Chapter 221

The bullet missed Gianna.

He froze for a second, but before he could react, Gianna had her handgun pressed against his forehead.

Gianna said sternly, "Scorpio, you broke your promise. Now, I'll handle this my way!"

Scorpio smirked, and said, "I gave you a gun with one bullet. You used it on the twelfth floor. Think you can still kill me?"

Gianna grinned, and remarked, "Seems you've always been cautious around me."

Scorpio scoffed, "Of course, I have to be careful with someone like you."

He quickly raised his gun to aim at Gianna, but his arm went numb, and the gun dropped.

Scorpio's eyes widened in shock, asking frantically, "What did you do to me?"

Gianna picked up the gun, smiling, and replied, "No one told you not to let me get close?"

She aimed at his chest, and said, "Goodbye, Scorpio."

Scorpio spoke, "I don't—"

Before he could finish, pain shot through his chest. Blood spurted, and he collapsed.

Gianna blew the smoke from the barrel, her expression cold as she turned to leave.

But she was quickly surrounded.

Seeing the soldiers in uniform aiming at her, Gianna's eyes turned icy.

These guys must've been alerted by Scorpio!

Everyone stared coldly, waiting for the order to shoot.

In the control room on the first floor of the cruise ship, a masked man watched the video of Gianna being surrounded, eyes full of interest.

The masked man wondered, "Can Gianna escape this time?"

Even if she took down these soldiers, what he had planned would make escape impossible!

A man in a black suit entered. He informed, "Boss, the explosives are set to go off in half an hour."

The man raised an eyebrow and smiled, saying, "We should leave too. It's a shame we won't see Iris die."

But as long as she dies, his subordinates would be at peace.

The man in the black suit asked, "What about Viper's body?"

The man replied, "Leave it. He disobeyed orders and tried to kill Iris. He has only himself to blame."

The man in the suit nodded, "Yes!"

The masked man smiled. He remarked, "If she hadn't killed so many of our men, I would've liked to recruit her."

The man in the suit said, "You'll find more capable subordinates, boss."

The masked man ordered, "Clean this place up. No traces."

After the man left, the man in the suit sighed in relief. He glanced at the monitor showing Gianna facing off with the soldiers, eyes cold.

Iris would never know that the Scorpio she met was actually Viper, just a subordinate.

The real Scorpio always stayed hidden, never revealing his identity.

Her biggest mistake was not killing everyone in the rainforest.

The man in the suit cleaned the control room and quickly left.

On the deck, the lead soldier was still questioning Gianna about who ordered her to kill Mike.

Mike's death wasn't the issue. They needed to know if other officials were targets. Otherwise, all officials would be in danger.

Gianna raised her eyebrows and pointed to Viper's body, saying, "He ordered me."

Everyone's eyes followed her finger. In that moment, Gianna grabbed the nearest soldier's hand, snatched his gun, and fired.

The sounds of the shots rang loudly.

With each shot, a soldier fell.

In seconds, five or six soldiers were down.

The remaining soldiers realized what was happening and aimed at Gianna, but she had already reached the edge of the deck. She shoved the soldier she was holding and jumped off!

The soldiers rushed to the edge but didn't see her fall into the sea.

The leader was furious, and commanded, "Search! She must still be on the ship!"

After jumping, Gianna grabbed a railing and flipped into a room.

She found some clothes, changed, let her hair down, and headed for the elevator.

Just as she reached it, the ship shook, the lights went out, and the elevator numbers disappeared.

Gianna frowned and turned to the stairs.

Descending two floors, she heard screams and chaotic footsteps.

Through the emergency lights, she saw people flooding up the stairs, terrified.

Somebody exclaimed, "There's a bomb! Run!"

Another complained, "Don't push! I can't breathe!"

Someone cried, "We're doomed!"

Panic spread, and people shoved each other. Some were pushed down, the steel steps trembling.

Gianna's eyes turned cold. As she moved down, a loud explosion erupted below, blowing apart those who were running up while destroying the stairs.

The ship shook and began to sink.

Panic intensified, and everyone ran upwards.

Gianna quickly headed back up, planning to return to the room she had been in to find something to help her escape.

After a few steps, more explosions sounded. With a ringing in her ears, she was thrown against the wall, spitting blood.

Screams and cries filled the air as the ship continued to sink, and despair set in.

Gianna grabbed the railing, struggling to move upwards.

Reaching the room's door, her body gave out, and she collapsed.

The impact had seriously injured her, and the poison from the Dreamwell Capsules was acting up again. The pain was unbearable, making her wish for death.

Leaning against the wall, gasping, she took out her phone.

This phone was meant to contact Scorpio's subordinates after her mission, but she didn't trust Scorpio. She kept it to contact Felix after escaping.

Struggling to stay conscious, she dialed a familiar number.

The call went through, but no one answered.

Gianna's eyes dimmed. Just as the call was about to disconnect, someone picked up.

Her eyes lit up, but before she could speak, a woman's voice on the other end made her feel like she had fallen into an ice cave.

Bella answered, "Hello, who is this? Felix is in the shower and can't come to the phone. Can I help you?"

The call disconnected.

Bella felt puzzled, but if it was urgent, they would call back.

Gianna felt a bone-chilling cold spread through her body. She hugged herself, her face calm.

She smiled bitterly. Extreme pain didn't bring tears, only numbness.

Explosions continued as Gianna slowly closed her eyes.

Dying here was better than facing his lies again.

The phone beside her started vibrating violently, but Gianna remained still, calmly waiting for death.

The water level rose quickly, and soon, Gianna's body was submerged.
