's over."
Leaving the room, Gianna gave Otis a few instructions and drove to the police station.
When she arrived, James approached, looking worried.
"What's the situation?"
James looked serious, "A female client claims Felix sexually harassed her. It's all over the internet, and people are trashing him. He might even get detained."
"Where's the lawyer?"
James's face darkened, "Thomas sent the Clinton Group's legal team to Thundertop for a conference yesterday. They won't be back until tonight."
Gianna frowned, "No other lawyers?"
"Felix doesn't trust anyone else."
"I'll make a call."
Gianna stepped aside and called Faith, "Get the best lawyer from MY FASHION's legal team to the police station now!"
After that, she turned to James.
"Tell me everything."
"This morning, Thomas called Felix, saying he had a contract to discuss. When Felix entered the private room, the female client was already on the sofa with disheveled clothes. As he was about to leave, a group of people burst in, and she accused him of harassment!"
Gianna realized Thomas had set Felix up.
"Got it. We'll wait for the lawyer. Where's the female client now?"
"She left after giving her statement."
"Send me her information."
"Okay."
Gianna opened Facebook and saw Felix's alleged harassment was trending. There were hundreds of thousands of comments, growing fast.
The Clinton Group was well-known, so everyone was talking about it, and the comments were brutal.
[Ugh, I thought he was the hottest CEO, but he's just another creep. Gross!]
[Wonder how those women who called him 'husband' feel now. Haha, harassing a client? Unbelievable!]
[Men think with their lower halves. What's the point of being handsome? He probably does worse things in private!]
As Gianna saw this, his eyes turned cold. She made a call with a frosty expression.
"Delete all posts about Felix's harassment on Facebook immediately."
Meanwhile, Thomas was reading the comments, a cold smile on his lips.
"Felix, never thought you'd fall this hard!"
His secretary asked, "Thomas, should we keep hiring people to insult him?"
Thomas's sneer grew colder, "Keep it up. Buy more trending topics. I want him hated by the whole country!"
The secretary looked uneasy, "Thomas, we've already spent over a million on negative comments. More trending topics will cost another two to three million."
Thomas's smile faded, "Just do it. I'll have finance transfer the money."
"Okay."
After the secretary left, Thomas kept reading the comments. Soon, his phone rang.
"Thomas, did you buy the trending topics?"
The female voice on the other end was furious. Before Thomas could respond, she snapped, "I agreed to help frame Felix, but I didn't expect this mess. Remove the trending topics now, or you'll regret it!"
