Chapter 320
Samuel let out a big sigh, "Alright, just hit me up if anything pops up, okay?"
Gianna hung up the phone, grabbed her coffee, and headed back to the office.
Later that evening, as Gianna was heading downstairs after work, she spotted Samuel chilling not too far away. She was totally caught off guard.
Samuel had been scoping out the crowd, and the moment he saw Gianna, he made a beeline for her.
Standing right in front of her, Samuel reached out and messed up her hair with a grin. "C'mon, let's grab some dinner."
Gianna raised an eyebrow, "Samuel, aren't you swamped with work?"
Samuel shot her a look and said, "No matter how slammed I am, I can always make time for a meal with you. Let's roll, I've got us a table at this killer Mexican spot."
Gianna's eyes sparkled at his words, and she looped her arm through his, saying, "Samuel, you're always so awesome to me!"
Little did they know, someone lurking at the corner of the street snapped a pic of their cozy moment, and it quickly found its way to Felix.
Felix clutched the photo, his eyes blazing with anger.
James, standing a few steps away, was shaking in his boots. He had no clue who sent Felix the photo, and now he was freaking out, thinking, 'If Mr. Clinton blows his top, should I bail?'
Felix tossed the crumpled photo to the ground, his face like ice. "Find out who sent this and who the guy in the photo is!"
"Yes, Mr. Clinton."
It didn't take long for James to dig up the dirt on the guy Gianna was with, and he frowned as he read it.
He handed the info to Felix. "Mr. Clinton, we ID'd the guy in the photo. He's Samuel, the third son of the Drake family from Thundertop. But he's always been in Thundertop, so he shouldn't know Miss Redstone, yet they seem pretty tight."
Felix skimmed through Samuel's info, his eyes growing colder by the second.
Lately, he'd been digging into the Thundertop key, and now Samuel showed up from Thundertop and got close to Gianna? Too much of a coincidence.
If Samuel was here for the key, then Gianna could be in serious trouble!
With that thought, Felix shot up from his seat, his voice icy, "Find out where they are now! Text me the address as soon as you have it."
When Felix rolled up to the restaurant, Gianna and Samuel had just finished eating and were walking out, laughing and chatting.
Seeing Felix, the smile on Gianna's face faded. "Mr. Clinton, what are you doing here?"
Samuel, never a fan of Felix, instinctively stepped in front of Gianna.
Felix's eyes turned even colder. "Gianna, we need to talk."
Gianna frowned, clearly annoyed. "Felix, we're divorced. What could we possibly have to talk about?"
"This is important."
Seeing the serious look in his eyes, Gianna hesitated but still shook her head, "I don't care. There's nothing left to discuss."
With that, she turned to leave with Samuel.
As she walked past Felix, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and yanked her into his arms.
The familiar scent of pine from Felix hit her, and Gianna immediately tried to push him away, but his grip was like a vice, making it impossible for her to break free.
"Mr. Clinton, let go of Gianna!" Samuel's smile was still there, but anyone who knew him could tell he was about to blow.
Felix shot Samuel a cold look. "Mr. Drake, what's your deal with Gianna? What gives you the right to tell me to back off?"
"Our deal is none of your business. Just know I'm closer to her than you are," Samuel replied, his smile turning icy.
Felix snapped back, "I'm taking Gianna with me today!"
Samuel sneered, "Then ask her. If she wants to go with you, I won't stop her."
Felix's grip tightened. "No matter what, she's coming with me!"
He grabbed Gianna's waist and started to leave when a dozen guys in black suddenly surrounded them.
Samuel's voice was cold as ice. "If you want to take Gianna, you'll have to get through these guys from the Drake family's Black Security."
Gianna's eyes narrowed at the mention of Black Security. These guys were elite, tough as nails.
Even though Felix was strong, he didn't stand a chance against the Black Security.
Thinking of this, Gianna frowned. "Felix, you can't beat them. Let me go."
Felix's eyes turned cold, and he looked down at her. "If I can beat them, will you agree to talk to me?"
Gianna asked, "What do you want to say? Why not talk now?"
Felix shot a cold glance at Samuel and replied, "I want to talk to you alone. I don't want Mr. Drake around."
Samuel raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Alright, if you can take down the Black Security, I'll let you take Gianna."
"Fine," Felix agreed.
Felix let go of Gianna and was about to throw down with the Black Security when Gianna suddenly grabbed his hand. "Are you nuts? You can't beat them!"
Plus, the Black Security's moves were deadly, and Felix would definitely get seriously hurt.
Felix looked down at her and asked, "Are you worried about me?"
Gianna's eyes flickered, then she coldly said, "No, I just don't want Samuel causing trouble in Dawnridge. You're the president of the Clinton Group. If something happens to you, Samuel will also be held responsible."
The light in Felix's eyes dimmed, and his gaze turned icy. "I've heard a lot about the Drake family's Black Security. Today, I finally get to see what they're made of!"
With that, Felix charged at the nearest Black Security guy, and soon, a dozen men surrounded him.
Samuel pulled Gianna to the side, saying, "Gianna, stay here. I don't want you getting hurt by accident."
Gianna glared at him and said angrily, "Samuel, having a dozen Black Security guys gang up on him is too much!"
Samuel looked at her and asked, "Are you worried about him?"
Gianna's face turned slightly awkward. "I'm not worried about him. I'm worried about you!"
Samuel replied, "Don't worry. I'll take full responsibility if anything happens!"
While they were talking, Felix had already started fighting the Black Security. Their moves were so fast it was hard to keep up.
Gianna's hands tightened unconsciously at her side. Every time Felix got hit, her heart ached, and her worry showed in her eyes.
Samuel watched her expression, his frown deepening.
Samuel thought, 'Looks like Gianna still has feelings for Felix. I need to find a way to make her completely give up on him!'
