Chapter 232
Ulysses's face went pale as he sensed trouble.
Amelie Green, next to him, snapped, "This plane sucks! Pay us back, or they'll regret this!"
Ulysses shot her a look, "Enough, Mom, quiet down!"
Amelie, who doted on her only son, immediately fell silent.
Passengers started disembarking. Once about half had left, Ulysses and Amelie joined the crowd, hoping to blend in. But as soon as they reached the terminal, two plainclothes men approached.
"Mr. Walton, please come with us."
Ulysses stepped back, alarmed. "Why should I? I don't know you!"
The man in black remained stoic. "Mr. Walton, we don't want to force you. Please cooperate."
Ulysses raised his voice, "This is an airport! I don't know you! You can't just take me away. That's illegal!"
His outburst drew attention from the crowd. Feeling confident, Ulysses thought they wouldn't dare act in public.
One of the men flashed a police badge. "Mr. Walton, we're police. You're a suspect in a kidnapping case. Come with us."
Seeing the badge, the crowd backed off, eyeing Ulysses suspiciously.
People didn't want to be near a potential criminal like a kidnapping case.
Ulysses turned pale, gritting his teeth. "I don't know what you're talking about!"
"Mr. Walton, please cooperate with us."
Ulysses rushed for the exit. He couldn't get caught, or his life would be ruined!
The officers were ready. They chased him down and tackled him just as he reached a taxi, slapping handcuffs on him.
Amelie, stunned, finally ran after them. At the airport entrance, she saw Ulysses being put into a police car.
Panicking, she rushed to stop them, shouting, "Let go of my son! He'd never kidnap anyone! He's always been good! If you don't release him, you'll regret it!"
Seeing her causing a scene, the police took her to the station for obstructing their duties.
At the station, she threw a fit, but it was useless. Ulysses was taken to the interrogation room.
Meanwhile, Gianna was driving out of the city, desperately searching for Faith. Her phone rang. It was Felix.
"Any news on Faith's location?"
"No," Felix said grimly, "The police caught Ulysses trying to flee. He confessed to hiring thugs to sell Faith."
Gianna's face darkened, "If anything happens to Faith, Ulysses will pay!"
"Don't worry, Uriah's also looking. There should be news soon. Come back for now."
Gianna took a deep breath, "I'll keep searching. Let me know if Uriah finds anything."
After hanging up, a cold determination filled Gianna's eyes. She had planned to show mercy to the Hayden family, but now she knew she couldn't be soft.
She had uncovered all the dirt on the Hayden family, enough to send them all to prison. Ulysses and Amelie were deeply involved too.
Her eyes turned icy as she dialed Otis.
"Hand over all the evidence on the Hayden family to the police!"
After giving the order, Gianna put down her phone and kept driving, searching for Faith.
Meanwhile, Uriah had mobilized a team and quickly pinpointed Faith's location. He rushed over and arrived just in time to see Faith, disheveled, jumping from the third floor.
"Faith!"
His heart clenched as he sprinted towards her, but it was too late. Faith hit the ground like a broken butterfly.
Uriah reached her side, trembling. Seeing her covered in blood, he didn't dare to touch her.
"Get a doctor here!"
The doctor arrived quickly and, after a brief check, sighed in relief. "Faith is just unconscious. We need to take her to the hospital for further examination."
Uriah's face remained cold, "Bring those thugs here!"
Soon, the thugs were dragged before Uriah, beaten and barely recognizable. They trembled under his cold, bloodthirsty gaze.
They knew who Uriah was, "Mr. Harris, we didn't know she was your woman. Ulysses told us to do it. Please, spare us!"
Uriah kicked the speaker to the ground, who spat out blood and teeth. Uriah then stepped on his chest, nearly crushing him.
The other three, terrified, begged for mercy.
"What did you do to her?" Uriah's gaze was deadly.
They shivered. One even wet himself in fear.
"Not talking? Break their legs first."
Two subordinates came over with hammers, smashing their knees. The sound of breaking bones and screams filled the air, but Uriah watched coldly.
In agony, one thug finally spoke. "Ulysses told us to rape her to death, but she fought back. We didn't touch her. Please, spare me!"
Uriah's expression remained cold, "You better not have touched her, or you'll wish you were dead."
He turned and left.
On the way back to Dawnridge, Uriah got a call from the hospital.
"Mr. Harris, Faith only has external injuries and is in shock. She'll be fine after some rest."
"Good."
A subordinate asked quietly, "Mr. Harris, what about those men?"
"Kill them."
If he hadn't arrived in time, Faith wouldn't have survived. Keeping those men alive would only cause more harm.
Back in Dawnridge, Uriah went straight to the company instead of the hospital. As he stepped out of the elevator, his secretary approached with a serious look.
"Mr. Harris, your father is here."
Uriah's expression stayed indifferent, "Got it."
He pushed open the office door and saw Vincent Harris sitting on the sofa.
"Dad, what are you doing here?"
Vincent sneered, "Do you dare to ask?"
