Chapter 6
She stepped out of the car and didn't look back, and Felix soon drove away.
Observing Gianna's diminishing figure in the rearview mirror, Felix couldn't help but feel irritated.
Felix didn't understand why Gianna, who had always been gentle, was so insistent this time. He had already put down his dignity and taken the initiative to come to her, but she still wanted a divorce.
But the biggest thing for now was to see Bella. He would find some time to talk with Gianna about the divorce.
Gianna had gone back about 100 meters when Jonah called, "Gianna, where are you?"
The anxiety in Jonah's voice tugged at Gianna's heartstrings.
"I'm on Mid-Mountain Road. I'm on my way back."
"Where is Felix?" Jonah asked, confused
Gianna answered peacefully, "He left."
"He left you alone on Mid-Mountain Road in the middle of the night? I'm on my way, stay there and wait for me. I'll be there in five minutes!"
Without giving her a chance to refuse, Jonah hung up.
Gianna put away her phone and waited.
When Jonah arrived, Gianna was standing on the side of the road, kicking a stone.
Jonah opened the door and got out of the car, relieved to see that Gianna was okay. He quickly walked over to her and opened the passenger door.
“Get in,” he said.
Gianna saw what Jonah did for her and really appreciated it. She smiled at Jonah and said, “No wonder there are so many girls that like you. You're so gentle."
Jonah was a bit shy and said, "What about you? Do you think I'd be a good boyfriend?"
Gianna knew he was joking and nodded, "Definitely. You'd be the perfect boyfriend."
Jonah felt a bit disappointed. "Too bad the girl I like didn't feel the same."
Gianna patted him on the shoulder and reassured him, "That's funny. The person I like doesn’t feel the same about me either."
Jonah shook his head and laughed, "That’s so terrible. Now I feel even worse."
"Let's head back. I've got to work tomorrow."
Jonah raised his eyebrows, "Coming back as my agent?"
"Not a chance. Besides, you've got an agent, and even if I worked as an agent again, I wouldn't have a chance to work with you."
Jonah smiled without saying more.
Back at the Villa, the coffee was already cold, and Gianna was in no mood to drink it. They have a good night and go back to their room.
The following day, Gianna got up, got ready, and headed downstairs. She saw Faith already waiting for her in the living room. She hurried down the stairs.
"Hayden Walton, how about giving me one more day off?" she asked.
Faith sneered. He now looks like a demon who is about to eat her. He throws a pile of documents directly into Gianna's hands.
"You took three years off, and you still want to take a break? Read these papers while on the way to the office. We have a lot of things to do today!"
Gianna looked at the files in her arms, "How can my first day be so busy?"
"Don't mention it. You were gone for three years. Those managers are about to turn My Fashion over and put their relatives into the office who only want money but do nothing. If you don't come back, the company will fall sooner or later!"
Gianna was speechless.
On the way to the office, Faith couldn't hold back the question in her mind.
"By the way, when I came over this morning, I saw rising film star Jonah at your place. You've barely ended with Felix, and you're already dating a movie star?"
Gianna's eyes move from the papers to her face. "First, he’s just a friend. Second, Felix and I aren’t officially divorced yet, so he's not my ex-husband."
Faith's eyes flashed with shock, "So you mean to tell me you’re dating a movie star before you're even divorced from Felix? That’s crazy!"
"Do you even understand what I said? "
Faith lifted her chin, "Of course, I was always top of my class."
"Are you the only one in your class?"
"Gianna, just zip it!"
Gianna didn't say another word. She looked down at the file.
The sudden ring broke the silence of her phone.
She saw an unfamiliar number pop up on her phone and wondered who that would be.
As soon as she picked up the call, Felix's voice came through. "Gianna, take my damn number off your blacklist!"
Gianna cut off the phone and shut it off directly. She threw the phone to Faith and said, "Go get me a new SIM card and cancel this one."
Faith recalled Gianna's earlier teasing and said back, "I'm not your secretary! Find your secretary for that!"
Gianna closed the document, raised an eyebrow, and said, "OK, anyway, I see My Fashion is going to die. Just file for bankruptcy directly."
"No, no, no! I'm sorry! I was wrong. I'll take care of it right away, okay?!" Faith prayed to Gianna.
Gianna's lips quirked as she saw Faith. "I was kidding, don't take it seriously."
Faith breathed a sigh of relief.
Upon arrival at My Fashion, the first thing Gianna did was hold a shareholder’s meeting.
An hour later, the shareholders, typically known for their domineering demeanor, entered the room with livid expressions, their anger palpable.
Soon, only Faith and Gianna remained.
Faith gave Gianna a thumbs up," Gianna, you are really awesome! I was stunned when I saw how you kept those shareholders in Silence. I have never seen such Silence under attack."
Gianna glanced at her expressionlessly. " Immediately arrange the list of other shareholders into M Fashion and give it to me, and the layoffs will start tomorrow."
Faith was shocked by what she said. "So soon? Those old people have just suffered losses at your hands today, and they are still angry, and I am afraid that anyone who touches them now will arouse their discontent."
"If anyone has a problem," Gianna stated, "they can come to my office."
With that, Gianna got up and left abruptly. Now, she had a clearer understanding of My Fashion's problems. If they weren't addressed promptly, the company could face bankruptcy within the year.
Back in her office, where she had been absent for three years, Gianna wasted no time getting down and went straight to work.
Within an hour, news of my Fashion founder’s return spread throughout Dawnridge's business circles.
Gianna had always been a mystery. She never revealed herself to the public. Now, everyone was questioning her return, speculating whether she was back to save My Fashion.
In the CEO's office of Sirius Trading Syndicate.
Felix had been trying to reach Gianna, but her phone shut down, and he almost lost all his patience.
As soon as Sophia walked into the office, she felt like she was in a cold place. She even walked a lot lighter.
"Felix, we might need to put a hold on our acquisition of My Fashion," she said. " I heard today that the founder of My Fashion is back."
Felix frowned, "The acquisition plan goes ahead and adds another 100 million on top of the original."
"The founder came out of nowhere, soared in the business world with My Fashion, and later made a strategic retreat. Their return probably means a rescue mission. Acquiring My Fashion might not be the best choice now." Sophia advised.
Felix looked indifferent and said, "Proceed with the acquisition. If the money isn't enough, then add more. I don't want to repeat it again! Also, keep an eye on Jonah's villa. Let me know the moment Gianna shows up."
"Understood, Felix."
Sophia could sense Felix's irritability and felt an odd pang in her heart. Felix loved Bella, so why wasn't he divorced Gianna?
But this is Felix's own business. She would have to follow his orders.
"Oh, and Felix, the 'Tears of the Angel' necklace you bought in Seattle has arrived. Should I have it delivered to Miss Redstone personally?"
Angel's tear is a blue teardrop shaped gemstone as the main stone and thousands of diamonds embellished as a necklace. Too shiny under the light that everyone falls with the beauty of this necklace.
The moment he saw it, Felix thought it was perfect for Gianna and immediately took a picture of it as a gift for her third anniversary, but then he forgot about it because of a fight with Gianna.
Felix pressed his lips and said, "Give it to me. I'll give it to Gianna by myself."
Sophia took the angel tear to Felix's office and left. Felix picked up a document, but he couldn’t focus on it. All he could think about was Gianna's expression last night.
Felix threw the file and was confused by the sense of loss of control. He was about to get up to take a breath when his phone rang.
