Chapter 366

Felix's face was stone cold. "If you don't want the Chambers Group to go under because of your stupidity, stay away from her from now on!"

Eric clenched his teeth, his anger almost boiling over, but he didn't dare to go up against Felix. He knew Felix had the power to bankrupt the Chambers Group for real.

Seeing Eric stay quiet, Constance smiled, linked her arm with his, and retorted to Felix, "Mr. Clinton, you're really something. Mr. Chambers and I like each other. Who are you to interfere?"

Felix narrowed his eyes, his gaze landing on Constance's hand on Eric's arm. He chuckled lightly, "If you don't let go, I can't promise his hand will still be attached to his body tomorrow."

That cold stare made Eric shiver, feeling like he was being watched by a snake.

Constance sneered, "Mr. Clinton, if anything happens to Mr. Chambers, I won't let you off!"

Felix smirked, "You're threatening me for someone like him?"

Eric, standing there, was fuming, feeling utterly humiliated.

Constance shot back, "I'm not threatening, just letting you know. Besides, no matter how bad Mr. Chambers is, he wouldn't harm his own wife."

Felix's eyes narrowed sharply, and he said in a low voice, "I can explain what happened three years ago."

"No need. I'm not that interested. Mr. Chambers and I are going to stroll in the garden now. Mr. Clinton, do as you please." With that, she took Eric's arm and started to leave.

As they passed Felix, he suddenly grabbed her.

"Let go..." Before she could finish, Constance felt herself lose balance, and the next thing she knew, she was in Felix's arms.

The pleasant scent of pine from Felix wafted over, but Constance only felt anger. "Felix, are you crazy? Let go of me!" she snapped.

Seeing her anger, Felix said calmly, "Constance, my patience has limits. You can throw tantrums at me, hit me, or scold me, but if you get tangled up with other men, I might do something unpredictable."

Constance found it laughable. "What does it have to do with you? I can be with any man I want. It's none of your business!"

She glanced at Eric, who had been silent all this time. "Mr. Chambers, didn't you say you liked me? Are you just going to stand there and watch me being held by another man?"

Eric's face turned grim, and his fists clenched at his sides. After a few seconds of hesitation, he finally mustered the courage to look at Felix and said through gritted teeth, "Mr. Clinton, put Miss Drake down immediately, or I'll call for help!"

Felix looked at him with disdain. "All you can do is call for help? If we were in the middle of nowhere, you'd probably be too scared to stand."

Eric shouted, "You! Felix, don't push me too far!"

Felix mocked, "Am I pushing you too far, or are you just too weak? You know the answer."

As soon as Felix finished speaking, Eric raised his fist and swung it at Felix's face.

Felix, holding Constance with both hands, had no chance to fight back or dodge, so he took the punch head-on.

The next second, Eliza walked into the pavilion with a dozen servants, coldly looking at Felix. "Mr. Clinton, let go of Constance!"

Eliza hadn't expected Felix to use the pretext of discussing business with Timothy to come to the garden and disrupt Constance and Eric's bonding. He was nothing short of a rogue!

Felix's expression was icy. "Mrs. Drake, out of respect for how well you've treated Constance these past few years, I haven't held you accountable for secretly taking her away three years ago. Don't push your luck!"

Eliza sneered, "Constance is my daughter. Your ex-wife was killed by you three years ago!"

Felix chuckled and said slowly, "We never divorced, so how can she be my ex-wife? If I want, it's not hard to get a paternity test. Then, I would have every reason to sue the Drake family for keeping me separated from my wife for three years."

Eliza couldn't hold back her anger and pointed at Felix, cursing, "Do you have any shame? If it weren't for you three years ago, Constance wouldn't have suffered so much! Now that she finally has a peaceful life, you barge into her world again. If you had any sense of guilt, you wouldn't be doing this!"

Felix replied, "That's between us. How we resolve it is none of your concern, Mrs. Drake. Today, I'm taking her with me."

"No way!" Eliza shouted.

The two stared each other down, their eyes cold, the tension thick in the air.

Just as Eliza was about to instruct the servants to take Constance back, Timothy's cold voice cut through the tension. "Let him go!"

Eliza and Constance both looked up in disbelief at Timothy, who was walking over from a distance. Did he mean to agree to Felix taking Constance away?

Eliza asked in disbelief, "Timothy, are you crazy?"

Timothy walked up to Eliza and whispered, "I'll explain later."

Eliza shook off his hand and said coldly, "Explain now, or I won't speak to you again!"

Timothy sighed helplessly, "He has their marriage certificate."

Eliza retorted, "That's Gianna, not Constance!"

Felix threatened, "They are the same person, Mrs. Drake. You should know that. If I bring in a lawyer, I can sue the Drake family. If I'm not mistaken, Xavier is up for a promotion soon. If this affects his future, it would be a great loss."

Eliza was trembling with anger, looking at Felix as if she wanted to kill him. "You're despicable! Now I definitely won't let you take Constance away!"

Felix's expression was icy, his jaw clenched tightly. Just as he was about to speak, Constance suddenly spoke from his arms, "Mom, it's okay. I'll go with him."

"Constance." Eliza looked at her in disbelief, her eyes filled with disappointment. "Are you crazy too? Have you forgotten what I told you in the hospital?"

Constance shook her head. "I haven't forgotten. I'll be back soon."

Seeing the determination in her eyes, Eliza knew she had made up her mind, and no amount of persuasion would change it. "Do as you wish."

With that, Eliza turned and left.

Timothy quickly followed, but Eliza locked him out of the bedroom.

Timothy said, "Eliza, open the door so we can talk. Locking yourself in the room won't help."

Eliza shouted, "Get lost! I don't want to see you!"

Eliza's voice was choked with tears, making Timothy even more worried. After a while, seeing she still wouldn't open the door, he had a servant bring a spare key.

When he opened the door and saw Eliza crying on the bed, his heart ached. He quickly went over and held her. "Stop crying. You'll look bad if you keep crying."

Eliza pushed him away and said through gritted teeth, "Get out! I don't want to see you! If it weren't for you forcing Constance, she wouldn't have gone with Felix!"

Timothy was silent for a few seconds, then said softly, "Is that what you think of me?"

Eliza retorted, "Isn't it true? Didn't you just let Constance go with him?"

Timothy explained, "I let Constance go with him because they are indeed married. Even if we stop him today, he will find a way to take her in a few days."

"Delay it as long as possible! But you just gave up on Constance, and it breaks my heart!" Eliza shouted, her voice trembling with emotion.

Seeing she wouldn't listen, Timothy sighed, "You'll understand soon why I did this today."

"Get out! I don't want to understand!"

Timothy said nothing more and left the bedroom. He was not only Eliza's husband and Constance's father but also the president of the Drake Group. He had to consider more and act more cautiously. However, he believed he would bring Constance back soon!

In the pavilion, after Eliza and Timothy left, Felix carried Constance out of the villa. As soon as they reached the door, Constance said coldly, "I'll go back with you. Can you put me down now? After all, being held by someone I dislike is disgusting."
