Chapter 213

Seeing Kyle, Gianna was surprised.

Gianna explained, "One of my relatives is in the hospital. Why are you here?"

Kyle paused, then said, "Visiting a friend."

Gianna nodded and said, , "I'm busy today, so I'll head out."

Kyle replied, "Alright."

After she left, Kyle rushed back to Jonah's room.

Kyle said excitedly, "Jonah, guess who I saw at the entrance!"

Jonah, still reading, barely looked up and said, "I don't care."

Kyle asked, "Even if it was G?"

Jonah's grip on his book tightened, knuckles whitening.

Jonah inquired, "Why is she here?"

Kyle informed, "She said a relative is in the hospital."

Jonah looked disappointed but stayed calm, and replied, "Got it."

Kyle asked, "She asked why I was here. I said a friend was hospitalized. Want me to tell her about you?"

Jonah cut him off, "No, don't tell her. Avoid her in the future."

Kyle sighed and said, "I don't get it. You saved her. If she knew, she'd be grateful. You could confess, and maybe she'd say yes."

Jonah smiled sadly and said, "She doesn't like me, and she's happy now. That's enough."

Meanwhile, Gianna and Garrett arrived at Natalie's room just as a nurse walked out.

They went in, and Gianna's face turned grim as she checked on Natalie.

Gianna said urgently, "Garrett, give me your medical kit!"

Garrett opened it, and Gianna quickly inserted silver needles into Natalie's body. Garrett's face changed as he watched.

Gianna was sweating by the time she finished. Soon, Natalie's skin started sweating a silver-gray substance.

Gianna removed the needles and wiped off the substance, then instructed, "Check who entered Natalie's room since Felix left!"

Garrett replied, "Got it."

Half an hour later, Gianna finished cleaning Natalie, dressed her, and covered her with a blanket.

Garrett returned, and reported, "Since Felix left, only the nurse we saw entered Natalie's room."

Gianna's eyes flashed coldly and asked, "Found the nurse?"

Garrett informed, "She left along routes without cameras. No footage."

Gianna nodded and replied, "I see."

She suspected Thomas was behind it.

Garrett asked, "Gianna, what now?"

Gianna instructed, "Strengthen the guard at Natalie's door. How are the medicine?"

Garrett looked grave and said, "Most are ready, but one is out of stock. Only the master has it, so I need to go back."

Both fell silent. Returning to Herb Valley would break its rules, leading to punishment.

Four years ago, a senior brother broke the rules to save his family. Though his family was saved, he died a month later from internal injuries. Since then, no one dared to break Herb Valley's rules.

Gianna replied, "I can't leave Natalie here, so I'll need you to go to Willow Creek and ask the master to send the medicine."

Garrett paused, then nodded, "Alright. If all goes well, I should be back in two days."

Gianna said appreciatively, "Thanks, Garrett."

After Garrett left, Gianna stayed in Natalie's room to keep her safe. If they had been a few minutes later, Natalie wouldn't have made it. Gianna's eyes turned icy at the thought.

Meanwhile, at Thomas's villa in Dawnridge, he lounged on a leather sofa, sipping red wine, and muttered, "The poison should have worked by now. I expect news of her death soon."

With Natalie gone, Harmony Garden would be his. And with the Clinton Group's core secrets leaked, the stock would plummet. He'd buy it at rock bottom and take over.

Thomas's phone rang. Seeing it was from Thundertop, he smirked and answered.

Thomas asked excitedly, "So, is Natalie dead yet?"

The nurse informed, "Thomas, she's not dead."

Thomas's smile vanished. He smashed his wine glass, spilling red wine like blood.

Thomas cursed, "Useless!"

The nurse explained, "Thomas, I injected the poison, but after Gianna and Garrett went in, Natalie recovered."

Thomas hung up, eyes dark with anger. Garrett had ruined his plans. He made another call, "Track Garrett. You have three days. I want him dead!"

Just then, Celeste approached.

Celeste reported, "Thomas, Felix is back at the Clinton Group."

Thomas smirked, and said, "Time to see the show."

At the Clinton Group, Felix was in a meeting with shareholders. Ignoring James's attempts to stop him, Thomas barged in.

Thomas said sarcastically, "Felix, under your management, the Clinton Group had a major breach. Shouldn't you resign?"

Felix, exuding authority, looked at Thomas coldly, and said, "If I recall, your secretary Jason stole and leaked the secrets. You should resign."

Thomas smirked, and retorted, "Jason was assigned to me by you, Felix. He couldn't have become my man so quickly."

Felix's expression was icy. He stated, "Ten minutes ago, the shareholders voted to terminate you. Leave immediately."

Thomas wasn't surprised. He stared coldly at Felix, and claimed, "I'll be back, and next time, I'll be in your seat!"

Felix remained indifferent, continuing the meeting.

James escorted Thomas out. The meeting continued for over an hour, with shareholders looking grim. The leak was a significant blow, potentially leading to bankruptcy.

Felix returned to his office, ignoring a pile of breach of contract notices. He called Gianna, but her phone was off. He frowned and called James.

Felix commanded, "Find out where Gianna is!"

James returned, looking grim, and reported, "Felix, Natalie and Gianna are both missing!"
