Chapter159
Felix turned to look at her, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I was wondering how to smooth things over with you," he said.
In the days since Gianna had calmed down, she wasn't as angry anymore, but she didn't want to let this matter go so easily, knowing that such incidents would likely happen again in the future.
Gianna remained silent, sitting quietly beside Felix.
"Gianna, what are you doing here? A business partner wants to talk to you."
Only then did Faith notice Felix standing nearby, feeling a bit awkward.
"Mr. Clinton, I'll borrow Gianna for a while. I promise she'll be back in one piece," said Faith.
Gianna gave her a displeased look, then turned to Felix, saying, "I'll go over there first, and I'll come find you later."
Felix nodded. "Alright."
Not long after Gianna left, Bella approached Felix cautiously. "Felix, I have something to ask you."
Felix opened his eyes, looking at her indifferently. "What is it?"
"After you found out I was drugged that day, you came to see me and took me to the hotel. It means you still care about me, right?"
After this period of Felix's cold attitude toward her, Bella accepted the fact that she wasn't as important to him as before, but she couldn't accept that Felix had truly fallen in love with Gianna.
Felix's impatience was evident in his eyes as he coldly replied, "Don't flatter yourself. I went there that day because Sophia's phone was broken, and I also told Sophia that I wouldn't intervene the next time such a thing happened. Didn't she tell you?"
Bella's face paled, and she bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes.
"But you helped me deal with the business partner who drugged me."
Felix chuckled coldly. "Bella, you haven't forgotten that this was something I promised you before, have you?"
Bella closed her eyes, feeling sad and resentful.
"Do you really not like me anymore?"
"I've told you before," said Felix.
Bella left dejectedly while Felix's expression remained cold.
If it weren't for that day at the hotel, Gianna wouldn't have been so indifferent to him until now.
It was at the end of the banquet that Gianna returned to Felix's side.
Seeing Felix had drunk quite a bit, Gianna couldn't help but furrow her brows. "Mr. Clinton, why are you drinking so much?"
Felix was already a bit tipsy, and upon seeing Gianna, he immediately reached out and pulled her into his arms.
"Gianna, I'm sorry. Forgive me this time, okay?"
As he spoke, Gianna caught a whiff of alcohol on Felix's breath and frowned. "You're drunk."
Gianna tried to push Felix away, but he held onto her waist tightly, not letting her go.
"Are you still unwilling to forgive me?" he asked.
Gianna remained silent for a few seconds before saying slowly, "We'll talk when you're sober."
With that, Gianna felt Felix's grip on her waist tightened slightly.
After a while, Felix let go of Gianna, his expression calm again. "I'll take you back later."
"Okay, I'll go say goodbye to Grandma Natalie first."
After saying goodbye to Natalie, Gianna was about to leave when she was suddenly stopped by Natalie.
"Gianna, you heard about me giving Harmony Garden to Thomas today, right? You and Felix won't be upset about this, will you?"
Gianna shook her head. "Grandma Natalie, even though Felix and I are sort of back together, we're essentially divorced, and Harmony Garden belongs to you. You can decide who to give it to."
Natalie sighed, "Thomas has no parents now. If I don't leave him something, he'll truly have nothing in the future. Who would be willing to marry him then?"
"Grandma Natalie, you've got to do what feels right to you. Don't worry about it."
Leaving Harmony Garden, Gianna coincidentally met Thomas, who was about to leave.
Thomas nodded at Gianna and then left directly.
Gianna walked to Felix's car, opened the door, and got in.
"What did Thomas say to you just now?" asked Felix.
Seeing the jealousy in Felix's eyes, Gianna said expressionlessly, "Nothing. Why are you so suspicious?"
"Just asking casually. Where are we going tonight?"
"Take me to Elm Bay."
After saying that, Gianna noticed Felix's expression darken. "What's wrong?" she asked.
Felix pursed his lips and said slowly, "If you really like Elm Bay, I can buy you a villa there. I don't want you living in another man's villa."
Gianna raised an eyebrow, thought for a few seconds, and decided to tell him the truth.
"In fact, the villa in Elm Bay is mine."
Felix furrowed his brows. "I had Sophia investigate before, and the result showed the villa was under Jonah's name."
"There must have been a mistake in the investigation, and at that time, I just wanted to divorce you, so I didn't explain," said Gianna.
"Why did you suddenly decide to explain today?"
Gianna felt helpless. "If I didn't explain, you would definitely argue with me over this matter."
In the end, Felix did take Gianna back to the villa in Elm Bay, but he got out of the car with her.
"I'll be living here with you," he said.
Gianna looked displeased. "Mr. Clinton, I'm still not over what happened before."
"I know. That's why I want to be close to you and try to make you forgive me sooner," said Felix.
"You can buy one on your own!"
"Even if I buy one, I'll still live with you."
Without buying, he could sleep on the sofa in her house if they argued. With buying, Gianna would definitely kick him out after their argument. Felix wouldn't make such a losing deal.
Seeing Felix's determined look, Gianna ignored him and walked quickly to the door, entering the password to open it.
Knowing that the villa belonged to Gianna, Felix began to look around carefully, realizing that the interior design was similar to Grand View.
After they got married, because the marital home was too far from the Clinton Group, Felix had Sophia buy a villa near the Clinton Group at Grand View, where he moved in with Gianna.
Felix wasn't too concerned about the decoration. It was mostly Gianna's doing, following her preferences.
Looking at the huge teddy bear sofa in the living room, Felix couldn't help but smile involuntarily.
"It seems your preferences haven't changed," he said.
"Yes, lying on this sofa and reading is so comfortable. Do you want to try?"
Felix raised an eyebrow. "I want to try it with you."
Gianna's face blushed suddenly as she realized Felix's implication, and she glared at him. "No joking!"
"Just being honest."
Feeling the conversation was veering off track, Gianna turned and headed upstairs, saying, "Let me show you to your room."
After arranging a room for Felix, Gianna returned to her bedroom, washed up, and went to bed.
The next morning, she got up, washed up, and went downstairs to find that Felix had already prepared breakfast, surprising her.
"What time did you get up?" she asked.
"I woke up at six."
"You don't have to get up so early in the future. I usually don't eat breakfast."
"Okay."
After breakfast, they each drove to work.
Just as she arrived downstairs at MY FASHION, Gianna received a call from Faith.
"Gianna, LR Design Studio suddenly lowered its prices today. They're probably preparing for a price war!"
"I'm already downstairs at the company. Let's discuss it when I get upstairs."
Soon, Gianna gathered the shareholders for a meeting to discuss LR Design Studio's price reduction.
"How do guys think about LR Design Studio's sudden price reduction?" Gianna asked.
Faith looked serious as she spoke slowly, "LR Design Studio did the same thing a year ago, gradually lowering their prices. After probing our price bottom line, they dropped by 30% directly, forcing us to go lower and suffer some big losses."
Recalling the events from a year ago, the other shareholders were also somewhat angry because that incident had led to losses for MY FASHION. LR Design Studio had taken advantage of them several times afterward, making their profits take a hit.
"Ms. Redstone, since we're going to incur losses anyway, why don't we take the initiative this year? Drop our prices more and catch LR Design Studio off guard!"
