Chapter 414
Rebecca recently invested in a new drama that required a lot of costumes.
Several brands wanted to collaborate with her, hoping the actors would wear their clothes and promote their brands. Tony Heafill was one of them.
Rebecca originally had a good impression of Tony Heafill. She came to the mall today to determine which brand's clothes would be more suitable for the drama, but then she encountered this situation.
Deanna's face changed. If the general manager found out that Rebecca rejected Tony Heafill because she was treated unfairly in their store, she might lose her position as manager.
She quickly said, "Ms. Wood, today's incident was due to my poor management. How about this, I'll fire this employee, and I promise this will never happen again!"
Bessie, standing behind her, suddenly looked extremely upset. She didn't expect these two women to be so powerful that Deanna would fire her over a single word.
"Deanna, don't fire me. If I lose this job, I won't be able to survive!"
Deanna gave her a cold look, showing no sympathy. "I've told you before, don't be arrogant. Anyone who walks in is a customer. It's your own fault for not learning your lesson. Today, you offended someone you shouldn't have, and this is the consequence. Go pack your things, get your paycheck for this month at the front desk, and leave."
As soon as she finished speaking, an angry voice rang out. "Wait!"
Deanna turned to look at Bella, only to realize she looked almost identical to Constance. However, when standing next to Constance, she was completely overshadowed and had no presence.
She glanced at Constance. "Ms. Drake, is she with you?"
Constance smiled slightly. "We have no relation whatsoever."
Deanna nodded and looked at Bella. "Miss, is there something you need?"
Bella sneered, "You just said that everyone who walks into your store is a customer, right?"
"Yes."
"Then why are you firing an employee who saw a customer being bullied and helped them, only to get beaten up? The injury on her face should be considered a work injury."
Seeing the slap mark on her face, Deanna frowned and called over the silent sales associate. "What exactly happened? Tell me clearly."
The sales associate recounted the events, and as she listened, Deanna's face grew darker and darker. Her eyes filled with coldness as she looked at Bessie, wishing she could slap her too.
How could someone be so stupid, seeing a conflict between customers and not trying to defuse it, but instead escalating it?
After understanding the situation, Deanna looked at Bella and said calmly, "Miss Redstone, this is a conflict between you, Ms. Drake, and Ms. Wood. As an employee of our company, Bessie not only failed to defuse the conflict but also tried to escalate it, violating our company's employee regulations. That's why I decided to fire her."
"Moreover, if she hadn't been rude to the customer first, she wouldn't have been hit. The injury on her face doesn't count as a work injury," she added.
Bella's expression turned icy. "So you're saying you don't plan to address the fact that I was hit in your store?"
"Miss Redstone, this is a personal grievance between you. We can't intervene. If you're dissatisfied, I suggest you call the police."
"So you're planning to side with Constance and her group? Do you believe that with one phone call, I can shut down your store?"
Facing Bella's threatening gaze, Deanna was silent for a few seconds before slowly saying, "What does Miss Redstone want me to do?"
"Make them apologize to me and Bessie!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Rebecca sneered, "Bella, if you want us to apologize, you should first see if you're worthy!"
Before meeting Bella, Rebecca never thought someone could be this shameless.
Bella's anger almost boiled over, and she gritted her teeth. "I wasn't talking to you!"
Rebecca chuckled. "It seems you're just like Bessie."
Bella was trembling with anger, but Rebecca just shrugged indifferently. "You're so useless and still want to argue with me. It's hilarious."
She had never lost an argument before.
Staring at Rebecca for a while, Bella gritted her teeth. "Either you apologize to me and Bessie, or this store closes down. You choose."
Constance, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, "We choose neither. If you want to shut down this store, let's see if you have the ability."
Bella sneered, "Fine, you asked for this!"
She took out her phone and called Jason, saying coldly, "Come to Bright Moon Mall immediately!"
At that moment, Jason was in a meeting with Thomas. Hearing this, he frowned. "Mr. Clinton, Miss Redstone wants me to go to Bright Moon Mall right now."
Thomas's eyes turned cold. "Did she say why?"
"No."
"Ignore her, continue the meeting!"
"Yes!"
After hanging up, Bella confidently said, "Wait half an hour, and you're done for!"
Constance wasn't angry and smiled, "I remember Miss Redstone said she could protect this sales associate and even buy everything in this store. What happened? Are you out of money and have to call for help?"
"Who said I don't have money? I just don't want to spend it on this store!"
Constance raised an eyebrow. "If you don't have money, don't pretend. It's not shameful to be broke; we won't laugh at you."
Rebecca chimed in, "It's just a pity for that sales associate. I thought you could protect her, but it turns out she followed the wrong person."
The two of them took turns mocking Bella, implying she was pretending to be rich. Bella's anger grew, and her rationality was on the verge of collapse.
"Shut up! Have you said enough?" Bella shouted.
Rebecca said, "Miss Redstone, you did it, and you don't want people to talk about it?"
Seeing the disdain in her eyes and the mockery in Constance's, Bella finally lost her rationality. She pulled out a card from her bag and handed it to Bessie. "Go swipe it! I want to buy all the clothes in this store, including the store itself!"
Bessie took the card, looking both incredulous and delighted. If all these clothes counted towards her commission, why would she care about being fired? The commission alone would be enough for her to live comfortably for the rest of her life!
"Miss Redstone! You're amazing! I'll go swipe the card right away!"
Deanna frowned, intending to stop Bessie, but Bella coldly said, "Deanna, call your general manager. I want to buy this store!"
